  1. The guy I’m interested seeing in camp is Antonio Williams. He had only 1 run in 2020, but looked impressive. I hope it is really an open competition. Camp can come soon enough.
  2. You know it’s grave robber time when these threads come back up in July each year. The article Hap brings up doesn’t even reference Breida. MJD was a solid RB, but always has strong opinions. I’m not crazy about him, but he is making an obvious point. Our running game needs to improve, but as several have stated it’s more about the line than the backs. Our backs are average. I’m hopeful Breida will be used well. He had relative success in 18 and 19 in SF.
  3. Shredder, Dumb question I know. One of my two sons can do it for me, but they don’t have to get DTV right. Just I pay the $99, use their college email, and I can stream on the iPad as well as them. They would love too, not just for the Bills, but one of my sons likes another team besides the Bills and Bucs. Please confirm my friend. I’ve been since not living in a DTV area for awhile have sucked it up and watched ina bar. I don’t like it as would rather just watch at home. I knew I always liked you motorin. Appreciate it bud. $99 is nothing for the season. Heck I pay that in two to three weeks in a bar.
  4. We’ll, of course GB had to say tea. Luv ya GB. Pip pip.
  5. Bill, I was wondering the same. I know about the college kid option, which I might do as I have two some in college. I have no idea how you would get the Sunday ticket on an iPad without DTV. Victory, bud the guys are right. You asked for help. They’ve offered a number of good ideas, but have asked for you’re location so they can give you advice. It’s only polite to let them know. You know I like you and many of you’re takes, but if you’re going to start a thread, let them help you by telling you’re home area. Mine is in Tampa.
  6. BB is an excellent coach, but you’re not going anywhere without a QB, and BB’s antics aren’t so tolerable when you’re not winning, and you don’t have a top flight QB. Cam is washed up and AL QB’s historically have not panned out in the NFL. It’s funny their other skill players are the best in the NCAA let SEC, but QB, not so much. Jones even if he works out will need a lot of time to develop. BB did the best he could by bolstering and relying on short TE and tall WR passes and a running game. That only allows you to beat average teams. I seriously doubt the Pats will have anything more than a 9-8 season which is perfect. Picking low enough in the draft to not get a superstar and missing another playoff run. It is not a good sign when you’re 1st round WR from last year wants out.
  7. He really can’t as there is no $150k just because I want to. It was only medically verified $350k reasons that would be certified by the league docs. He can retire and I’m not going into as you state the political stuff. He boasted how healthy he is and that is his defense in his own words. whatever he wants to do is fine, but now he has to act how he talked in the last two months. Give up millions or obey the rules you’re own PA and employer agreed. I’ll respect his decision either way. Just can’t have you’re cake and eat it too as our grandmas said.
  8. Without Brady, not as much I’ll take less just to be on the winning team. We’ll see.
  9. Don’t forget I thought M. Williams, James Hardy (RIP), and Maybin we’re going to be AWESOME! Ah, to be young. 🤪🤩🏋️‍♂️🦬
  10. Todd, are you going to change Greg’s name to Gred? Just askin.
  11. The game is 11/7 so probably in the 80’s and at 1pm so not a lot of shade. If you get the more expensive seats meaning the upper part of the lower deck, the upper deck shades you. I’ve been to several games, usually when the Bills are there, but cant remember the replay videos. If you call Ticketmaster, they might know. It’s right on the river so there should be a slight breeze. A nice hotel to stay at which is in walking distance of the stadium is the Crown Plaza. They have a Ruth’s Chris in the hotel. When you walk across the bridge from the Crosn, there is that area of bars and restaurants so you don’t have to be driving everywhere. I used to manage that area so when I worked with my Jax rep, I always stayed at the Crown.
  12. Vontae, As you’re new at least in posting, you might want to hang back, read the posters and just reply for awhile, as thus was a rookie mistake. Not a big deal, but others who were new made the same mistakes. You certainly won’t be the last.
  13. I guess it depends on you’re expectations of what you think a person at the end of the first and second round would be in the NFL. I’m expecting they grow into significant contributors in the NFL, but every draft is a calculated gamble. Beane has provided for a great deal of competition at this position, and I didn’t see that many other defensive linemen picked after our pics I expect will be incredible in the NFL. I was hoping for at least a couple of high impact contributors, but the chances were better at other positions. Like every year it’s a wait and see.
  14. That’s funny. Everyone thinks oranges are our leading export in FL, but it’s historically been cattle. We have Brisket in FL, but seafood is the popular thing in most areas. Texas brisket is awesome though as well as ribs just like in Memphis, and KC. Happy he’s starting a side venture. Smart move on his part if he can make it work.
