It’s a shame some feel the need to start threads like this. I used to do it occasionally, but I then realized that nobody is changing anyone’s mind in this forum with a few exceptions. We are who we are — and the bottom line is that none of us have any impact upon what happens on the field. At our best, we are united in hoping for a Bills Super Bowl win. At our worst, we argue over things we can’t control and try to prove we are “right” or know more than someone else. I’ll say what I always say: this is a fun team and I’m thankful to be watching a guy like Josh Allen represent our team and fan base. Only one team wins the Super Bowl each year and a lot of things have to go right to get there. Go Bills!

Just calling it like I see it. I have no idea what in the world you see as a similarity between these two situations other than just being a sad sack Bills fan looking for reasons to torture yourself.

It sounds to me as though right now Keon's highest and best use is as a "big slot" guy and in the red zone (where he can go up and get a ball). It's not beating corners and it's (as Steve says) certainly not as an X. Hopefully Brady sees that as well for his use in the playoffs, and then we can see what he works on and (hopefully) where he improves.

I think it is very rarely relevant to compare results from different years. The teams are different. That said, Josh turned the ball over recklessly in that game after the Bills went up big. It could just as easily have been a blowout. Josh has matured significantly since that time. If there is one thing that is consistent about the McD/Josh Bills, however, it is that they typically beat the snot out of teams they are supposed to beat. After this week the real battles begin.

So is this something you have noticed all year? If so, it appears to be a coaching issue and not a talent issue. Do you agree?

Well, the Buffalo News guys agree with him. In their “report card” today they specifically mention 4 or 5 of the targets to Keon that were not realistically catchable.

Denver is 1-7 against teams with a winning record (not counting their win vs KC backups). Just leaving that here for consideration. It’s Dolphin-like.

I won't rewatch that abomination of a game but it looked like guys were just going through the motions, and drawing any conclusions from what was essentially a preseason contest doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I disagree. Pittsburgh is in a tailspin but these games are different. I expect a one-score, 4th quarter game.

I'm not sure what game you were watching, but the majority of those "targets" were uncatchable balls.

Darnold is still flawed. Holds the ball, feels the pressure. But he has played incredibly well this year and shown he can be coached.

They are in great position to finish 2nd in the AFCE next season.

I have to believe that this is only really true for players on teams who are on the fringe of the playoffs and know they don’t really have a chance to hoist the Lombardi. Teams like this year’s Dolphins — they are beaten up and know they don’t have a chance in hell.

Gotta think the Chargers are motivated to win today and go to Houston rather than Baltimore. That sets up a 3rd Steelers/Ravens matchup, and while I think Pittsburgh is trash you never know what might happen in one of those games. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m no longer “worrying” about who the Bills play, though. We’re a damn good team and will have a great opportunity to beat anyone we face.

Love the look of that injury report. Only two players with designations and one of them (Samuel) has been invisible this year anyway. I think Trubisky is going to hand the ball off a lot and throw to the TEs. I like Davis and Morris to have decent days.

If he had hit him low it would have been a cheap shot and penalty. What he did was perfectly legal (and filthy).
