  1. Mark, I’m with you in that just like the Jets line problems may be overblown, so may be some of our troubles. I saw all of the troubles Saturday and yes it was concerning, but this board acts like we were 3-13, vs. 13-3. We didn’t fall off a cliff. We’re sloppy right now, but we’ve cleaned up our act each TC the last few years. The roster to me is better outside of Edmunds. I never agreed with the hate for him, yet I never agreed with the national media going on and on about him making the popularity contest called the pro bowl. He was a talented player with skills and limitations. If we remain healthy, our secondary will be one of the best in the league, a 1st team all pro in Milano, and when it matters our D Line with the addition of Floyd and fingers crossed Von maybe back on a pitch count can be the difference. I cautiously high hopes for Harty, Sherfield, and our regulars and DK2 with our new 12 personnel package.
  2. Possibly, but players who are STers didn’t make a lot of $ back in the 80-90’s. Granted CBS was probably a good gig for 20 years, but he probably wants to have that sunset career to wrap into a ful retirement, and they only are on air for 2 and in season 3 hrs one day a week. I’m sure they do some preproduction stuff, but I don’t see tons of prep before their daily shows. My point was simply you’re not going to air a bunch of criticisms about you’re team when in essence your eemplyed by the owners. You get more fair balance from the morning and extra point shows. I refuse to listen to the shirt show that’s in at 3-7pm. I’d much rather listen when in the car to Movin the Chains on NFLR. I don’t want to mislead in that I know what I get with Tasker and Brown. I listen when time, but I make no mistake they are a biased pro Bills show. I have adequate expectations.
  3. Kf some of you guys are expecting objective reporting with a critical eye from employees of the Pegulas, you might want to rethink you’re POV. Herss a question. If you work for. Fortune 500 company, are you outwardly critical of your employer and their leadership decisions. That’s a quick drive to “You’re fired”! Well find someone else says the employer. The guy is probably 60 and needs to work. I expect the advertisement when I listen to OBL.
  4. The thing with Hamlin is he’s a nice 4th slot for depth at safety. He was a 7th RD pick, solid guy, but he’s been immortalized with the near death experience. inthink it’s great how he recovered, how he’s used this as a platform for change, and good for him. on the football side he’s a 4th slot with the Rapp signing. That doesn’t mean he’s not a great guy, nor did he accomplish the 4th slot on his merit. He’s just not Poyer or Hyde. Rapp is close, but Hamlin is a typical 4th spot safety.
  5. It’s not just ESPN. I’ve about had it with the Jets love fest. It overwhelms NFLR daily. Between the callers and the analysts just not shutting up about that team, it just fuels me even more to please Bills destroy them in week 1.
  6. That’s a sound point. I keep going back to Carolina. That teams needs help and a pressure valve release for the rookie QB. Im sure they want some kind of win this year so they are at least competitive and it is a cross conference trade. Indy would want that more than the Fish.
  7. Not exactly the best for the Bills, but it’s logical.
  8. Yep, 3/12. I see his value, but I’m pragmatic. I can see the Fish moving on it especially as they have still some questions on Tua. His concussions has to be a cause for concern. Having a stud RB takes some pressure off Tua.
  9. For those stating to sign him, that’s not happening. We don’t have the $, we’re a passing team, think we have an efficient staff to maybe make a step forward in the running game, etc.. Give away a draft pick or more, pay him $10 mil, and he’s coming off an injury. Yeah, no. Hes a special player and those with weak QB’s and cash would be logical. If you look at NFL cap space balanced with teams who don’t have star RB’s and help to their QB, I can see Carolina pulling the trigger, or maybe even Jax as they have space and a solid QB. Jax may want to go on a run, but the Colts would have to trade in division. It brings me back to Car.
  10. You’re skills are you’re value so you leave after the Junior year as yes, if you’re in a top college so you can make marketing $ in college, but if you’re severely injured you’re out. You sign a rookie deal and you’re guaranteed a four year guaranteed contract or at least an injury settlement. if you’re a middling QB and one more year and you can possibly gain more experience you stay the 4th year. For RB’s you get out asap as they look at touches and your stock falls. My point is it depends where you believe you’ll be picked, what’s your position and what can you do to maximize your potential. It’s not your lifelong career, but on avg. 4 year so of you’re life and maybe more if you are 100% focused.
  11. Chans, Im not initiating the either or thing. It just seems he hasn’t done enough to impress these coaches. My point is he’s not a lock and maybe a bubble guy.
