  1. I think we'll see some regression to the mean for both the offense and defense. Assuming this Josh Allen sticks around, given the rest of the talent on this squad, we should win a minimum of 10 games. I'd readjust our over/under to something like 10.5 wins at this point.
  2. Yep. I was 11 as well. We had seasons from 87-95. So many great memories, but that game really stands out for me.
  3. Watching him play now, it's pretty clear what McBeane saw in him. They looked past the numbers and saw his otherworldly natural physical gifts, will to win, superior intelligence, likeability and leadership qualities.
  4. Cam Newton said something similar, but it was about the owner instead of the receivers.
  5. Raiders? I see them as a 6-8 win team. We can definitely lose that game, but I'm not any more worried than I was during week 2 against the Fins.
  6. One of the most memorable games I attended as a kid. Not sure I remember Rich Stadium ever being louder than during that 77 second stretch. All of the fans just hugging and high fiving. Great times.
  7. I feel like we are pretty solid at the position right now. Kroft is an all-around solid player when he's healthy, and Knox is a tantalizing project who's only in his second season. I fully expect Knox to make some head turning plays as we progress through this season.
  8. What about Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers? Is our weather that much worse?
  9. He's been a great compliment to our big three. Gets open and has Velcro hands. Guy looks legit.
  10. He is Favre on steroids. I can't believe how lucky we are to have this guy leading us for the next decade.
  11. I think it's more about the need for the opponent's offense to play more aggressively when Facing a prodigious offense.
  12. We played well for a half and then its like we hit a wall and had zero in the tank. I'm guessing a conditioning issue with the truncated training camps? Our line applied zero pressure in the second half and Goff had forever to pick apart the secondary. The d-line appears to be a serious issue.
  13. Josh singlehandedly dragged our carcass across the finish line today. Lol.
  14. Blatant holding on every play
  15. Feels like 1990 all over again
  16. I'd love to see the guy get a chance to start a playoff game. Would be a great story if he came in as a backup and led a team to a Super Bowl win. Not likely, but it would be a fitting end to the ultimate underdog story.
  17. I thought all of the big name guys were overrated (Mayfield, Darnold, Rudolph and Rosen), but thought Rosen was the best pure passer of the bunch. Plus, I'm a UCLA alum and saw all his games so I felt comfortable with him. Still shocked by how he's fallen flat on his face. I really wanted nothing to do with the other guys, particularly Darnold and Rudolph who completely lack any elite skills. I didn't want Allen since he had mediocre numbers in the Mountain West and just assumed he would be an enormous bust based on the experts opinions. I knew he had a big arm, but had no clue about his awesome athleticism or leadership skills or personality. I didn't know what to think about Lamar, but would have been on board wth us using our second 1st rounder on him.
  18. It's amazing the pain and punishment these guys put their bodies through to play the game. I broke my ribs in a mountain biking accident in June and I could barely sleep for 3 weeks, and coughing or sneezing felt like getting hit with a baseball bat. These guys just take a shot, go out and get pummeled by 300 pound he-men.
  19. You need to stack wins in any way, shape or form. If they're healthy enough to play, they'll play.
  20. Type "Josh Allen" into a Google search and you'll see that he's getting tons of love from the national media. There are always going to be detractors and contrarians and those just looking for clicks. Hell, Tom Brady has 6 Super Bowl rings and there will always be a contingent who views him as a "system" quarterback or labels him a cheater. Peyton Manning, as great as he was, was often knocked for his lack of Super Bowl appearances and rings compared to Brady. Anything short of perfection and you'll find someone popping up with a negative critique. And even those who touch perfection will get labeled as "too perfect" or "robotic"...lol. It is what it is. Obviously, some Bills fans are extremely sensitive to this criticism and the outside public opinion about our team and quarterback. It's completely understandable when you consider that we've been desperately praying for good quarterback play for the past 25 years. There's a fear that maybe Josh won't become that elite guy that he's showing flashes of growing into. We seek the outside validation to allay those fears and protect our own egos. For me, personally, I don't care at all what the outsiders think of Josh, because my eyeballs and the results on the field are telling me that Josh is THE GUY. I feel very good about our chances of reaching a Super Bowl in the next 4-5 years with Josh leading the way.
