I feel like I am missing the original post in this thread. It just starts with our normal injury list.

I wonder how Javon Holland is doing this year. He was the one free agent I really wanted.

Will McD ever have a coaching tree?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would argue that if you are an assistant under a successful head coach and then after that, directly go to be a head coach, you are considered “part of that tree.” Bit of a silly and pointless debate, but that seems like a decent general rule. -

curious why you wouldn’t consider Dabs or Brady as part of his tree? -
Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha. Yeah, right. I already know our 1-point plan: 1) Get back to fundamentals. -
I play in an old man bball rec league with some really bad officials. I was having this same debate with some of my buddies in the league. they are always getting into spats with the refs. They say the refs should be thin skinned and they are getting paid and so they should be better and should take the criticism. My view is to keep my mouth shut— it’s pointless. They are bad, and there’s nothing that will change it. I just take the bad calls and move on. Just the way it is and I’d rather just brush it off.

It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about Taron
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem with Taron being underperforming is the defense basically needs him to be elite. He is the cog to the entire D. -

Just wait until the pats lose a bit, and we will see how their emotional leader channels that emotion. -
OCTOBER 19: Around the NFL, Week 7
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall
yet we saw intentional grounding when the QB was 1 foot inside the tackle box! They really need to spend this much time looking at this replay? -

Weird. They have Bijan and they are throwing on 4th and 1? -

Technically correct. But weird. they really aren’t that precise with the “out of the tackle box.” He was like a foot or two away. -

Wow. They usually are pretty liberal with that call. -

How can the niners throw the ball to a lineman? Shouldn’t that have been illegal touching? -

What is with this atlanta offense? Last week, it was super creative. Ton of motion, unique formations and groupings. This week it is very simple. -

I think you just have to run on them. San Fran with a pretty good game plan so far. -

it’s a really hard play, and some of these QBs and WRs make it look so easy. That was a perfect throw and such a great adjustment and strong catch. They made it look super easy. -
For the many superstitious fans out there like me (and @Just Jack ), you have to admire Dan Campbell’s wife! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/wife-detroit-lions-dan-campbell-200000333.html Here are the highlights: During games in Detroit, Holly watches and supports the team from a stadium suite — just not in the way most people might imagine. “If things are not going our way, I get sent to the bathroom,” she shares, noting there's one inside the suite. *** But if things go south, Holly takes note of what she was wearing and puts the outfit “on ice for a while,” adding that it's "not being worn any time soon.” *** At the time, the Lions endured 10 losses before finally securing a win against the Minnesota Vikings. “The day we won our first game, I forgot to say it – for the first time ever,” Holly says. “And it’s worked out for him, so maybe it was me. The whole time, it was me saying, ‘Do a good job.’ ”
