  1. Dude is certifiable. Just being human, I'm actually a bit concerned for his well being.
  2. I don't know, man...how many times can Beane say "we know it's a results-based business" before you understand what that means?
  3. Their schedule is the very reason why they could be overlooking the Bills.
  4. Ok, I just read the article. I don't for a moment think Beane came off as "lukewarm" on Josh. He is repeating what he and McD and Daboll have said about Josh all summer long. He's stating facts -- Josh needs to improve in certain areas but he has been working his butt off. It's funny how people can interpret things in completely different ways. I don't think Vic was negative either -- he was asking some smart questions that a lot of us have. I actually think Vic is buying in to "the process" and is looking forward to covering the team this year.
  5. Yeah, man, you just don't get it. And besides, why is it important to you to hear the GM or coach say that? Do you fear that they don't want to get to the playoffs or win a Super Bowl? I think Shaw laid it out very well in his responses above.
  6. Does Mark Davis ever look in a mirror? I mean, seriously...ever?
  7. If they don’t suspend AB I feel like Mayock should just resign. He’ll have been shown to be nothing more than Gruden’s pawn — which we know he is, but at least they were sort of hiding it.
  8. Good for Dion! Dude is primed for a big turnaround year. Love that Josh and Tremaine earned it as well.
  9. Absolutely. And you've got to feel sorry for Del Rio. It's like dating a girl who tells you if her ex-boyfriend ever is available again she's leaving you.
  10. My biggest surprise reading that was in realizing Okposo is still on the roster.
  11. Thanks for the 6th, Bill!
  12. Goosebumps!!!!
  13. The under 40.5 is a great bet in this one. I think this also favors the Bills generally as they have a veteran defense in the same scheme; the Jets are playing in a new system.
  14. Are you filling in for ScottLaw this morning?
  15. All true, but the line on Mitch has been that he's an accurate passer and he was "off" all night. If Josh Allen has that game the "that's what you get from an inaccurate QB" takes would be flowing like hot lava.
  16. My first hot take of the regular season: Josh Allen is better than Mitch Trubisky right now.
  17. I hear ya...I dreaded seeing the blue on blue until they actually wore them and I was surprised how much I liked them. The white/white/white combo is just...too...white.
  18. Good man. As for me this weekend I'm golfing in my regular Sunday morning group (tee times between 8-8:30), then home to watch the game. This is perfect for me because I'm usually a nervous wreck on Sunday mornings, so I get to waste a few hours on the course -- a few adult beverages included -- and then come home and the game's about to start.
  19. Tell your son he can make new friends.
  20. Yay, we're talking about uniforms again! #1 -- blue jersey/white pants #2 -- white jersey/blue pants #3 -- blue on blue #4 -- red color rush #5 -- white on white
  21. Understood -- I don't think Beane should be praised for backing out of the AB sweepstakes for any reason other than the price was too high. It would appear that few know/knew how much of a nut case this guy would be.
  22. What "this board" does is compare Beane to what came before him -- 20 years of s-h-i-t. You're blaming him for Davis and Boldin? Jesus. Beane's job is to find players who might fit Buffalo's culture and help them win. If they get here and don't fit (for whatever reason) that's not on Beane, it's on the player. Maybe Davis and Boldin, seeing for themselves it was going to be a long season in Buffalo, decided as aging veterans they didn't want to lay their bodies on the line for results that would come a year or more later. As for the AB situation? Beane looked at a roster void of superstar WR talent and made inquiries about AB. That was stupid? You have chosen to believe the narrative that Beane was begging AB to come to Buffalo and was rejected. Not only is that explanation improbable, it goes against everything we've seen and heard from McD and Beane since they arrived. What should we believe -- that on this one occasion Beane suddenly decided to act completely out of character? You're the one going out of your way to place blame. The most reasonable and plausible explanation is that Beane and the Steelers spoke in generalities about the possible terms of a trade. The discussions got far enough along where it became necessary to gauge what AB's contract demands were going to be. Did the discussions end because AB told Rosenhaus there's no way he would come to Buffalo? Of course not; they ended because AB's price was not something Beane wanted to pay. The very reason Beane didn't agree to AB's price is because he was looking at the locker room culture and decided (accurately) that it wasn't worth it. No "football people" are laughing at Buffalo and Brandon Beane, I assure you. I couldn't care less what the "click here" media types and ignorant fans think and say. As we have seen, it's foolhardy to take anything that comes out of AB's mouth seriously -- but YOU are going to believe it when AB says he laughed at coming to Buffalo. Riiiiiiiight. Are you willing to go on the record right here and now that you find AB to have more credibility and integrity than Beane? Surely you aren't believing AB's agent, Drew Rosenhaus? Because why would Rosenhaus ever say anything to paint his client in the best light? Rosenhaus' comments about the helmet situation were a joke as well. If you simply stopped for one second to look at the whole picture of what McD and Beane have done since they arrived, you might find you've missed out on enjoying a process that appears to be primed for sustained success while instead you've been busy "protecting" yourself from disappointment.
  23. I think he explains why in the very tweet you quoted.
  24. Jesus H Christ on a popsicle stick, it just dawned on me again that this offense has EIGHT out of eleven new starters. How anyone can predict EITHER success or failure at this early stage, before we've seen them in live action, is beyond me. It's a friggin' new team. Sunday is going to be exciting; it's like Christmas morning and we get to unwrap a present (the Bills' O). What remains to be seen is whether the present is Playstation 5 or just another pair of socks.
