  1. This may be a good time to remind everyone that if your speaker setup includes a center channel, you can mute it and silence the announcers while keeping the sounds of the game intact. It's not a perfect solution, and you may need to turn down the bass also, but it does work.
  2. was really impressed with montgomery's rushing tonight
  3. Michael Schwartz @MSchwartzTV 10m I just got off the phone with Mike Williams’ agent. He tells me the former NFL wide receiver HAS NOT passed away. Williams was involved in a “construction accident,” and is in a Tampa-area hospital, according to his agent.
  4. This was just released 8 mins ago and says he is on life support as of this afternoon https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/former-riverside-and-nfl-receiver-mike-williams-reportedly-on-life-support/article_68c20e64-4c62-11ee-b620-c32ab75bc3ca.html
  5. Carted off the practice field today in Denver https://www.9news.com/article/sports/nfl/denver-broncos/broncos-jerry-jeudy-practice/73-6b7ac3ae-bca9-45b4-b96a-78d6c2b34d5b
  6. I'd get it if Kenny was the superfan
  7. This is how I was first introduced to RJ. RIP old friend.
  8. I owe my IT career to the familiarity and experience I gained working with the C64!
  9. He knew how to hit you where it really hurt - by erasing your high scores Me too but gotta find one that has a good rapid-fire setting. We used to think it was the button itself, but there are configurable settings in the machine that can be set so no matter how fast you press the button it will fire slowly. Those Galaga games SUCK
  10. playoffs? don't talk to me about playoffs. you kiddin me? playoffs?
  11. Even if it was an appearance similar to today, if she were to show up at a game... I don't think communication would be any problem in that moment!
  12. I caught the tail end of it, but the 70s are always going to be my favorite. The music was fantastic; bands like Pink Floyd, The Who, and Led Zeppelin were in their primes... even the themes to TV shows were amazing. This was also the decade that consumer electronics really took off. As a kid there was nothing more fun to me than electronic games - we fought over handheld Coleco soccer and Mattel football, and when the first kids started getting Ataris they had half the neighborhood in their living room. Throw in memories of my dad rocking those big Elvis sideburns, and the 70s is an easy pick for me
  13. As someone who has visited Yellowstone over a dozen times, and has watched countless bored-out-of-their-minds children throwing objects into the delicate natural hot springs, I wholeheartedly agree. I'll add a bit of knowledge that I only recently came to understand: Everyone knows (or should know) that we have the right to remain silent when questioned by police. But what not everyone knows is that you have to INVOKE your 5th amendment right by expressing this is what you are doing. If you don't, your silence CAN be used against you in court.
  14. I ate enough crow watching jack hoist the cup thank you very much
  15. LOL this reminds me of the "International Sex Games" segment of the old 70s "Groove Tube" film. "the sweep.. the curl.. and a lovely probe" Yeah you won't find this one on Youtube..
  16. Me too. Always reminded me of Herschel Krustofsky's Clown Related Entertainment Show.
  17. It helps being 2 time zones back, but yeah I saw every minute and thought for sure we were going to a 5th OT. I have absolutely zero compassion for the Canes fans who lost 'twice' (the first FLA goal in OT1 was overturned).
  18. It has a story all its own, and how it was incorporated into the script exemplifies just how many levels deep this show can get:
  19. Men only care what else is on tv This guy... this is not my kind of guy
  20. I can't go a day without hearing Seinfeld references in my head. Dentist appointment, renting a car, parking a car, getting Chinese food, getting low pressure in the shower, writing with a pen, eating soup, figuring out a tip, putting the tip in the tip jar, watching the Devils in playoff hockey, yada yada the list just goes on and on it's really quite remarkable how insane this show has made me. Serenity now.
  21. It helps to go there. All the history puts things in perspective. Westminster Abbey to be particular. Kings that Shakespeare wrote about are laying right there in front of you. In 2066 we'll celebrate 1000 years since the one single battle that caused us to be writing a combination of Germanic and French languages right now. It's pretty neat when you think about it
  22. You gotta let them know you're out there, it's the playoffs
