  1. Yes, it is different because the stadium is located within the Green Bay city limits. As I mentioned above, one third of the league’s stadiums are considered to be located in suburban areas. Certainly more than the five @mragsmentioned but far less than the two thirds that are located in either downtown areas or within actual city limits.
  2. Lambeau Field is located in an urban residential neighborhood. It may not be in downtown Green Bay, but it’s not in the suburbs either. As to the larger point being made about stadium locations, a third are located in downtown areas, another third are located in the city but not downtown, and a third are located in suburban areas. I believe Gillette is considered to be in an exurban area.
  3. Has Beasley ever professed his love for Aaron Rodgers while standing in a stadium tunnel waiting to take the field? Huh? Well has he?

  5. And you should be judged in the context of your posts in this forum. No, we don’t know McD personally, but he comes across as someone we would enjoy getting to know. You? Well, does anyone really want to get to know a total delta bravo?
  6. One of my favorites as a kid. Loved it when he beat the piss out of Ben Davidson on MNF, too. RIP, Otis Taylor.
  7. Nobody should be surprised by this revelation as the hitch in his step was noticeable all year.
  8. He was never really healthy all season. And in the offseason, there were a couple setbacks in his re-hab after the back surgery. He was never on schedule health wise going into the season. That said, there are no excuses and this is his prove it year, regardless.
  9. Aging players leaving is inevitable and it sucks, especially when they end up signing with a hated rival. But if we could handle Thurman signing with the ‘Phins, we can certainly deal with Poyer going there. He had a good run here and now it’s over. Next.
  10. Victory formation. Best play ever.
  11. No worries. Confusing Webbs is easy enough to do while sober.
  12. Huh?
  13. Agree entirely as it was one of the best individual seasons in history to that point. 2243 scrimmage yards was unheard of at the time. I think the 2003 yards in ‘73 gets more notoriety simply due to the sheer historic weight of the feat.
  14. 1973, OJ 2,003 yards in 14 games 74-75, Bob McAdoo led the NBA in scoring with a 34.5 avg.
  15. It’s interesting that the technologies for all those things predicted in 1993 were already being developed and used. Does anyone remember the AT&T VideoPhone 2500? That came out in 1992. Companies were heavily investing in the infrastructure required to offer up the first generation of these products for mass consumption. And none of it took 30 years to get here.
  16. Gugny once again bringing the astute erudition to the discussion.
  17. I wish him luck because I can’t see a contending team agreeing to a deal like that for the reason you cited.
  18. I’d consider signing OBJ to a one year prove it deal and nothing more.
  19. Yeah, they were real craftsmen. It’s interesting to note that their routine was taken from a vaudeville routine in the early 1900s, which was based on the premise of two cities in a country named Which and What. But A&C refined it to the art piece it became. It literally never gets old and in my book, that’s the true test of comedy.
  20. Perhaps the greatest comedy routine ever created and performed.
  21. INdeed!
  22. “Low man wins” is an age old football reality. And the QB has nothing to do with that.
  23. We need to connect the smoke dots.
  24. All due respect for Hodgins, but he had one decent game and one pretty good game. And he was brought down to earth rather rudely the week after. Losing Hodgins did not and does not make one iota of a difference to the Bills’ prospects for success moving forward. As for Daboll, I am only happy as hell for him. His COTY award only reflects positively on McDermott as without McD, Daboll never would have gotten the opportunity so soon.
  25. The Jets have the better overall roster as they should given the abundance of premium draft picks. But as we’ve seen countless times over the years, superior rosters are often wasted when that roster isn’t superior at the most important position. Unless they get the QB position solved, that surrounding talent will wither more than win.
