I wore my Allen jersey, exactly like last week. At halftime, I took it off, because of how poorly we had been playing. Obviously a stupid mistake. Josh knew I lost faith in him and the team, and they lost because of it.

why do you think this is “FO neglect?” I think it is an intentional decision. I think they think this is the offense that is going to win in the playoffs. Ball control, physical, some timely Josh plays.

i thought our D was good most of the day. They got gassed late and gave up those big runs. Bigger issue was the O.

same here! I think those drought years are my football formative years (my 20s and 30s). I remember guys like Keith Ellison vividly too!

in the past, we had the players and the style on O where if we were inconsistent, we could cover over it with some big splash plays. Not anymore. We have to execute all the little stuff at a high level with the style of offense they now want to play.

Thinking about this more, the roster has sort of been built because of how defenses have been playing us for several years— stop all big plays. We are now built to pound the rock and win with ball control and defense. It’s actually a winning formula, but it depends on a high level of execution and patience. We can’t commit penalties, be behind the sticks, and commit turnovers. We have to be patient and innovative with the run game and using the RBs and TE’s in the passing game. Today, it was a mess because of the sloppy execution and game script.

Bernard is possibly their worst defensive player. I am hoping it’s because he is playing through some injuries.

This team wins and loses together. Really need all three phases to click in order to play winning football.

Sort of a jeckyl and Hyde kind of team we have this year. Never know who is going to show up and who will lay an egg. All phases need to be on for us to win, and we have to always be “on schedule” on O. Tough to win that way.

Could you theoretically challenge that waddle actually touched Hairston and so he was down before the illegal block? Or would the illegal block still stand?

I would prefer just a pitch to cook, and see what happens. Better odds than what we scheme up usually.

Kind of bad luck there. Didn’t think Shakir saw Fitzpatrick, otherwise could have dove a little harder there.

honestly, that is also on Josh. The timing and air under those back shoulders always seem way off.

it’s not you. The media narrative about these players around the trade deadline seems to overinflate everyone’s value. imagine if a team traded a 1st for waddle before the season began. We all would be laughing about it.

I have a feeling the jets would have dealt Williams to us, but I doubt we were offering what the cowboys gave them. I think the dolphins weren’t going to trade with us at all.
