  1. I agree that the Chargers look great on paper heading into 2022, but that seems to be the case every year for the past 20 years and they've disappointed more often than not. I'm not sure what it is with that organization, because coaches and players have turned over multiple times, but they just can't seem to put it together. I agree with FB above. For me it's the Chiefs. Until we can progress further than them in the playoffs, then they are the team to beat, imo. And as much as the AFC improved overall in the offseason, the Bills and Chiefs are still head and shoulders above the rest.
  2. Maybe '91? But the 49ers, Skins and Giants all would have been neck and neck with them in odds. Edit: Looks like I was right. Preseason odds favorites in 91: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1991/preseason_odds.htm
  3. Yeah. Color me NOT WORRIED. Just played one of the greatest games of all time, at home, against hated rival, in front of a packed and rabid fanbase, in the playoffs, against the GOAT coach, in 0 degree weather. So, he had better stats on the road than at home last year in a season where Buffalo had exceptionally bad weather on numerous game days. Case seems open and shut to me.
  4. Not mad. It's still disappointing, but I am much more excited about 2022 than I am disappointed about 2021.
  5. I think he's gotten better and better at the situational awareness and in game decisions from season to season, and probably the best we've had in that regard in my lifetime. Yes, something was horribly screwed up with 13 seconds and he's ultimately responsible for that mess, but I'm not inclined to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
  6. Nothing short of a full on player revolt or him getting caught doing some despicable act or committing some serious crime.
  7. I'm not scared of the guy, but what you posted isn't accurate, unless you're already counting 2022 as having been played. He had 7 sacks and made the Pro Bowl in 2019 (for a third straight year) and was basically shelved for the entirety of 2020 with a knee injury. So, the stats you list are mostly confined to his performance in 2021. Having said all that, he's still likely washed.
  8. What I don't get is how a team is willing to make such a huge investment on a guy who has (allegedly) proven to be a serial sexual predator. This isn't a single incident of he said/she said. These types of tigers don't usually change their stripes. This is a sick dude who is likely to repeat the behavior. How can you place your trust in this guy, let alone have him serve as the face of your franchise? Mindboggling to me.
  9. Makes sense. If Tyreek Hill isn't on the field, 13 seconds never happens.
  10. It's amazing. Kudos to the Chargers PR team.
  11. Agreed, man. Gotta get to 5-2 and then it's all gravy. 6-1 and we'll lock up home field in week 16.
  12. Why does everyone think White won't be back? Unless he suffers a setback, he should absolutely be ready for the opener. Edit: Disregard. He had surgery on 12/15 and the average recovery time is 10 months. Guess that puts him on the field some time in October.
  13. Just up the road from me in San Diego. Would love to go. Wonder what the cheapest ticket is?
  14. Really great stuff. You can see that they're focused on drafting guys with good character. Super pumped for 2022.
  15. I used to feel bad, but can't help but think the guy is more fortunate, than unlucky at this point. How many guys throw 5 picks in a half of football and have nearly $5 million in career earnings to show for it? You don't like to see a nice guy like Nate become the punchline that he is, but he's got a loving family and a load of cash compared to most working stiffs. I doubt he's feeling sorry for himself.
  16. I like Basham over AJE going forward. Can't help but think AJ could be the odd man out with Shaq now in the mix. Wonder if he holds any value in a trade?
  17. I, for one, am not going to dog these dudes until I see them fail with Tyreek on the field on Sundays.
  18. I voted other, just because there always seems to be a later round guy who emerges and becomes a stud. I think Tariq Woolen, assuming Pete Carroll sticks around, could become that elite corner in 3 or so years.
  19. Interesting to see the level of interest in Eastern Europe, particularly in the former Soviet Bloc countries. I wonder if it's because our peak period of success coincided with the fall of the Berlin Wall/Communism?
  20. He's born and raised in Houston, so it's a nice homecoming for him and he gets to mentor some young guys with Lovie Smith. Best of luck to you, Jerry. Thanks for the memories and for helping set the foundation for the "process" oriented Bills. You'll always be a Buffalonian in our hearts.
  21. My two favorite things in the world (besides my kids): the Bills and golf! Going to be a great summer between this, The Match and the start of Bills training camp. 😁
  22. And now that we've whet our appetites, time for the main course: Legendary Bills QB Best Throws
  23. Why can't Araiza learn the holding job? He doesn't have experience since he was punting and placekicking at SDSU, but it doesn't mean he can't learn to do it competently before the season starts. He's got 3+ months to work on it. Also, guy made 96/97 extra points during his career and was 22/26 as a kicker back in 2019 (not so great last year). That's a nice insurance policy should Bass ever get nicked up during a game.
  24. There are two Monday night games overlapping? Has that ever been done before?
