  1. Haha, yes, you are correct. I'll edit.
  2. Friggin' Travis Jason Kelce was there lobbying for the play. Ridiculous. It's not a football play and hopefully it's out next year.
  3. Never gonna happen ($$). Half of the league gets into the postseason tournament, just like the two other major sports (NBA/NHL). Baseball is its own animal and they play too many games as it is. Adding one team in each conference won't water down anything, and it only adds one more game. Nothing else changes; you still have 2v7, 3v6, and 4v5. Makes too much sense not to do this.
  4. I think at the end of the day the Fish still have the 2nd best roster and will finish 2nd in the division...five or six games behind the Bills.
  5. Once they get to an 18-game schedule I hope they eliminate byes altogether and put 16 teams into the playoffs so it's a legitimate tournament. The decision to go to only one bye per conference was a dumb one.
  6. It’s a non-contact sport, and essentially the same thing as players working out in the offseason. There’s really no reason not to approve them playing if they want to. Yes, injuries can happen, but they can also happen just by working out. I’m sure the legal details were discussed and the owners will not invalidate contracts if a player is injured during the Olympics.
  7. I think a lot of NFL players would get a huge kick out of this and will be interested.
  8. Wasn't it issues coming back from the wrist injury? I think he, along with Coleman, are two of the reasons the strength and conditioning coach got canned.
  9. Let’s just call this what it is…an attempt to “fix” something that happens once in a while but not all that frequently — a WC team with a better record playing at a division champ. I don’t really have a problem with it, but I also don’t think it’s some huge issue that had to be addressed. I would MUCH rather them go back to two byes or no byes (and add one more playoff team).
  10. I just came here to say 😂 🤣
  11. Why is this thread titled “McBean?” You know McDermott doesn’t do the scouting or drafting, right?
  12. After an 0-3 preseason many on this board will be wringing their hands and forecasting a 9-8 regular season.
  13. This. There are a couple of lots but it’s nothing to write home about. Better off pre-gaming at a bar.
  14. No. That’s Reggie Gilliam.
  15. I found something to b-i-t-c-h about for all of you looking...the Bills have one of the worst "net rest day" differentials in the league, meaning their opponents (overall) have a proportionately greater number of rest days before playing the Bills. If you think that matters.
  16. Ravens…but only because the Iggles game isn’t the LAST game at Rich. If it was, those would be ungodly expensive. (although, of course, we’re all hoping for two more at Rich in the playoffs)
  17. Great recap. This year will be my wife’s and my 4th or 5th straight trip. We prefer South Beach (I don’t need to be surrounded by Bills fans) but you are dead on about the mentality of Fish fans in town. It’s a “don’t fight; just lay back and take it” kind of resignation. For about two minutes they thought Tua was going to lead them to greatness but now even they know it’s a lost cause. Warms my heart, truthfully.
  18. At the end of the year, with Benford having his bell rung the secondary the Bills trotted out against KC was as bad as it gets.
  19. I appreciate what Q brought to the Bills but I also believe this kid Hawes is going to be an excellent addition to the roster. If he is as good a blocker as advertised, he allows the Bills to nix the 6-OL formation and have a guy in there who can actually catch the ball as well. Q was just a ST guy and occasional red zone presence.
  20. Having been at the divisional playoff vs. Baltimore in January, I can assure you there was no issue with “too many Ravens fans” in the stadium. They have a good (easy) schedule but predicting anything more than an 8-9 season is really going out on a limb. They’ll still be underdogs in most of their games.
  21. Another thing I thought about…playing Cinci late in the season means more time for the “new” secondary to gel. If the Bills’ revamped defense is going to be what we hope, by that point in the season they should be humming.
  22. LOL at this. The JETS are a “solid running team?” The Pats? Bills will be favored heavily.
