No. The Pats*** hold the common games tiebreaker with the Bills if they finish with the same W-L record (presuming the Bills beat them in Foxboro). At this point the Bills' only plausible chance at the division is for the Pats*** to lose at Houston and to KC, while the Bills win out.

I agree that we are about to learn a lot over the next five weeks. My feeling is that Josh and the offense are trending up, and the defense is very solid but not dominant. Against Dallas and Baltimore the Bills are going to need to score at least 24 points, so the timing couldn't be better for the offense to be showing signs of life.

I wouldn't have married a woman who didn't agree to become a Bills fan. This couple we're bringing are good friends who unfortunately also happen to be Ravens fans. We've been to the last six Bills/Ravens games together -- so far the home team has won each time so I'm crossing my fingers that trend continues.

Man, some of you guys are so afraid to feel good about the Bills it's heartbreaking. Lighten up! They put up 420+ yards in consecutive weeks and literally dominated a very good Broncos defense. The Bills' offense is not bad now and only getting better. Like I said in the original post, if you're still "worried" about the offense you have my sympathies!

You really need to discuss this analysis with @Nextmanup -- who has been noticeably absent the past couple of weeks, by the way -- as he knows for certain Allen sucks and it's only a matter of time before the rest of us wake up.

Baltimore fans travel well...I should know, I'm bringing two of them. Bills fans just need to buck up and buy those tickets and fill the seats.

Hey man, you start the threads you want to start and I'll start the threads I want to start. Everyone has trashed the offense and in back to back weeks they've looked like a better-than-average NFL offense. I don't think there's anything wrong with recognizing that even when the team wasn't scoring they've been moving the ball, as evidenced by their overall yardage ranking. They just won two NFL games in a row by 17 points, which is an anomaly in this league. With so many new pieces and the limited amount of time the CBA allows for practice, it was only reasonable to suggest it would take them some time. If you want to carry on with the "yeah, but I need to see it consistently" refrain be my guest, but I see an offense that is most definitely trending up and giving opponents multiple things to worry about.

If so you have my sympathies. God forbid a team with 7-8 new starters be allowed to work things out and get better as the season progresses. With back-to-back 17 point wins the Bills are ruining the "they only scrape by crappy opponents" narrative!

If you believe Sullivan is all about getting the "truth" out there and what he publishes/says/tweets is "candor" you're a pretty naive dude. First of all, he's not a reporter -- he's a columnist. That means his job isn't to report facts but to give his opinion. In reality, he is no different than any number of posters on this forum who focus more on the negative than the positive. I don't know the man personally but he strikes me as someone I wouldn't care to spend more than about 30 seconds of my recreational time with, and the next time he comes up with an original or novel take on something will be the first. Sullivan has been marginalized professionally and he's grasping for any way to make himself relevant. He asks inane questions at press conferences and you can tell McD is disgusted with him. As for this "story" -- and I haven't even bothered to listen to the clip because I don't care -- Matt Fairburn is a big boy and can handle himself. It's just a little bit curious that we've heard nothing of this until Sully decided to "break news" but regardless, it's a non-story.

That's beautiful to watch, and wonderful to hear an analyst praising Josh's recognition of the D that changed from pre- to post-snap and having the confidence (and arm) to thread the needle. I just feel like this is going to get better and better.

I haven't read the entire thread so maybe this has been brought up, but my understanding of the Watson "fumble" is that basically, the refs on the field screwed it up by blowing the play dead without acknowledging a fumble, and therefore tied the hands of the replay official who was powerless to correct that error because of the way the replay rules are written. In other words, it was not an error by the replay booth but an error in the fact that the very thing replay is supposed to correct (on-field ref mistakes) was not "reviewable" because of the whistle.
