Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production

Sorry, but I can’t agree with this at all. There is simply zero relevance, historical or otherwise. The entire context of each TE drafted and their individual team situations must be considered. -
Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
K-9 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
And this is relevant how, exactly? Because one TE selected in the 1st round of one draft has absolutely NOTHING to do with any other TE selected in the first round of another draft. As if their relative success has nothing to do with the teams that selected them. -
It’s not much of a reach when a prospect is drafted right where he was projected to go. In this case, late 3rd/early 4th.

Long snapper eligible. Works every time.

Damned dominant defense destroyer.

NFL GMs don’t like flakes, especially at the QB position.

I think Beane meant to say teams will have to stay in nickel personnel.
-
There’s an old saying that you bring your team to camp and if he’s not on a roster by then he will have to hope a team has injuries necessitating adding him to their roster during the season.

What separated Beasley from other receivers was his ability to read coverage pre and post snap, especially zone schemes. Far more often than not he was able to find open areas for Josh to exploit. If I’m Shakir or any other receiver for that matter, I’m watching film of Beasley 24/7. I’d also bend the ear of Josh to better understand what the QB is seeing as well. Beasley was a former QB who learned the game from that perspective first and it’s no coincidence he was so good at recognizing coverages.

Much appreciated. There’s a difference between knowing catholicism and knowing the history of catholicism.

FG% is legit, but the other two stats come down to the sheer number of attempts and there are too many other factors that dictate those numbers.

New stadium cost goes up from $1.4 billion to $1.54 billion.

Unlike the resident experts here, GMs, scouts, and other talent evaluators around the league couldn’t care less about what all the talking head pundits and draftniks think of any prospects coming out. The Bills, like every other team, will have a list of players they’d take with every pick in every round they select. I guarantee that list won’t jibe with the talking heads who just aren’t privy to the same sheer amount of information compiled since last spring when the college scouting season kicked off in earnest. Our resident experts should prepare themselves for the head explosions come draft day because if the Bills value and select a player at 27 who some ill-informed pundits rank lower, that’s sure to happen. Just like it does ever year.

I think you mean trickled on.

It’s Buffalo.

That was my line of thinking as well. Size wise, Campbell is a clone of Edmunds and while not as fast over the 40, he has comparable athleticism in other areas. He just seems like a McD kind of player and we certainly have a need now that Tremaine is in Chicago. Other than TE, we have addressed every positional group on the O side of the ball. Now a lot can happen between now and the draft, but at the moment the signs are pointing at defense yet again for our first round pick.
-
Ah, Kevin Siracuse citing the infallible PFF grades. I’m sure Beane did, too, before deciding to sign him. 😂
-
Unless a blue chip offensive player falls to us or McBeane feels one is worth trading up for, the board should brace itself for another first round pick of a defensive player. My guess would be DT, but McD loves his MLBs, too.

Yes, it is different because the stadium is located within the Green Bay city limits. As I mentioned above, one third of the league’s stadiums are considered to be located in suburban areas. Certainly more than the five @mragsmentioned but far less than the two thirds that are located in either downtown areas or within actual city limits.
-
Lambeau Field is located in an urban residential neighborhood. It may not be in downtown Green Bay, but it’s not in the suburbs either. As to the larger point being made about stadium locations, a third are located in downtown areas, another third are located in the city but not downtown, and a third are located in suburban areas. I believe Gillette is considered to be in an exurban area.

Has Beasley ever professed his love for Aaron Rodgers while standing in a stadium tunnel waiting to take the field? Huh? Well has he?
