  1. Well, this isn't true at all. Moss was productive as a rookie and was in a good position to run away with the starting RB spot before injuring his foot in the 2020 postseason. On OBL on Monday, Beane was gushing about Moss and said that he was still dealing with his recovery from the foot thing all of last year and basically couldn't cut at all off of his left foot. Assuming he's 100% heading into 2022, he's absolutely in the mix to split carries with Motor or possibly supplant him as the starter. Duke Johnson was signed in case they didn't get a hybrid/pass-catching back that they liked in the draft. They've filled that spot now with Cook. I expect Johnson to be traded or cut before the final regular season roster is finalized.
  2. True. Our inability to get home against Mahomes and/or cover for the majority of the game were the real reasons for the loss. "13 Seconds" was just a continuation of everything that came before it. Thankfully, we went out and addressed those weaknesses. (Think about White/Elam in that game vs. Wallace/Jackson). Now it's prove it time.
  3. I agree, Shaw. If I know anything about the guys he's assembled, it's that they are hard workers who will come into 2022 hungrier than ever to win a championship. Add in these new pieces and the confidence Josh had to have gained from going God-mode against the Pats and Chiefs, and I really like our chances of having a special season.
  4. Probably that. But if he was stoned on Friday night, that makes two of us.
  5. I watched Shakir a decent amount being a West Coaster and staying up late to watch MWC and Pac-12 football. The guy is an absolute steal for a 5th rounder. Super productive, quick and great character and work ethic. I think he's going to be one of the best slot receivers in the league in 3 years time. And he's going to learn a ton from working alongside Diggs. Really, really excited to see how he develops in Buffalo.
  6. Balls of steel. I'd hate to be sitting across from Beane at the poker table.
  7. How about Rusty? Since he may only punt eight times all season. Or "The Yeti"
  8. Starting to really warm to this draft haul. And as much as some here have bemoaned not getting Josh enough help, we have a ton of interesting offensive chess pieces with Crowder, Howard, McKenzie, Cook and Shakir. I really think Shakir has a great chance of becoming an elite slot guy.
  9. Love this pick. Feeling much better about this draft with the Shakir and Araiza picks!!!
  10. Hard not to feel like we just totally bungled things in the 2nd round.
  11. Not feeling great about the WR situation now.
  12. We are going to draft an interior lineman (or another CB) and the board is going to completely meltdown. Lol.
  13. Completely agree with all of this, but it's possible that they find their WR3 in FA after the draft with a guy like Julio Jones. Not the best of options and I'd prefer a WR in the draft, but I'm okay with BPA over WR if it's a significant difference in talent level.
  14. Yes, we have some issues, but we did finish with the no. 1 overall defense last year (though the quality of our offensive opponents is still definitely open for debate). Sure, we've focused on defense in the first round the past three years, but our draft picks have been spread pretty evenly between O and D during Beane's tenure.
  15. Totally agree. And he still likely doesn't win a Super Bowl without Brady.
  16. Great college player and I love a little cockiness with my CB's. But now comes the fun part. 😁
  17. Yep. And Elam was talked about all week as a big riser on teams' boards. Listening to WGR yesterday, and many of the guys didn't think he'd last until 25.
  18. I like how we talk about value based on talking heads projections of players. It's meaningless until these guys get on the field. I like Elam's physical traits and I trust in McDermott's and Frazier's abilities to coach him into our next lockdown corner.
  19. Could McBride slide to 57?
  20. We are now set at CB for the foreseeable future. And there is still a ton of value out there in the 2nd round. Love it.
  21. If this was their guy and all they had to give up was a 4th? I'm all for it.
  22. Lol. Looks like a classy gal.
  23. Sorry, man. I think I must just be getting tired of the Breece Hall threads. Also, it's still early here on the West Coast so I'm a cranky boy. I actually agree with you. CJ Spiller (and to some extent Marshawn) turned me off to 1st round running backs (for the Bills) forever, especially when you consider we got Thurman in the 2nd round and Fred Jackson as an UDFA.
