    I suspect I am going to be clamoring for Shand and Solomon to be our starting DEs this year, and to no avail!

    I am actually rooting for Elam. I actually think this wasn’t the right situation for him, and I am not sure the coaches here properly developed him like they should have.

    interestingly enough, when I met Malcolm Jamal Warner, he was with the actress who played Urkel’s girlfriend on Family Matters. They were dating at the time. I can’t recall her name, but she passed away from cancer at a very young age.

    Really sad. This guy was my childhood hero! I remember writing him fan mail as a 4th grader. I actually met him once when I was 16, and he took a photo with me. Was very gracious.

    Second grade: “Never Eat Shredded Wheat” for North, East, South, West. I use it every time I am getting onto a highway! Also, my 9th grade social studies teacher used to say: “excuses are the nails that build the house of failure.” Thats the only thing I remember from that class, and I still say that all the time!

    Is it just me, but I kinda miss that Season 2 “let’s throw a wild lateral in a playoff game Josh Allen” look!?

    interesting take re Hawes. But I will say that our third TEs though never have gotten chances to really do anything. I always thought Q Morris was a stud, but never got enough game action. And everyone was high on Davidson, but he also never played.

    I doubt anyone here hates on him all that much. Injuries did him in here, unfortunately. Not his fault.

    the “be ready for the start of camp next week” seems odd. I don’t quite understand why you do this move if it just sidelines a player for a few days.

    This is a big argument in my house. I am firmly Care-a-Mel. My wife is Car-Mel. I believe I have all my kids with me, but it’s a daily battle.

    I hope he is okay. But I feel that fireworks accidents seem to hit the NFL more than any other sports leagues. Wonder why?

    I actually think he got better after he left. He was way too grabby with us, a very shy tackler, and injury prone. I think he cleaned a lot of that up after he left (though I still have my suspicions that he isn’t a great teammate).

    agreed. The Bills are pretty naive if they thought that the Araiza and Hairston situations wouldn’t mature into lawsuits and PR issues. Neither guy was a “must have” player too.

    I just read the complaint linked in the article in the OP. the gist is he suddenly came into her room uninvited and said he was “high as F,” and then raped her. That is obviously egregious, If true. The common SA cases on college campuses seem to involve both parties being intoxicated and disagreements over consent. That’s not how this one is being framed.

    When we drafted him, I saw some stuff on the internet about this. If you look at Reddit, there are some screen shots from the accuser’s tik toks talking about it. Looks like it happened in march 2021, and the accuser reported it immediately to the police. But I guess nothing came of it at that time or ever.

    I just read an article recently about how at peace Waller was with retirement. i would be willing to bet he doesn’t make it out of camp.
