Little Help - Getting to airport after the game
Mr Info replied to berndog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just using this reply as an example but there are many more stating something similar and I disagree with this approach. I posted prior but will post again. I have flown out of BUF on a 7:30 pm flight after a 1 pm game literally about a hundred times over the years and never left early to beat the rush. People can be anxious about flights but best to watch the tone of the game and make that decision. Hopefully, the Bills are well ahead and many fans will have departed before the end of the game. Relax after the game and watch the games at 4 or grab a beverage while you wait for the traffic to dissipate...or both. Even with a close game, let about 2 hrs pass and traffic will have subsided enough for a 40-45 min trip to BUF from the stadium. Leave about 6:15 for the airport and you will be there just prior to 7 and then a quick scoot thru security with TSA pre-check and you are on board shortly later. Obviously, this approach changes if the game goes to overtime. But, if you have to leave at the end of the Q4 prior to OT, you will not have to be concerned with traffic either. It’s always worked for me. I am on flights fairly often and do not stress about them. But I am a high tier member so can speak with someone right away to make other plans. Nonetheless, not many options out of BUF after 6 pm so can understand the concern. Just stating this approach has always been successful for me. -
Little Help - Getting to airport after the game

I will provide some feedback because I have often taken a 7:30 pm flight after 1 pm games and have been doing this for years…even decades. I typically park in a private lot on Sheldon Rd and leave between 6-6:15 pm. Some traffic but it usually keeps moving. Routes suggested by others here may be best but I use Waze. I get there by 6:45-7 and drop the rental car. Get him TSA pre check so he can get through the security line quickly. This has always worked for me for 1 pm games but this strategy has to change if the game goes into OT. Now I fly out Monday for Sun games as I work remotely and do not have to be somewhere Mon morning. -
I have been there a few times…as recent as a couple of years ago when we had a high school reunion there. It’s a fantastic place. I moved from the area long ago so not there often. The organization that manages is much better. Long ago, they were discriminatory in accepting applications. There are notes about this if you want to google it.

Just received the following email from Xfinity: “We recently announced that Peacock Premium would no longer be included with your Xfinity service. Today, we’re excited to share that beginning June 26, 2023, your gig-speed internet from Xfinity will include Peacock Premium at no extra cost for two years through June 25, 2025.”

Saw the Les Claypool show last night. He performed the entire Floyd Animals album during the set. Sean Lennon and Harry Waters (Roger’s son) are in his band. But what made the concert excellent was the opening band of Belew & Harrison performing Talking Heads material, primarily from Remain in Light. Turquaz was their backing band which makes an 11 member band. They are together only on some of Claypool’s gigs but highly recommend if both are part of the bill in your area. Belew is an outstanding guitarist.

I guess I am fortunate. I took the retirement package from one of the companies where I worked but now I am an independent contractor working in the same business because I really enjoy the work. I will continue to work until either I no longer enjoy it or they no longer want to pay me. I still find time to do anything I want but just don’t get paid when I do not work.

Nice to see undrafted players contributing to the Heat’s success. It would be good to see Nuggets finally capture a championship. Might be a harbinger for the Bills.

Hangin’ at the Rooster Walk music fest this weekend. https://roosterwalk.com primarily because the spouse is running her food trailer here. A relatively mellow festival. Bands include Kitchen Dwellers. St Paul & the Broken Bones, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Yarn, Marshall Tucker Band, and a relatively new band that I thought kicked butt, Wilson Springs Hotel.

NFL owners OK flexing of Thursday night games
Mr Info replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills: Week 13 bye Week 14 Chiefs, Sun Week 15 Cowboys, Sun Week 16 Chargers, Sat Week 17 Pats, Sun No way NFL is flexing Week 15 for Bills with a game on Sat. Bills will not be flexed weeks 13, 15 & 16. That leaves possibly weeks 14 & 17. But Pats suck so only week 14 may be in play but CBS may select that game so this may not impact the Bills at all. -
CBKNEWS (where you got this) is a scam just like crypto.

Wait…it appears @GoBillsinDallas is no longer a member. Have you assumed the responsibility of posting these type of artifacts? Will you also be replying with ‘Boomer’ to anyone mentioning a 60-70s band?

If you are a Jorma fan, then I suggest you read “Been So Long”.

Providing my perspective as I have had clubs for a brief period and also have lower bowl seats which I have had for quite a while. I initially purchased clubs so I could take my father to one game/yr. He’s approaching 90 and requires easy access, food and restroom convenience. But I use the clubs every game I attend rather than the lower bowls. I have not resold my clubs yet to any game but have re-sold the lower bowls. I have also provided the clubs or lower bowl tix to family & friends. I arrive early after clubs open to secure a table inside the club for food and drinks pre-game. Agree with the items that @Shaw66mentioned above. I may eventually release my lower bowl seats but will hold onto the clubs for the perks. You also receive a Bills Bucks card with a small % of your payment as a balance. I spend all of that in the club food & bar but it does not go that far due to high prices.

Where did Dr. Mayer provide a basis for this statement? If the cause was provided as commotio cordis then that seems possible as other athletes have returned after suffering this. But the article states “The cause of his collapse still has not been determined.” so either this appears to be a poorly written article or Dr Mayer is aware of the cause but didn’t reveal it…or just a crappy article. Two ESPN writers contributed to this article.

Seeing this show in RVA, June 6. Nice double bill with Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew performing Remain in Light tour. In Buf, it’s Neal Francis.

Graham Nash loved Crosby. To get a good perspective of Crosby, CSN, & CSNY, then recommend Nash’s ‘Wild Tales’. Wild Tales: A Rock & Roll Life https://a.co/d/auy0HbO

I was doing some consulting in Indy recently and stopped at The District Tap on Meridian St and, to my surprise, they had ‘Beef on Weck’ on the menu. Ordered it but it was a hokey Kimmilweck roll. First and only time I tried it. It’s under ‘Sammies & Wraps’ on the menu: https://www.thedistricttap.com/menu/food/

Your wife needs all those seats? Diet & exercise can help her with that. -
Disturbing episode, ‘Home’, on the X-Files covered this topic. Fox banned the episode after it was shown. Google it to find it.