  15. I don’t think you’ll have a problem. It’s not Philly or a division opponent. Just some ribbing and I’m sure you’ll laugh it off. I managed that area, and people for the most part are pretty cool. Their college games is where they go a little nuts like other SE college teams. The NFL is far down the list from an Alabama, TN, MS, FL type game. They are a little nuts on those areas. Even after a SB, there are great Bucs fans, but they are a little insane still over UF, FSU, and Miami. Have a great time and enjoy the ribs and music. You might even see a CW singer as they are around from time to time.
  16. Simms has a knack for the outstanding click bait takes. I don’t agree with him here, but appreciate his positive slant on Allen. I have no idea what to think of our first two picks as they haven’t played a down in the NFL. It’s most likely Basham gets on the field this year, and probably plays well for a rookie. Rousseau will most likely be a package guy with the lack of experience. He also needs to grow into his body. I trust Beane as he’s been right a lot more than wrong. This is really another summer slump month trying to continue to drum up NFL takes when it’s dead.
  17. That’s true bud. We did sit on some leads, but probably not enough. We have to prove we can run more effectively when we are up by 14-17 pts., and as you stated, give the WR a break. It was so disappointing just about every WR was injured in the KC game. I’m very hopeful with this schedule (not that it means that much as so much changes year to year) we can get the #1 seed to get an extra week off. Until we replicate the running part of 2019, we’re going to run with our WR’s.
  18. Chand, who crapped in you’re cornflakes? Just kidding old friend. The boys are bored. I’ll play. We defeated 6 of the top 10 defenses last year. LAR, PITT, SF, Balt, Indy, and LAC. We have 17 games, not 16, an upgrade in Sanders, retained the key players, and improved to a degree our defensive players. We only lost to three teams. The Cards was a fluke as we had them until the Hail Mary. The Titans was a screwy loss given key injuries. We don’t have an answer yet for the Chiefs. This year we have the AFCS, NFCS, the Chiefs and Steelers. That is a better schedule for us. Still some tough opponents, but was harder last year. Bottom line is we can surpass 29.5 pts./game.
  19. I must be in the few camp, but I loved battleship. Maybe I’ll even have a chicken burrito and talk of the terms of you’re surrender.
  20. NO is known for playing with the cap aggressively and Loomis takes risks. I wonder what is really in the deal meaning when they can get out, how they can extend, rework etc. These days I never take these contracts at face value. He may never see all of it. Teams like this though usually pay the price at some point. You can only kick the can so far. They are counting on the new contracts so paying ahead. That makes sense when they had Brees and a window. Not so much with Winston and Hill.
  21. Enjoy the day guys and gals with family and friends. For all our faults, we live in the best country in the history of the world!
  22. There’s no comparison between Allen and Tua, but I will give Tua slack in he could (and that’s could not will) develop into an average or competent QB. He’ll get anywhere near in the ballpark of Super Allen, but then Allen played with crap in WRs in 18, and improved in 19, and went into the stratosphere in 20. I’ve never seen anyone else improve that much that fast. It’s possible not probable Tua could be a 16-20 ranked QB in three years. What would concern me is Tua has another meh year, and Miami goes all in on Watson.
  23. I’m a little surprised minus the juvenile jokes why anyone cares who Bruce mentioned. When you were young, you most likely played some sport with a person who was gay and just wasn’t ready to come out. It’s not a big deal, and some people keep that piece of their life private just as some guys who eventually become an alcoholic, and quit with help make a decision whether they want that part of their life pen or closed. I have a person in my family who I’m one of the few are aware of his problem, and it’s not for me to share with others. My point is simply it’s their life, and no one has a right to know it. If this player wants to open up, fine. If not who cares. I thought it was great how Bruce shed some light on the matter while protecting that part of his teammates life.
  24. I can’t stand any form of reality tv especially because it’s not realistic. I’ve seen a couple of glimpses of Hard Knocks, but it’s not for me.
  25. It would end up the most logical scenario, it’s built right on the largest parking lot next to the current stadium. They already have the land, the infrastructure getting 75,000+ people in and out of there is already built up over 50 years, wouldn’t disrupt the games as they would simply tear down Highmark after construction of the new semi open one is done. That’s what Tampa did with the Sombrero to Ray Jay Stadium. It was relatively seamless. Back in the 90’s down here there was the same debate to have closer to downtown, but in the end it was the most cost effective how they ended up completing plans. Having a semi covered stadium also fits a lot of the needs and desires. Seattle’s stadium was built to cut down all of the rain there and enhance crowd noise. The owner (Allen) was the richest owner in the league at that time, and made sure the stadium itself would enhance the crowd noise. With OP, the semi covered nature would be more economical, the winds would be cut down, they probably would install massive heaters for November-January to maintain attendance, and given the public/private partnership would keep down taxes, PSL’s, and the eventual significant increases in seats and amenities. Today, Buffalo has one of the lower end cost of seats in the league. It’s going to go up. Im guessing there is no way the NFL is going to let the current stadium just simply allow for upgrades. Besides, it would just be so expensive to retrofit the current stadium, that it just wouldn’t be worth it.
