  1. Agree. It was bad. But it seems like an outlier. Bills are usually pretty good at saving their TOs.
  2. The chiefs definitely have a “type” at wide receiver. Short speed bugs that can play inside and out: Tyreek, Hardeman, Worthy, Brown, Rice, Thornton. They are the same build and style. (The one outlier is JuJu). Their RBs are even sort of similar, like that rookie they have now (Smith). I give credit to the chiefs, as they know how to use these guys. Most of these receivers would be pretty average on other teams.
  3. I have wondered whether teams might change up how they kick. What would happen if the placekick was placed an extra 3 yards back? Or if kickers on short FGs used no steps to wind up? I also still don’t get why the NFL doesn’t allow for the whacky college punt formations.
  4. this GB defense is killing me in another league! I have lost two nail biters already this year; I can’t take another! One of those years where I am leading the league in points, but am like 0-3 still.
  5. Ugh. I have a .2 point lead in fantasy!! Love vs Jacobs left. This is so stressful!!
  6. I am playing this guy in fantasy and I have Love and he has Jacobs. It has been back and forth all night. I have a 2-point lead now. i can’t have love throw a pick or fumble, or I will lose!
  7. no doubt. Extremely stupid penalty. BTW, Elam burned on that TD.
  8. This ref crew calls everything. Like 20 penalties.
  9. Good point. It might be hard to fashion the rule. the cleanest way to do it is “you basically have to be upright” in blocking a punt— like in basketball defending position. Arms straight up. it would kill blocked punts, but so what? Right now, on blocked punt attempts, it seems like odds are better that the team gets a penalty than a blocked punt.
  10. For those complaining about the D, take a look at the drive summaries. Outside of that first TD drive (which was terrible), the D actually held its own. They gave up a long 11-play 65-yard TD drive in the 3rd quarter, but that was basically a bunch of 4 and 5-yard plays by the saints. That’s the sort of drive the Bills D usually will take, and hope the opponent makes a mistake. Otherwise, they pretty much got off the field. The FGs given up were long and due to terrible field position. They can be better in many ways. But it wasn’t terrible.
  11. If the NFL were concerned about player safety, they might consider banning diving towards the punter like that. those roughing plays on punters are just a recipe for a leg injury. As a fan, I don’t want to see it. I don’t want my punter being taken out, and I don’t want my rush team risking a bad penalty by going for the rare block.
  12. as soon we see that, then the concern is “peaked too early.”
  13. Agree, though I think that 4th Shakir play is great. Just can’t run it 4th and short when everyone is up at the LOS.
  14. well, now that we paid Him, they are working him— getting their money’s worth!
  15. yeah, today for some reason I thought guys were slipping a lot. Off the top of my head, I remember both Palmer and Samuel slipping on routes, bishop slipping in coverage, the saints TE awkwardly slipping out of bounds, and even the Tre 4th down tackle on Kamara seemed To be kamara slipping. just seemed really unusual for such a nice day.
  16. are you serious? That’s wild!
  17. BTW, it seems like our field at Highmark is terrible. guys are always slipping. Today it seemed really bad. Did anyone else notice this?
  18. exactly. I honestly think our D would be more effective with shaq and Dorian out there. Two guys running downhill and blowing people up.
  19. Our D lacks physicality. We need more thumpers out there.
  20. I don’t get why this staff is playing so much man coverage with Tre out there. Not exactly his forte at this stage in his career.
  21. Awesome accomplishment! But I can’t help but remember the rumors on here of people seeing George Seifert at the Buffalo airport! We were so excited! (I think that was the year they hired Greggo).
  22. I think we all noticed this in real time. the encouraging thing is it is entirely correctable.
  23. This ravens team is mentally weak. Harbaugh wonders why his team blows leads and chokes in the playoffs? It’s the same reason Lamar came out in the 3rd quarter.
