Question for all would be doctors, for my mother.
Mr Info replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall
Sorry to hear what you are going through with your mother and hope she & you can find the underlying cause. I am dealing remotely with diagnosing medical issues with my mother. I will suggest she address the two medical issues you note though uncertain if these will lead to addressing the pain problem. Surprised that her pcp has not determined if hypertension is present and provided a treatment. Unsure if she can monitor herself with an automated cuff and write or show the readings to the doc to ascertain hypertension and the appropriate treatment. Whether a chlorothiazide, ACE inhibitor, or beta blocker. All are very safe and can treat hypertension quickly. Regarding the type II diabetes, if her pcp is unfamiliar with continuous glucose monitors, then see if you can get her an appt with an endocrinologist (this may be challenging for a quick appt) for obtaining a continuous glucose monitor but Medicare will cover this expense and these readings can be shared with you or others and then with the doctor to determine treatment. These both should addressed asap and hopefully may lead to pain resolution. Even if not, these treatments would abate other medical issues which may result if these are left untreated. -
Probably enough from Latavius Murray.

We are traveling from VA and have flights early Sunday morning but expecting to receive a rebooking notice anytime now. Now looking at driving sometime tomorrow afternoon instead. -

Sorry about pasting this here but not much activity on TBD Ticket board. Long time member & STH of 4 tix and know some of you. Going to the game this weekend with 2 of my tix and have my 35 yr lower bowl seats available due to friend’s sickness. Want a Bills fan to have them rather than sell where a Steelers fan can snag them. Will be very reasonable on a price. Here’s the post and will delete this post in 24 hrs if no takers & post them for sale. Here’s link of my post. -
…or maybe 1/2 cars. Are you blazing?

Due to other circumstances, we have to fly early Sun morning. We have one stop and may have a couple extra seats if delays occur. Planned the trip to return on Jan 22 so we can see both games. -
Many older folks find newer technology challenging and/or they are on fixed incomes. Should businesses use older technology and/or give away their product as goodwill? A biz should price their product however they wish. This will be reflected in the demand for the product either via purchase and/or access to the product. Until enough people don’t want to see NFL games the price to view them will continue to increase. Find another hobby instead of complaining.

Just a suggestion - can you remove the Peacock app from the device/tv and download it again?

Would you explain your first sentence? The covid self-tests are specific to the antigen associated with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. i believe your positive test only means covid is still active. Most likely, the persistent cough since 2018 is a coincidence & no relationship to covid. Hopefully, an ENT can diagnose and treat that separate issue.

Bills open Justin Shorter's Practice Window

It will be interesting to see what they do with him as he is a big target at 6’4” and fast, too. -
Otw to Hampton Coliseum to catch tonight’s Goosemas show.

Whenever I get depressed about the Bills, I just think about the Jets and get a smile and that perks me back up.

I am in VA as well and, in our area of central VA, the man doesn’t seem to have the time to enforce the confusing laws. For those looking for some craziness, you can legally purchase and grow these at home…though that may change. These two links are examples but there are other similar sites. https://mushroomsupplies.com https://pnwspore.com

I agree with that primary focus but otoh, if something happens to Cook then they are screwed since losing Harris. -

Got this from the article you posted: “Up to this point, there's no truth to the rumor that they're going to officially change their name to the New England "Patrits" because there's no "o" to speak of right now.” -
Yes, Peacock offers extended viewing options for the tour over NBC. https://www.peacocktv.com/blog/tour-de-france-how-to-watch-on-peacock#:~:text=Yes!,have to miss a moment.

I understand the issue (and expense) of requiring multiple streaming services to watch NFL games. Fortunately, I am locked into Peacock as they stream the Tour de France.

Wasps (thanks for correction) are out of control this year
Mr Info replied to WotAGuy's topic in Off the Wall
Two yrs ago we had wasps periodically flying around the 2nd floor of our house. Not a lot of them but one is too many for my liking. Went into the attic and discovered a whole bunch of the clay-like nests. Was going to exterminate them but also heard a colony of bats behind a wooden support beam next to the chimney. I held my hand to the board and could feel the bats moving around. They were feeding on the wasps. Bats are protected where we live so hired a wildlife removal expert to create an easy egress for them and then installed a bat exclusion device to drive them out. After they were removed, covered up all entry points to the attic, and a pest service used a smoke bomb in the attic to kill the wasps. Have not seen any wasps in the attic or house since that time. -
