Throwback Saturday -our 1st Super Bowl season.
machine gun kelly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you mean Packers for Lofton, but agree with you’re point on Sanders. When Chandler placed ascending, it reminded me of 1988, not 1990. I say that as we made it to the Championship game. Unfortunately, we backslid in the bickering Bills year, 1989, but galvanized the team in 1990. Lofton was definitely the missing piece for that team. -
2021 record prediction?

I’m glad. You’re on of the many good guys on the board. 12-5 is safe. I’m a little lofty in the 13-14 win realm, but so many variables. What of god forbid Diggs or even Allen were out for five games. I hate even thinking about it, but then again SF probably thought they would repeat a SB appearance last year and loom what happened to them. Happy Sunday brother. I’m off to church in a couple of hours to pay for my many sins. -
2021 record prediction?

Doc, I hope you know I really was kidding with you. I think you know I’m not snarky or mean spirited. My point was simply it’s going to happen just like 18 is coming with the next cba. Im not editorializing whether 17 or 18 is a good idea. I know many don’t like the additional games. -

Doc, do you also not include the extra two games from 1978 on when we went to 16 games or 1961 when the NFL went to 14 from 12. 😂🤩🦬🏋️♂️ Im just kidding bud as I am the great Carnac and in seven years you’ll make predictions based on 17 games and we’ll start 18 games. My point is not to be snarky, just it’s going to change and inevitable. Some love it, and some hate it. Bottom line is the league wants to increase revenue so we are Going to 18 games by the next CBA. We’ll probably drop to 1-2 pre season games and a bunch of other accommodations. Ill put you down for 14-3 as we should beat the WTF team (17th). -
Of the two Parcells was the genius. BB is an excellent coach, and that shouldn’t be in question. Think what Parcells did. He won two SB’s with the Giants and the second one with his backup QB. He turned the Pats around from the lagging stock of the league to a winning team and on his fourth year the SB. Then he turned the Jets around as well as a joke to the championship game. He also turned the Cowgirls around as well. A lot of people don’t like him as he was prickly to the media, but it was calculated to use the media as a tool. BB is doing his best minus Brady by drafting a meh QB, getting tall TE’s and solid RB’s. This probably get him a slightly winning record beating mediocre teams say 9-8. They aren’t a playoff team. It couldn’t be better from our perspective. Win just enough to not have a high draft spot, lose enough to not make the playoffs.

You go dark Spidey. I like where you’re head is at, and agree with one exception. Either Indy or TN we have a hiccup and lose one of them so 14-3. I do think it’s plausible we lose during the season to KC, but then beat them in the playoffs. My reasoning is our two draft picks on DE, and Epenesa get enough experience throughout the year, they put it together and really make it rain by the playoffs (at least that’s my hope). -
That’s because he’s a good coach. It was his call post USC to pick Russell Wilson over the trade from GB for what’s his name at this point. Wilson was a 3rd round pick who everyone thought was too short and has been one of the best QB’s in the last decade. They made two SB’s, destroyed the Broncos, and was one play from a repeat. Marv coached into an advanced age. BB and Carroll will probably coach for another few years. You know BB is going to try and beat Halas and Shula’s records.

CAK, I know the bro episode with George’s dad. I guess I’ll cut you some slack. Kidding bud. I could tell you didn’t watch the clip and honestly I almost forgot about it. I knew they had some glove reference from the OJ trial, but wasn’t sure myself either. All good bud, and you’ve been a really nice addition to this board, not that you need my affirmations. -
Brady is not going to be the one punished. That’s not in question. Only if he disclosed would the coach and team be punished, not the player. The player is not obligated to disclose as he can easily say he’s fine or an excuse Like a little arthritis in the knee. They can’t subpoena his medical records regarding Hippa if done by a private HCP. the only thing in question is if he disclosed and then the team is responsible, not him.

You know that anyone not a lock starter is already vacc. They aren’t stupid and know whether advertised or not will cut depth guys. Only the 22 are really going to make that choice. I agree Allen probably just did it by now, but doesn’t want to publicly come out against Beasely or anyone else. I think that is smart in threading the needle between players, the team, and the public.

Fargin Bastages Im going to get that icehole. (Young guys, find Johnny Dangerously if you want a good laugh) They talked about this on NFLR and if Brady never told the trainers, but just wore the brace, there is nothing to fine. If he did tell the trainers, and they treated him, then the fine would apply. It’s that simple. The fine though would be to the Bucs, not to Brady. Think about it, if Brady didn’t tell anyone his knee bothered him (players do that all the time to protect their position), then how are the Bucs supposed to know. The guy is 43 so seeing him in a brace is not shocking.

DT Nazair Jones released

You guys have been binge watching Oliver Stone conspiracy theory movies. They worked him out, he didn’t meet expectations, whether it was his play, attitude or whatever and he’s gone. There’s going to be another 30+ gone in August. -
There in you’re pill box Dad. Don’t get confused with the two S’s. It’s Saturday. 😂😇🦬 All kidding aside Chandster, I felt the same. I think when i was young I took for granted we had Jim Kelly. I naively thought we’d Be a contender for years and then it ended. This time I know what we have and how special Allen is for our team. Like Russell Wilson in Seattle, he cleans up deficiencies we have in other areas. As long as Allen is healthy, we are going to be a serious contender for a long long time. I was thinking hypothetically if Allen were to do a Mahomes deal meaning 10 years, he’d still only be 35. With these new rules about not hitting the QB, he could literally hit another contract after 10 years which means we could have him for 14 Years. Daboll no more chances on running Alllen too much. I swear my heart is in my throat every time he takes off. Last thing, PT, thanks for sharing.

And of his football gloves don’t fit, you must Acquit, or the bra. Shady is definitely not Penske material… anymore. -

Because he’s a 12 year vet going into a 13th yr. making more than $1.1 mil. If we sign him prior to opening day and has done nothing for two years in Tampa and KC. That’s a colossal waste of $ when we have Breida who could actually do something for us. Every old washed up guy is not worth even bothering just like Walker, the TE. They are done. Desperate losing teams make these decisions, not one that has one of the best rosters in the NFL. -
Outside of the obvious firings below McD as there are always at least 5-6 firings every year, BB and Carroll will retire eventually. They are both approx. the same at 69. Maybe 3-4 more years. They both have huge egos, but that’s redundant for every NFL and D1 HC. I can see both of the above moving into only the front office. I don’t see either in the media. Zimmer is still on the proverbial hot seat above McD, but they have acquired assets so maybe he makes the playoffs again.
