Washington @ Philadelphia - NFC Championship Game thread
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why go for 2? Just to be tied in the 2nd qtr? Way too many scoring variables left. -
So they steal cine and won’t even play him?!

Where are you watching the game today?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am seeing a lot of wrong answers here. the correct answer is: “watching the game in the exact same position, with the exact same people, with the exact same clothes on, as last Sunday.” -
Have you ever quit following a sports team?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
nutting doesn’t understand the entire purpose of being a pro sports owner. You can’t just run the team to basically be profitable. What’s the point? You own this team for enjoyment and fun. You need to operate it in a manner that will increase that enjoyment! He can still make a solid profit while really investing in the success of the team. But he seems to run the team now like some penny-pinching private equity nerd— only trying to absolutely maximize profits. It’s so dumb. (And, to think, he’s doing this while squandering probably the greatest young pitcher in decades). -
my wife loves butterfingers. I hate them. Hate the texture.

interesting. I always blamed my lack of interest in the Australian Open to time zone differences. But you are right: I feel like the media coverage (at least in the US) has been very low. Might also be the fact that it competing with NFL and college football playoffs, plus the heart of regular season NBA and NHL.

I only saw the results, and didn’t watch. In fact, I probably have watched about less than 30 minutes of the Australian Open in my entire life! That said, congrats! Can’t believe she could Beat Sabalenka, who is an absolute monster.

i thought we all had a gentleman’s agreement about not posting Paul McCartney! If we want to go down that route, he should get his own separate thread.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

I thought the same thing. Earlier this week, when I saw he was “questionable” on the report, I was like, “yup, sounds about right; questionable in more ways than one.” -
I only went to a few Reds games, but I really liked the set-up of those stadiums downtown and right by the river.

or how about the 1993 AFCCG against KC? Thurman had 190 yards. What made that game so memorable was how vaunted that KC run defense was, and how they shut us down during the regular season. I was super nervous heading into that game! -
This morning I made crepes. I had a little bit of batter left and poured it into the pan. It formed what looked like a Buffalo Bills logo. Victory is ours.

I am willing him to give him a pass in that game. It was 2020. He was only 15. -
Belichick believes Kelce is the Chiefs offense
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
agreed. I would have never guessed it too. My sons and I were looking at tight end stats today, just randomly. I was shocked overall at those stats. For example, I Had no idea that Kittle had such a great year. Also had no idea that Kincaid had so few catches (44), or that kelce had so many catches. -

amazingly, though he had 97 catches in the regular season!! And in a so-called down year. -
what about head over heels? That is the best tears for fears song!!

I wouldn’t say “doesn’t respect” him. But I think Reid is a jerk and is looking to stick it to people. I have noticed this in other games. He will showcase certain players against their former teams. I guess to each his own. But he strikes me as a pompous jerk, who thinks he is smarter than everyone else, and looks for ways to rub that in.

agree. I have a soft spot for that guy. Seems like it was just a train wreck in NY. -
For real. I can feel it.

I actually have a soft spot for this song, as it was on a 1985 Billboard CD I used to listen to. Plus, my college marching band would play a cheese ball version of it, which was both funny and ultimately catchy.
