  1. I am still in. The 3rd seed. I won my first game this past weekend. When Winston got hurt, I picked up Phillip Rivers and Jarrod Goff, and was streaming them....it proved very positive. Rivers has been on fire. Goff has been very solid too... a few weeks ago I got 263 points (the league previous high was 190)... My running backs are my weak spot (Jamal Williams, Joe Mixon, CJ Anderson and Mike Davis), but my receivers have been spectacular (Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Nelson Agholar, Marquise Goodwin and DeSean Jackson). Also, I am ashamed to say I have Gronkowski, who has had a great fantasy season...had to start Evan Engram this past weekend. I have been going with the Seahawks defense all year...been solid, more weeks than not. Interestigly, my kicker was Hauschka...I cut him Sunday morning when I saw the weather...picked up Forbath, the VIkings kicker...he got me 10 points, as opposed to 1 that Hauschka would have given me. Kinda nervous this week...I am afraid my luck will run out with guys like Brown and Allen... My opponent has Russell Wilson, Alvin Kamara, Kareem Hunt, Travis Kelce, Doug Baldwin, Mike Evans... a lot of big play guys. I really want to win this thing! We play for a pretty decent prize (about $1500), and I could really use it this year! I like your chances there. You got great RB's and very solid QB & WR. I have a feeling Mike Evans is in for a big game this week...it will be a MNF for the Bucs. I am tempted to play Winston myself...but I have to stick with Rivers right now.
  2. I think there are plenty of women who would argue that this is precisely what has been happening to them throughout time.
  3. In case you haven't been paying attention, you don't have any idea what is going on with the collusion story. Mueller investigation isn't leaking info, and it is driving the president crazy...crazier than he already was. Thanks for chiming in Mr Hannity...
  4. Well, just coincidentally, the three current NFLNetwork guys mentioned (Marshall Faulk, Ike Taylor and Heath Evans) are three of the very worst personalities on the network. If they all got canned, it would be addition by subtraction...
  5. So, anyone make it to their league playoffs?
  6. As an old Bills fan, the Dolphins are still the team I hate more than any other, all-time. Patriots and Cowboys are very close behind... I can't root for anyone in this game...
  7. Playoffs start tomorrow... Which running backs would you start? CJ Anderson- Broncos (vs Jets) OR MIke Davis- Seahawks (@Jaguars) Which WR for FLEX? Devin Funches- Panters (vs Vikings) Nelson Agholor- Eagles (@Rams) Marquise Goodwin- Texans (@Texans) DeSean Jackosn- Buccaneers (vs Lions)
  8. Yeah...Paul McCartney is "overrated in general"...okay.
  9. I have been hating this show, and myself for continuing to watch, for about 3 years now. The writing is just so terrible. But, I will likely continue to wear my shitting pants, and watch til the end...
  10. Very true. However, if they kept playing the way they did for about the first 15 games of this season, I think it would put a bit or wear on LeBron...that guy has logged a lot of miles in the NBA. Of course, he was fantastic in the playoffs last year, but he did have a few games along the way, where he looked beat up. Regardless, while I want the Celtics to represent the Eastern Conference in the finals, I will be pulling for whichever team takes on the West.
  11. Yeah, I get that. But, I think Celtics fans are a bit different that fans of other Boston franchises. Maybe I am kidding myself...I am not from Boston, hate all other teams from the area. A lot of players have the same feeling about them as you, which is why they always have a tough time drawing big name free agents. But, once they get there, they love it. I am no fan of the city of Boston, but I think they are a great franchise. I also think the NBA fans there "get it". They are in general, a very knowledgeable fan base. They cheer for the other team when they do something special...and they respect the game. As a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan, I sometimes wish our fan base would follow their lead. I absolutely love the team they have built this year...they are built for the long haul...not the quick fix. Not sure if they'll get past LeBron (though I like their chances much more than last year), but I know it is a smart franchise, it isn't futile to root for them, because the franchise is putting as much effort into building a winner as the fans are cheering for them to win one. It's the way it should be. You may very well be right, IRT to the Celtics/LeBron... I think LeBron is awesome, and the Cavs seem to be finding a groove right now. I do know though, if they meet again in the playoffs, it will be a great series (better than last years' ECF) because the Celtics are significantly better than the team they had last year. It still might not be enough to take down LeBron, but he is getting a little older...he won't be able to carry a team on his back, every year, forever. Either way, I have no problem rooting for LeBron James, if he makes it to another final, even at the cost of my team.
