  1. Both teams are caught using deflated balls. Brady, Arians, Belichick and Mac Jones are all booted from the game. Suspensions follow. Or at least, Patriots lose and Brady gets a concussion. Best of both worlds.
  2. True. We've also had to play an extra game against the NFC. This means 1 less chance to win and AFC game. Which will hurt our tie-breakers as of today.
  3. Any chance this opens the door for Watson? I know it has been written that he wont play for Houston this year. But they have been better than expected, and maybe management wants to win some games. That could take week 4, from almost sure win, to competitive game.
  4. Amazing that the passing record has stood for 60 years. Someone will break that record soon. Why not Josh and the Bills. Looked at the box score for that game, what a but-kicking by the Rams. NY was totally overmatched. They returned a punt and a fumble for TDs and still lost by 40. LA Rams outgained NY Yanks 735 yds - 168 yds overall, and in net passing 541 - 8! https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/195109280ram.htm#all_team_stats
  5. it was a bad offensive game plan. IMO it wasn't the pass vs run ratio that was so bad, it was the formations. Last year they were pass heavy, but mostly out of 11 personnel, 1 RB, 1 TE and 3 WR. I believe around 70% of their plays last year were 11 personnel and just over 15% with 4 or 5 receiver sets. Yesterday they ran more the 50% of their plays with 4 or 5 receivers. The Steelers had a good game plan against those formations and it was evident early on that the Bills O was not creating mismatches. In the end there were very few plays with open receivers down field or even plays where receivers could catch the ball on the run underneath with any space. Not sure why Daboll thought it was good idea to keep utilizing the formations that were clearly giving the edge to the Steelers. The Bills finally adjusted on the 4th QTR drive where Singletary ripped off a couple nice runs, but it was too late.
  6. Yes. During that winning streak when the Bills were beating everyone by 20+. The Defense and Bledsoe played great from mid-season, until the final week flop. Still hard to understand how they missed the playoffs. In 2001 the Bills coach was Greg Williams and they hardly won any games. Very few well executed plays that year.
  7. Stupid for Cowboys not go for it on 4th down. Man, I hate Brady. on the bright side, at least the Cowboys lost.
  8. Very true. From my experience the Bills (Rich / Ralph / Highmark Stadium) are about the worst in the league the last 6 or 7 years. At some point after the stadium renovation, the wait at the gates got terrible. I try to get to 2 road games / year. 3 this year with such a good schedule. So I do have experience in other NFL stadiums.
  9. Very strange that they haven't signed any players from another team, at least to the PS.
  10. I don’t understand the argument. Both guys (Jones & Kumerow) made the 53.
  11. Foles also has an excellent run w Chip Kelly. Had that season w 25+ TDS and I think only 2 or 3 interceptions.
  12. I agree that they’ll keep 9. It’s just that IMO they only have 8 NFL active roster quality lineman. So they should be on the lookout for someone like Dilliard who has upside, I’m thinking a waiver wire player more than trade. Anyway, they’ll probably keep Doyle due to draft status. So let’s hope he develops. Let’s hope this is a moot point. It only becomes a concern if multiple interior lineman or multiple tackles go down. Otherwise they should be fine. But it is interesting from the stand point of who makes the opening day roster.
  13. Coming in to camp, I thought Lamp had a good chance to emerge as one of the top 3 guards with an outside chance to start. Ahead of Ford and Boettger. Similar to tackle, there are only 3 roster worthy players at guard, plus Bates. Now that Lamp is on IR it looks like the Bills have 8 lineman worthy of making an active 53 for an NFL team
  14. It's weird because going into camp, I felt like the Bills had good depth on the O-line. Now, Bobby Hart might be the 4th best tackle on the roster. So any injury to the top 3 is concerning. Although I would hope they play Bates ahead of Bobby Hart. They could be searching the waiver wire after all. Really it would be a shame for Bobby Hart to take a roster spot, considering some quality players that will be cut at other positions. Now with Lamp to IR, Guard depth doesn't look great either.
  15. 1,354 miles. It's a long walk, so I won't make it in time for the season opener. But I'll be there in time to see Josh out duel Fitz and the WFT.
  16. Dunbar missed all of training camp before the Lions cut him. Do you know what’s going on with him? Is he injured?
  17. It’s a a valid point. Maybe a young guy with speed that a team with good DB depth tries to get through to their practice squad. A player w potential to contribute by mid-season if the Bills have injuries. the Bills could use more speed in the secondary
  18. You can see Boettger and Feliciano on the field at the end of the highlight. Good sign that Ike is not quarantined and should be practicing soon
  19. Hollister seems like a direct replacement for Tyler Kroft. Capable but average NFL level TE. And will have trouble getting on the field due to injury. Kroft did have 2 game winning TDs. So if Hollister does the same it won’t be all bad. Sweeney or the UDFA from Bowling Green have a good chance to make the team.
  20. Thanks for the data. I believe that must be counting practice squad. 1,947 players works out to about 61 per team
  21. You totally made up that statistic. Can you name 1 NFL team that had 27 UDFAs on their 53 man roster at any point in the season last year?
  22. Bills could've had him if they Kept their 2nd 5th round pick
