  1. Just got back from FloydFest and the band with all the attention was Greta Van Fleet. They only played once but a rockin set...would call it Led Zep meets GnR. Well organized fest, too. But this was their 18th year putting it on so that helps with getting logistics well defined.
  2. Yep, not offended at all but I am not religious. And I am not offended by a fleur-de-lis either. Glad camp starts in 2 days.
  3. None was assumed. Thank you for the insight. My grandfather had a dairy farm in Kendall but that was long ago. It is out of the family now. Perhaps now owned by the Mennonites or Amish as you mentioned in another post. Some of the muck farmers near Rochester were acquaintenances in college. They were fairly young. Their big cash crop was not onions and I’ll leave it at that.
  4. That is relative. According to this USDA 2017 Farm Real Estate Value assessment, farmland is relatively inexpensive in NY compared with other states. https://www.usda.gov/nass/PUBS/TODAYRPT/land0817.pdf That does not mean you can find it for sale. just it's not that expensive in comparison. II am curious as to big farm competition articles in upstate NY because my google searches turned up rather empty.
  5. I grew up in Batavia & my parents still live there so visit fairly often. I would not consider Batavia to be a thriving metropolis but a micro-brewery recently opened there: https://elifishbrewing.com/ It is a nice place to raise kids. If your friend is more interested in rural living then I suggest Elba or Oakfield or some other villages users have mentioned. Just depends on whether he wants to be closer to Buf or Roch.
  6. But that’s only half the story. “She said the two sexual acts — allowing a horse to fellate Webb-Jackson and digitally penetrating the horse — amounted to acts of cruelty.”
  7. Crazy Eddie's Commercials
  8. Yep, I figured to get a reply like this. My intent is to help a Bills fan trying to find a place in GB for the game as they are not easy to come by. If it works out for some couple, great. If not, we get a big place in Green Bay. Also, I do not have any extra tix.
  9. For this stay, the significant other must be a female.
  10. Same for me, Ned Long time Directv and Sunday tix customer and the only discount offer through chat was Sunday Max for the same price as regular Sunday Ticket ($48.99/month) which is a savings of ~$16/month. I said no thanks right now.
  11. @diver Thanks for the tailgate info I looked at other commercial Packer pre-game tailgates on-line and saw this one at Bart Starr plaza: https://bartstarrplazatailgateparty.com/packages/ What was interesting is what they said about the Parking lots: Parking lots open six hours before kick off and are available in the US Cellular Lot and the arena lots. Is that true for the T KIN lot?
  12. Ok, I may regret this but I have rented a 2 bedroom 1300 sq ft upper level of a house Airbnb for 10/29 (Sat) in GB on North Clay St. My wife and I are flying up for the game and we only need 1 bedroom. PM and let me know if you are interested in the other bedroom. I will heavily vet. It has to be a guy with a significant other woman. This place is nice and I got it the day the schedule was announced and hotels sold out. The price is $130 for the other bedroom.

  14. Yesterday, season tix holders received another email about training tix at SJF. Today (July 12) an email about tix for night practice at New Era on Aug 3. I ordered these. Only way to receive them was thru mobile app. Might be soon for public.
  15. @BuffaloBudis referring to the broken scapula that Craddock had from a crash in Stage 1 yet he continues to stay in the tour. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.net/cyclingweekly/news/racing/tour-de-france/lawson-craddock-ready-fight-like-hell-stay-tour-de-france-breaking-scapula-385856%3fsource=dam There was a crash in Stage 4 and Tiesj Benoot finished with a dislocated soldier & a bunch of stitches in his head. He withdrew before Stage 5. For those interested, here are answers to Tour questions such as how they pee, how many riders have died on the Tour, and how much the bikes weigh: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bicycling.com/racing/gmp20037343/14-questions-youve-always-had-about-the-tour-de-france/
  16. I grew up in WNY and called it pop. First trip in college to visit friends in Manhattan and I used the term ‘pop’ for a carbonated beverage and all looked at me like I had fallen off the turnip truck. Have never used pop since to refer to a soda.
  17. The last episode is a game changer. Enjoy!
  18. Ok, now that you brought up fromage, I will relay a story. When visiting relatives in Corsica, they brought out fromage les habitants (cheese with residents). Difficult to find...you have to know somebody because illegal to sell in the EU so this has only occurred a couple of times. It’s similar to Casa Marzu in Italy and actually called casgiu merzu in Corsica. https://www.atlasobscura.com/foods/casu-marzu-italy It is cheese with live worms/maggots inside. It’s goat cheese but soft and the flavor reminded me of blue cheese. You would cut the oval into slices and wait for the worms to crawl out from the holes where they were aerating the cheese. It was a fun experience. The females would shriek and grimace when the whole serving process was performed and the worms wriggled out of the cheese. They would not touch it but the men would pick up the cheese and enjoy it on a baguette slice or cracker with a glass of wine.
  19. Heartily agree with this assessment. Have relatives in France so this sometimes assists in picking locations for vacation visits. The amazing physical condition of these guys, bike technology, weather and road condition strategy make for a compelling watch, imo. I bike a bit, too, though it is a bit humbling when comparing how my best efforts pale in comparison to their seemingly effortless cruise when the riders are chatting in the peleton.
  20. https://www.letour.fr/en/ On NBCSN
  21. It does not indicate in the email when these tix will be available to the public...just, first come, first served. Season ticket holders are limited to the # of season tix to a max of 4.
  22. Yes, an email sent to season tix holders on July 2 for training camp tix. Still waiting for the email for practice tix on Aug 3 at New Era. Should be soon. That’s the only weekend I will be in Buf this summer so want to get those.
  23. Yes, I have had poutine many times. Eating 25 lbs of anything in 10 minutes was what I considered incredible. It appeared to be the most weight he ingested in the shortest amount of time in glancing at his eating records.
  24. Three series I enjoy re-start in August: Better Call Saul Animals Ozark
  25. Why is she laughing? The last time the niners were in the playoffs was 2013. Boy, it feels good to ne able to dis other teams now that the Bills have finally ended the drought.
