That sig might be appropriate if working for the SPCA or similar org but would not be permitted in companies where I have worked.

Pre Season's Over, Post Your W/L Prediction
Mr Info replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Isn’t that what you just predicted? -
The Reactions at the end of the article are worth the link. “they will sell the cars at a loss but make it up on the extension cords. "But comrade, we said it was electric, not battery powered"”

Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
Mr Info replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I recall the narrator saying something similar to them ‘rising’. That has not happened yet though the bar is very low. Until they win 1 game, that ‘rise’ hasn’t begun. -
Just poured myself a nice cocktail. i called Directv tonight. My contract was due to expire in 2 days. Background: longtime AT&T mobile customer with 5 devices on a 20G family plan & longtime Directv customer. i explained my contract was expiring and wanted to see what was available for discounts. I also said I was a longtime AT&T mobile customer. I did not escalate to loyalty/retention. This is what I got: They are combining me into one bill. AT&T mobile: Unlimited plan for $25 less than my current plan. Directv: $60 discount for 1 year and Sunday Ticket for free. Combining both in one bill gets me HBO Premium for free. That does not expire until I leave AT&T It took about 30 minutes and was on hold a good deal as he investigated what was available and looked at both of my accounts. I asked for his supervisor after we were finished and complimented on how good he was with customer service. Last time I called I got a jerk but jackpot this time. Now back to enjoying my drink.

Mr Info replied to TSNBDSC's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Pertinent to this thread. http://ultimateclassicrock.com/hipgnosis-album-covers/ Interesting anecdotes to (in)famous album covers by Hopgnosis. Includes covers for Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, and others. -
50 of the Most Outstanding Album Covers of All Time

This was designed by Hipgnosis who were responsible for many other creative and iconic album covers. https://wimwords.com/the-hipgnosis-album-cover-gallery/ -
Whoever said that may have been thinking worldwide. Rabies death is just about eliminated in North America due to animal control & vaccination but worldwide, someone dies of rabies every 9 minutes. https://www.cdc.gov/features/rabies/index.html

Not if you are talking about the USA. https://www.google.com/amp/outbreaknewstoday.com/florida-reports-2nd-human-rabies-death-recent-months-23275/amp/

Let there be songs, to fill the air....
Mr Info replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My fave Garcia band is Legion of Mary. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legion_of_Mary_(band) Short-lived but some great shows. Merl S and Martin Fierro (sax & also played on Wake of the Flood) Kahn, & Ron Tutt (Elvis’ drummer) were an outstanding band. -
I called last week and tried to get a ST discount. It was obvious to me the rep had been trained. He asked, “Wouldn’t you spend more $ going to a bar for 16 games?”. I cancelled my ST and asked to remove my first charge. But I knew my contract expires Aug 25 so I will call back before then to see what I can do about re-adding ST. Will try the approach recommended in this thread about requesting account discounts rather than specifically asking about ST. I am waiting to see if Directv sends me any offers about ST after I cancelled. I am a long-time Directv & ST customer and also multi-line ATT mobile customer.

Retirement: Where to Get the Best Bang For Your Buck in the USA
Mr Info replied to T&C's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Agree with this but will also add something that perhaps some people do not carefully consider when selecting a retirement location: medical/health care, transportation, and an advocate (family member) present. I have in-laws who we had to move near us because there was no one to care for them when they chose to retire in the boondocks. They can no longer drive and require transport. They require some nursing aide periodically. Fortunately, they have plenty of $ but still amazing how quickly it can get spent for health care. You live far away and may not be close to medical doctors or dentists, hospital, etc. Plus, they may not be as well-qualified or experienced as you would like or need. If your family is not nearby, who will function as your advocate in dealing or questioning Medicaid, Drs., secondary health insurance, etc? If you have a car accident when 65+, good luck affording the insurance if you can get it. This will impact your independence. Perhaps living somewhere that allows you to walk to places is something to consider. I don’t mean to be the harbinger of bad news but am experiencing the reality of it and trying to do the best for my in-laws. People are going to continue to live longer but probably not in optimal shape. Live long and enjoy but think of the future and impact your decision, location, and situation may have on your family. Learning firsthand how to prepare for retirement. -
Favorite all time fast food combo meal
Mr Info replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I rarely eat fast food but go to Cook Out if I want a tasty, quick & inexpensive combo ($5). Cook Out locations are south of Maryland in the eastern US. -
Just got back from FloydFest and the band with all the attention was Greta Van Fleet. They only played once but a rockin set...would call it Led Zep meets GnR. Well organized fest, too. But this was their 18th year putting it on so that helps with getting logistics well defined.

Do you find the "Saints" name/logo offensive?
Mr Info replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, not offended at all but I am not religious. And I am not offended by a fleur-de-lis either. Glad camp starts in 2 days. -
None was assumed. Thank you for the insight. My grandfather had a dairy farm in Kendall but that was long ago. It is out of the family now. Perhaps now owned by the Mennonites or Amish as you mentioned in another post. Some of the muck farmers near Rochester were acquaintenances in college. They were fairly young. Their big cash crop was not onions and I’ll leave it at that.

That is relative. According to this USDA 2017 Farm Real Estate Value assessment, farmland is relatively inexpensive in NY compared with other states. https://www.usda.gov/nass/PUBS/TODAYRPT/land0817.pdf That does not mean you can find it for sale. just it's not that expensive in comparison. II am curious as to big farm competition articles in upstate NY because my google searches turned up rather empty.

I grew up in Batavia & my parents still live there so visit fairly often. I would not consider Batavia to be a thriving metropolis but a micro-brewery recently opened there: https://elifishbrewing.com/ It is a nice place to raise kids. If your friend is more interested in rural living then I suggest Elba or Oakfield or some other villages users have mentioned. Just depends on whether he wants to be closer to Buf or Roch.

But that’s only half the story. “She said the two sexual acts — allowing a horse to fellate Webb-Jackson and digitally penetrating the horse — amounted to acts of cruelty.”

Countdown to Kickoff for Bills Packers game
Mr Info replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, I figured to get a reply like this. My intent is to help a Bills fan trying to find a place in GB for the game as they are not easy to come by. If it works out for some couple, great. If not, we get a big place in Green Bay. Also, I do not have any extra tix. -
For this stay, the significant other must be a female.
-
Same for me, Ned Long time Directv and Sunday tix customer and the only discount offer through chat was Sunday Max for the same price as regular Sunday Ticket ($48.99/month) which is a savings of ~$16/month. I said no thanks right now.
