My biggest criticism of those who criticize McD is that they fail to recognize his continued and consistent growth as a head coach. They harken back to mistakes he made 4, 5, even 6 years ago as if he is the same coach now he was then. It’s not dissimilar to looking at 2018-19 Josh Allen and the player he is now. Even last year there were talking heads still clinging to their assessments of rookie Josh and we blew our lids over it. Why doesn’t McD get the same respect from our fan base? Saying this team is “all Josh” is a disservice to many men — Beane, McD, and the rest of the roster. McD has been a very large part of Josh’s growth and development — does anyone want to argue he wasn’t? It’s time to stop the narrative that McD is somehow keeping us from a championship. He out-coached Harbaugh Sunday night by a mile, and Harbaugh is universally acknowledged as a top-5 HC in the league.

The answer at safety is TIME. Bishop needs reps to get comfortable. I’m not predicting Bishop/Rapp will become some dynamic duo but they can be mid-tier and that is sufficient on this team.

How much better is the Ravens team on paper than the Bills?
eball replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m getting a little tired of this narrative. The Bills’ OL is better. The Ravens’ C is excellent but the other four spots go to Buffalo. The TEs are a wash. Flowers starts, and after that it’s a wash or Buffalo is better. The two starting RBs are Henry and Cook. Defensively it’s slightly more slanted towards Baltimore — the safeties, one CB, one LB, and two DL. But these rosters are not as lopsided as many of you seem to believe. -
Another test for the run D, but Allen & Co. should put up enough to get the job done.

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF

Shame on anyone who left. You don’t quit on Josh Allen! -
Has Baltimore ever run "quick tempo" with Lamar? Serious question; I don't watch their games except for when they're playing the Bills.

Couldn’t have come soon enough! Bye!

It’s nowhere near what happens in other buildings around the league, and when our seating capacity drops to 60K next year it will be even less so.

Found this on YouTube and it’s freaking great. Might be a podcast I start watching/listening to regularly. Always loved Fitzy and Whit is entertaining also. They had Josh on this week and it was an awesome interview; a lot of stuff you don’t typically get. I’ll say it again — we are SO DAMN LUCKY to have this guy as the face of the franchise.

If true that’s some next level tomfoolery by the Bills. Why in hell would somebody be wearing Tre’s # out there? Are we sure Matt Bove is correct? No idea what that means.
-
Yeah, Mike goofed there. Red jersey and helmet typically means limited but practicing.
-
It’s too bad Red Zone won’t be Scott Hanson-free…

He might not be practicing, but that’s Tre right behind him in the red jersey with a helmet on…keep your fingers crossed, boys and girls!

Fantasy Football - Draft Discussion Only

First draft last night. Superflex, full PPR, 12 teams. Post draft rankings seem to suggest I did alright. -
Pretty sure the players pick these so they must think the all blue look is cool. As others have noted, not my favorite, although they were sweet on Thanksgiving back in 2019 when they beat the Cowboys.
-
Thinking about it some more, this Carter news doesn’t even move the needle for me. He was not impactful on the field and while perhaps he was going to turn the corner I’d much rather see the rookies get more time.
-
For everyone complaining in these threads about the show, understand that for people who don’t regularly follow the Bills it was very interesting — I’ve heard that from every person I’ve talked to. Personally, I loved it. People got to see Josh Allen the goofball and Josh Allen the master technician. They got to see how a tight-knit professional organization is run. They got some Dion goofiness. They got some “hard knocks” stories seeing Davidson, Hamler, and Rogers get lots of air time and then be cut. I loved the D line dinner in last night’s episode and seeing Daquan’s character and heart. Some of you guys are just miserable ****s, truthfully.

There's quite a bit of overreaction to last night's debacle, which is human nature, but I think a more balanced view is simply that we saw how difficult it is to have a turnover of 70 -- SEVENTY -- players in one offseason and have a team that is cohesive and ready to perform right out of the gate. I think we'll have a much better idea of what's going on after a few more games.

Fantasy Football - Draft Discussion Only
eball replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall
My first of two drafts tonight…this one is a 12-team, full PPR, superflex league with one keeper. I’m drafting 10th, which sucks, but my keeper is Jayden Daniels and he counts as my 2nd round pick (#15) so I’ve got that going for me. Will probably go best WR at #10. -
That was terrible!

Agree, odd timing and in the scheme of things not a huge blow? Feel bad for the guy but it was somewhat surprising he made the 53.

Since 2017 (when McD became the Bills’ HC): Harbaugh: 87-45 regular season, 3-6 playoffs, one AFCCG (that they lost at home), with 2 MVP QB seasons McD: 86-45 regular season, 7-7 playoffs, two AFCCG (lost on road), with one MVP QB season Who deserves more credit, and who takes far too much crap from their fan base?

In 2013 Flacco had one of the best QB postseasons in NFL history. It was ridiculous. And they still almost blew it against the Niners. Harbaugh gets far too much leeway because of that one SB win.
