  1. I agree with you except for the Titans. The D gave up points on 6 consecutive drives (4 TDs and 2 FGs) not counting kneel downs. After the first quarter the D didn't force 1 punt. Yes offense still had a chance to win at the end. But how could the defense possibly be worse than giving up points on every possession? Anyway last night, even though they were pushed around, the D held NE out of the end zone in the 2nd half and did enough to win. This year, when 1 side of the ball has a rough game the other side doesn't do quite enough to make up for it. Weird year. Either they win in a blow out or they lose.
  2. I want to beat the Patriots in the playoffs. Preferably in OP. But It would be fun to win in Foxboro too. Bills need to beat them when it counts. If they lose to NE in playoffs will be gut wrenching. Better to have the opportunity, than just to fade away against a lesser opponent.
  3. Doc? Are you sure you’re not Captain Hindsight? Well, if the game already happened I predict Bass goes 4-4 on PATs
  4. 10 - 9 Bills. Folk misses a PAT and misses a 27 yd FG at the horn when the ball hits a wind wall at the goal line. Bass is the hero by going 1-1 on PATs and 1 -3 on FGs
  5. That’s why the #1 seed is such a big deal. If you play in the 1st round you could have 3 tough games, compared to only 2 w the bye. Look at the Ravens for example. I have a hard time seeing them winning 3 games in a row in January. But 2 at home w extra rest. I might bet on them
  6. Having a great time here in Nola. Have enjoyed talking w Saints fans. Had a couple beers w a 45 year old guy who said 90’s Bills were his favorite except for Saints. He talked in depth about everyone from Kent Hull to Carwell Gardner. Also sat w 2 long time bartenders who told me no one travels like Buffalo, except Wisconsin. They said Packers and Badgers might have us beat in crowd size and alcohol consumption. Also said Bills and Packers are good tippers. They don’t like fans from Chicago or Boston. Too obnoxious
  7. Exactly. They talk process all the time. Recent one is “we’re not going ride the roller coaster” Now that they’re not playing well. No one wants to hear it. Fans want see McD, Allen, or one of the vets on D yell and hear about players getting their ass chewed out. Right orb wrong it’s not the mentality of the team.
  8. I agree w your premise. Allen is not the problem. And he might be the toughest guy on a team that is lacking tough guys. But most replacement level QBs would’ve beat Jax with the way our D played. So that’s a trade off on the Chiefs game. Bills D destroyed the Fish, Jets, and Texans. Allen was awesome against WFT
  9. In McD’s postgame presser. He was asked “isnt it extra galling when it’s a COVID 19 issue that affects the anchor of your D-line not to mention your right tackle?” McD answered, “I respect those guys decision, and I’m going to talk about who’s here.” This quote plus and the fact that Star definitely was unvaxed during training camp tells me he’s still unvaxed.
  10. Star tested positive a week ago today. Thursday is the first day he is eligible to be w the team. So it’s unlikely. Has anyone heard if he’s experiencing any symptoms and what treatment he is undergoing for COVID.
  11. Washington game was a nice day
  12. Considering that Star traveled w team to NJ. It will be surprising if Brown is the only player who tests +.
  13. My first thought was CJ Mosely. Assuming a Bills win, I will say Diggs.
  14. I am expecting the Bills to turn it around. But I don't think the comp to mid-November 2020 proves this point. The 2020 Bills only lost 1 game after the Oct 19th week 6 loss to KC, and that was the last second hail mary. In 2020 the team started rolling in November. Nov 1st Beat NE, first for McD over Belichick and for me one the best victories for the Bills in the last 20 years. Nov 8th put up 44 on the Seahawks. At that point last year they were already well on their way to becoming an AFC powerhouse. The Fitz game you site, was 2019. The Bills put up 56 with their backups against the Fish in the home game last year.
  15. Yea #1 seed is more important than ever. Equivalent to a playoff win. Plus home field advantage, plus bye week to rest and heal after a long season
  16. I actually thought about the Josh & Bills comp to Marino era Dolphins the last couple weeks. Marino was a super talented passer, but I believe he’s overrated because he was a poor game manager. QBs like J Kelly and Tom Brady we’re/are great field generals because they understand how to use the run game to their advantage, combined w the skill to execute the passing game at a high level. Also the best QBs are deceptive in run game. Marino was terrible at telegraphing runs, and the Bills O and Josh has also been bad in that regard. Defenses seem like they know when and where the Bills runs are coming and going. With Josh as a 1 man show. Biils O cannot consistently succeed. coaches and Allen need to do a better job helping the run game succeed. Put the RBs and Oline in advantageous position.
  17. I would say the Titans too.
  18. After the Pittsburgh game, i would have agreed to accept a 4 - 2 record at this point, figuring a split on the 2 night games. But once the Bills started destroying the weak teams I expected them to beat KC and the Titans. The Bills are really good team, an uncharacteristically bad defensive game plan cost them yesterday. Good point on the Bills Super bowl teams, that lost some tough road night games. Tenessee's division is really bad and the last 6 games of their schedule are easy. Between Titans, Ravens, Chargers, and Chiefs, at least one of those teams will end the season with only3 or 4 losses. That means the Bills can only lose 1 more more to have a clear shot at #1 seed.
  19. It was a notably off game for Milano. Seemed like he was a step slow in both run and pass D. On Henry's last TD run, Milano got blocked by the off guard even though he had inside position. A play he normally would stop for 3 - 4 yards, went for a 13 yd TD. Both he and Edmunds were getting caught in no man's land on the play action, where they could not get deep enough to disrupt the crossing patterns. That is why I think they should have been more aggressive. If you are not helping in coverage then rush the QB. I don't remember seeing Milano blitz more than 2 or 3 times, it was mostly 4 man pass rush. I do think Tennessee is a difficult match up for the Bills D. But the game plan from Frazier and McD didn't help. Bills and Titans should both win their divisions, so they may get a chance to do better in January.
  20. They scored on 6 consecutive drives. So not sure how you can say the Bills outplayed them. Even, sure, but not outplayed. Don’t understand why the Bills didn’t change up the plan pm D to be more aggressive.
  21. I've never seen the board come to such a consensus agreement. It's unanimous Collinsworth is a biased d-bag.
  22. Do you seriously believe that Ortiz didn't use steroids? Clemens and Bonds don't have officially reported positive tests. Do you think they were clean too? Ortiz was great clutch hitter, but the steroids helped a lot. Just like they helped Clemens and Bonds. And those 2 guys were great players before they started with steroids.
  23. Oweh made a huge game changing play to beat the Chiefs. Forced and recovered a fumble with less than 2 mins in the game. Otherwise, Ravens lose. I did not see the other 2 Ravens games, so not sure how he performed in other games. Rosseau is playing very well. So far, he looks like an excellent pick for the Bills and definitely should be in the conversation of top rookies.
