  1. As I suspected and mentioned in an earlier thread, Beane wasn't one of the GMs wanting the draft pushed back. He and his staff are prepared.
  2. If we really want to be accurate, we don't even know what "it" was. I'm now beginning to think there was no actual offer extended. But my point still stands that Diggs was first priority regardless of what the Bills did or did not discuss with Sanders.
  3. You're making assumptions about what communication did or didn't take place based upon one quote from an interview. Sanders didn't say he never spoke with them again, and the Bills have said nothing on the subject. The Bills apparently made Sanders an offer and he chose not to accept it -- that's all we "know." My theory is the one that makes the most logical sense; it's unrealistic to believe the Bills viewed Sanders and Diggs equally and only went for Diggs after Sanders put them on hold. They would have been happy with both but Diggs was their primary target.
  4. He chose to look elsewhere after seeing what the Bills did. I’m sure they didn’t tell him they were pursuing Diggs when they made their offer. They wanted him for a certain price and he declined. What’s so difficult to understand here?
  5. Please don’t. It’s a waste of your time.
  6. Your point is wrong, in my opinion. They would have been happy to get Sanders also, but he chose to look elsewhere after seeing the room he would be competing with for playing time.
  7. Totally disagree. Diggs is twice the player Sanders is right now and was always the target. Sanders was just going to be added competition for the room.
  8. Or...a Bills fan will recall the most vivid memory of a former Bills player. In case you didn't notice the thread title is "Tom Dempsey recovers from COVID-19." I didn't even click the link since that sounds like good news. I hope all of those "thoughts and prayers" are working out for y'all.
  9. The obvious answer is that they didn't. The likely scenario is that the Bills were trying to upgrade the WR room and were already in the midst of discussions regarding Diggs, but also made an offer to Sanders. I don't think the timing of when the Diggs trade took place is relevant other than it showed Sanders they weren't counting on him as a #1 and he saw that with Brown and Beasley (and now Diggs) on the roster he would be fighting for playing time. So he decided to keep looking around.
  10. When I heard Tom Dempsey? Yes. Your point?
  11. Agree with those saying it was not a "Sanders or Diggs" situation. The Bills wanted both.
  12. Yeah he was a Bill...and he missed a kick that would have ended the Miami streak against Buffalo a year earlier.
  13. Interesting that they are confident enough to put a schedule out there, but I suppose by May 9 we'll have a better idea as to how effective social distancing measures have been...I still have my doubts about there being a season.
  14. You’re a damaged little girl afraid to love again. Sorry the Bills disappointed you by exceeding your gloom and doom projections last season. Godspeed brother.
  15. I will have no problem with Beane giving Dawkins a market-value contract extension for an above-average starting LT.
  16. "Especially if you're gonna downweigh QB" -- They can't help themselves. As I always say, PFF is short for Pffffffft.
  17. Great point. They are due; nature loves an average.
  18. I started a thread last week (that got shut down because people couldn't stay on topic and turned it into a COVID thread) in which I opined that teams with the most stability (coaching staff/roster) will have a big advantage if teams can't have their full complement of minicamp, OTAs, and training camp. I think this translates into a lot of sound betting advice, which has been noted by the OP.
  19. I think great QBs elevate those around them. Nobody is calling Josh Allen "great" yet, but he just gave John Brown his best year ever and came a smidge away from doing the same for Cole Beasley (career high TDs, 2nd-most yards). This offense is going to be something with Diggs, and Josh Allen will continue to open eyes this season.
  20. Oh I'm not calling him a bust by any means...I bet he is a bit envious of the organization his good buddy Josh got drafted into, though.
  21. @BillfromNYC pretty hard to argue with those first two picks...
  22. I know you already know this, but playing good football when your season is already over (as the Jets did after W7 last year) is much different than playing well in games that matter.
  23. I'm sure Timmah Graham has already posted an update to his story with news of the Pegulas' generosity and donations during this crisis, along with an analysis of what has happened to the hospitality industry in general....right? Right?
  24. Others have already responded but Anderson is a better player than Perriman. And as for surrounding their QB with talent...the Jets gave Darnold Anderson, Crowder, Bell...if people start claiming Darnold "hasn't been given a chance" to explain why Allen is having more success I'm going to call b.s.
  25. This is another one of those "not everyone should be able to start new posts" examples, I hate to say...
