  1. Always a huge Shady fan but don't have a problem with this. Eliminates the possibility of Shady sulking at a reduced workload and gives the youngster Singletary room to shine.
  2. Well, whoever wanted a surprise cut, there you go...
  3. True, but it did make for an odd scene on the sideline.
  4. Gotta think Ray-Ray is coming back to the PS if he goes unclaimed.
  5. Welcome to the 53, TJ.
  6. Surprised at Munnerlyn cut...not so much Ray-Ray.
  7. Bodine in the huddle: “what are we running, Weeble Left or Turnstile?”
  8. Sills really just needs to add a little more muscle to his frame. A year on the PS would be good for him.
  9. 9 picks. Our own 1-6 plus the three Beane just swiped.
  10. Just wait until we hear Tyree is going to Oakland for a conditional 2nd.
  11. So Beane just got a 5th and two 6ths in next year's draft for two guys who were going to be cut? Wizardry.
  12. 4D chess. He's a wizard.
  13. Me too. I want him to get into another game that counts and watch the meltdown.
  14. Good ol' Mike is soon to be joined by Wyatt Teller in the annals of "the Bills are going to regret losing that guy" history...
  15. Rhaney: You can't cut me, I'm not even on the roster Beane: I know. That's what makes this so difficult.
  16. Of course he does...he's on the bubble! (Oh, that McDermott)
  17. By Saturday at 4 p.m. there will be at least three punters with NFL-caliber ability available. There's no way McD and Beane will go into the regular season with Bojo.
  18. I'm glad it was just a minor scare since I've got Edelman in one of my FF leagues. Hate him because he's a Pat*** or hate him because he's a douche -- both are true -- but the dude produces.
  19. I've always felt that if you are a veteran-laden club, then winning in preseason means next to nothing. When you're a young team, winning is winning. What was really cool about last night was seeing the 40-or-so guys who didn't play show genuine enthusiasm for what happened in that 4th quarter.
  20. I first felt this way about the team after last year's W3 win in Minnesota. Yes, a lot of bad (and some good) came after that, but it was at that moment I sensed something special about what McD and Beane are building. We shall see if the talent has caught up to the culture. Tyree has a long way to go before he even reaches that status. He's a gamer but he's nowhere close to being an NFL QB. He was "one read, then run" all night long.
  21. Bingo. You heard McD and Beane both consistently talk about "not being where we want to be" but they somehow got everyone to buy in, despite moving high-priced and (in some cases) talented players. Kyle Williams even stayed around on last year's miserable roster rather than going out with a playoff appearance because he believed in McD. Flores wants to tear it down and build it up the right way in Miami, and he should get that chance if ownership is fair. But now, more than ever, it is becoming clear that the Fish will indeed stink this season.
  22. So here's the point: if you "win" a job but then weeks later can't hang on to it, you're not a good QB. Who does Fitz typically beat out in these QB competitions, anyway? He's a smart guy (did you know he went to Harvard?) and can learn a playbook, but he can't consistently make the sort of quality NFL throws he needs to make to be a regular starting QB. He is the perfect 2-3 game fill-in starter if your main guy goes down. Anything more than that and you're doomed to failure. And for a guy as smart as he is Fitz falls victim to "hero ball" more than he should. The real problem, though, is that Fitz is clearly a witch. If he arrives on the roster and you're the current 1st string QB, your head better be on a swivel.
  23. I agree. So in a nutshell, they're expecting Kroft to be back within a few weeks and don't want to have to shelve him for six. That's cool. Smith is sort of like an extra O lineman also. Both rooks have shown they belong. See ya Croom.
  24. The trade pretty clearly favors Buffalo. They traded a guy who wasn't going to start and apparently wasn't even a primary backup for a 5th and 6th in next year's draft. Draft experts will tell you that the value of a 7th round pick TWO drafts from now is almost negligible, and Beane now has more draft capital in 2020.
  25. I have to admit, this has been fun.