  12. Personally, I think Whaley was fine...he got the guys that the coaches wanted, and it cost him. Changing schemes with Ryan (the biggest mistake hire that the owners could have made), when the team he had put together, under Marrone was on the cusp of being very, very good. Hiring Rex was like re-building, when you really didn't need to. There seems to be plenty of indication that Rex was not Whaley's choice as QB. He wanted to hire Hue Jackson. The Browns, in the last few days, said that Hue Jackson will be back next year...so, maybe the Browns are thinking they need a GM who wants Hue Jackson as their coach?
  13. It is populated according to the current standings, tie breakers factored in, on NFL.com. Last week, I was the #2 seed in our league, and scheduled to be off in week 14. However, after week 13 (I lost) and lost a tie-breaker, I am now the 3rd seed. So, in answer to question, assuming you still have a week 14 "regular season" game, your ranking could still change. I gather your leauge only has 4 playoff spots? If so, you really want to win this week!
  14. My brother passed away a couple of weeks ago, after a sudden illness. He was as big a Bills fan as I have ever known...in our last conversation he advised me "don't waste too much time on the Bills...I'd kill to have all those wasted Sundays back"
  15. I guess so. I am going to watch every minute of all the rest of the games, so I would just assume they try to win them. Who knows what next year brings? I think it is unlikely that Taylor or McCoy are back...I also wouldn't be shocked to see Clay gone.
  16. As far as very worst performances ever (in other words, in terms of worst performances) I would honestly have to say that the New Orleans game, this year, is about a bad a non-preseason game performance as I can ever remember a Bill squad putting on. There may have been a New England drubbing or two during the drought that I have blotted out of my mind, but that Saints game was really, really pathetic. Obviously, there have been many more losses that were more devastating in terms of their affect on a particular season, but that 2017 performance, at home, against the Saints, stunk from the opening kickoff til the very end. Embarrassing...
  17. I can definitely see Dennison being ejected after this season...he was their 4th choice for OC, if I recall. As for McDermott, he isn't going anywhere...
  18. We all know McAdoo is getting fired after the season...I wonder if he makes it through the whole season, with this move.
  19. Yes....that was all over the Facebook today...I watched the game and didn't notice it...but it almost looks like the video is just running backwards...but the guys behind Zay all look normal...very strange...pretty cool!
  20. One quarter left in the SNF game, where I have Antonio Brown and Jamal Williams still playing...I have 232 points! I wish it went this way every week! I'll probably struggle to score 70 next week! I'm leading 232.40 to 85.7! POS Player Opp Status Stats Points QB P. 21. I seem to recall a rumor, at the time (propagated by Bucky Gleason as I recall) that LaFontaine was somehow disrespectful toward Kim Pegula. My impression was that it was disrespectful in a "wtf is she doing here?" sort of way.
  22. I did...got 86 points out of that combo!
  23. Yes. I don't follow college basketball closely at all..when they first hired Stevens, I was a little skeptical...he looks like he is 15. But he knows what strings to pull, he's not a cocky jerk, and the players seem to like him a lot. Of course, having Irving doesn't hurt... Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the game tonight. Had to choose between the NBA or NHL package...I was sure he Sabres were going to be competitive, so I pulled the trigger on Center Ice...now I can't sit through a whole Sabres game....also, when I checked the NBA schedule, the Celtics had 34 nationally televised games this year...likely more if they they are good...
  24. Oh well, looks like the winning streak could come to an end tonight...but just nice to follow a team that is competing in their sport.
  25. Would you start: Jared Goff (vs Saints. at home. minus leading receiver, Robert Woods) or Philip Rivers (at Dallas, Thanksgiving Day...I also have Keenan Allen as my #2 WR...too bad they don't play the Bills every week!)