  12. Chans, it why was he supplanted? What has he done that we don’t know about? What about Milano who was a 5th RD pick who didn’t play much his rookie year, but when he played was solid. What about Benford as a 6th who flashed as a rookie? Im not busting on you. I’m saying there is a reason they didn’t use him. Evidently he didn’t show enough when in practice and where he was played in games to take on a larger role later in the year. if he makes it and helps the team, great. Seriously. I just think they didn’t randomly decide to not play him. He didn’t impress the people that matter. His coaches.
  13. For a guy who has given every benefit of the doubt to Brown, an 80% 40 yr old Leters might be better. I seriously doubt any consideration, and he probably would never last a full season.
  14. People are overreacting to Dawkins. He seems to come in overweight and look like crap in the PS. He’ll come around. I’ve been a Brown apologist for good reasons on his lack of off seasons and training camp minis, etc, but he has no excuses if he comes out against the Jets like his last performance. There’s no doubt Beane will be working the waiver wire if Brown doesn’t look markedly better in this last week’s PS game. Doyle will be gone after an injury settlement, but Brown is on paper thin ice.
  15. Thanks Pete for the video. He looks like the real deal to me, but again it’s PS. We’ll see when the real games happen.
  16. Guys, Andy Reid, and others like Sean McVeigh have been OC and HC. McD is also not a new HC. It’s his 7th year and he has very experienced assistant coaches on this roster. Im not buying a guy who has been a DC for a very long time. He also has a balanced veteran and young team. They can recover from this embarrassing loss albeit a meaningless one as PS doesn’t count.
  17. Em, if you were around for Club Marv, you’ll remember we typically would go 1-3 to 0-4 in the preseason, and then have double digit wins during the season. I don’t think it’s as bad of a camp as has been stated all day, but they still have a lot to work on in the next couple of weeks. One bad meaningless game doesn’t equate to now a horrible season. I might also remind some that during the never ending drought years of 17, we would go 7-9 to 9-7 and have a repeat 3-1 preseason. Im not crying the sky is falling yet. We won’t learn anything this upcoming game as we are trying to lock down the 43-69 spots of you include PS.
  18. Exactly. If he has that much promise the easiest question to ask when guys were getting injured is why not increase his snaps, yet they bring in two over the hill guys like Beasley and Brown. Brown was 32, had two targets for 42 yards. 3 games, but they don’t increase Shakir’s attempts. Why did they allow Davis to keep playing on a bad ankle as it was obvious there was a problem. Because they don’t trust him. Pretty simple. Just follow their actions. I don’t dislike the guy, but I’m not enamored with him either. These other guys are looking good so far. We’ll see. I just don’t think Shakir makes the 53.
  19. Exactly Sammy. Some on this board get enamored with camp guys and think the world, but he’s just a 5th RD pick which is never a lock. 5th is a thumbs up and down kind of guy. If he makes it fine, but if not I’m not losing sleep over it.
  20. I don’t see this as an either or. Shorter was going to be a STer and maybe developed as a red zone guy, but they’ve also picked up and working a couple of other guys bigger so it’s undefined. We have a pool of three at least longer guys. One of them would compliment the speed of Harty and Isabella. Sherfield also has some lengthy and proven in the NFL has sure hands in Miami. A balanced roster makes sense to me. I’m just not married to Shakir. I believe in giving everyone a fair shot and proof of that is at CB 2-4. Benford was a 6th and Dane was a 7th. Oth have payed better in zone than Elam, yet Elam has amazing physical gifts. Once you’re in camp, who cares about draft status? Just can they play. One of the best WR’s on the leagueaa was a a 5th. You might know him called Diggs. We also have this little known Boston College guy that was a 1st team all pro at Wil LB in Milano. Remember the guy so many on this board doesn’t deserve an extension two years ago. I remember vividly. It was a joke. So we’ve had late picks deliver and higher picks not. It’s a crap shoot with you hope a 60% hit rate. Polian has said more times than I can count on NFLR his hit rate was 58%. Considering he wears a gold jacket at parties, I’ll listen to him. Btw- he absolutely loves Milano.
  21. Thanks Lime as always. Since I don’t live up there, I’ll probably catch up with the first 45 min. To see the starters.
  22. It would be cool if Barkley like Jeff Hostetter could do it like us in 25. It sickens me we couldn’t beat the Giants with a backup QB.
  23. The nightmares! Make them stop!! My god, good man. I won’t sleep for weeks with that image. It was hard enough watching him here in Tampa.
  24. Pretty soon he’s going to be driving this… God, I hated that show or should I say the reruns on ch.29 as a kid. His wife’s poor uterus. That probably just fall out by now.
