Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Re Hill, the guy had like 6 catches for 80 yards in game 1 against us, and then had like 6 carries for 50 yards in the playoff games. Don’t know if you remember, but they ran these very delayed screens with him, and he looked like Barry sanders out there. i really hope he is a point of emphasis for the D this week, though i know they probably have enough to worry about with Lamar and Henry. -
the groin injuries are a real plague right now!

my buddy mentioned the hernia to me as if it was fact. I just am not sure if he got the surgery or not. If not, I think he is out for the year?

ugh. I have a buddy who said this is a sports hernia. Has anyone else seen that? I think that probably means surgery and likely out for the season.

One Raven I always fear is Justice Hill. For whatever reason, that guy just owns us. We can’t let him pick up these easy 8-yard gains on dump offs all game. -
Not sure if Elam was on AJ Brown all night, but sounds like there was help there, which one might expect against Brown. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/breaking-news/article/aj-brown-on-getting-only-1-target-against-cowboys-thats-not-something-i-can-control-131911838.html And this: “They did a good job of matching some of our routes,” Nick Sirianni said. “They did a good job of matching some things and taking away A.J. We had some different things to him that Jalen had to get through some progressions, and I think Jalen did a really nice job getting through his progressions tonight and then made some plays with his legs as well." https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/aj-brown-vs-cowboys-jalen-hurts-devonta-smith-jahan-dotson/682622/?amp=1

I know we are a bit banged up at corner, but will this be the first time that we face these guys with a fully healthy front 7, including Bernard, Milano, and Taron? -
I would love to know the cowboys’ defensive strategy. The corners were playing way off, yet their receivers were pretty non-existent. That doesn’t make a lot of sense. Hurts didn’t even try to throw it to the receivers, opting instead for 3-yard dump offs and easy scrambles.

i posted this in the US Open thread, but that Pegula loss just felt like a bad Bills playoff loss.

I am rooting hard now for Osaka. Would love to see her advance and then knock off the Beast. -
I don’t think he is the one putting stress on anyone. It’s everyone else. He has two number 1 receivers, a top 5 TE, and the best RB in the league out there with him, behind probably the best line in the league. And all he does with that is throw 5-yard passes and scrambles? I think you put a guy like Tua on this team, and looks exactly the same.

This felt like a bad Bills loss. She really had it. Had a ton of break chances in that third set, and couldn’t convert. Feel awful for her.
