  1. Hate that guy. Why did they ever follow that fool's lead? He quit doing it because the team was terrible, then they won a few games and he came back. Gutless.
  2. Hate this deal for the 49ers. I think you get David Montgomery for a 5th and I would rather have him than McCaffery. McCaffery has a higher ceiling, but Montgomery has a much, much higher floor. McCaffery's floor is at ground zero due to injury risk, IMHO. Montgomery is bigger, more powerful and catches the ball very well. Get him for a 5th and be happy!
  3. I don't think Moss has what it takes. Too bad. I would like to see us add a quality power back. Montgomery for me. He takes the Moss role. Big, runs hard, catches the ball. Also reputedly a very good character guy. Would like him more than McCaffery even if they cost the same. (Given history and fit - I understand McCaffery's high ceiling). Love Motor, excited about Cook, and Montgomery would give us that high-quality big back. ESPN says you should be able to get him for a 5th. Maybe try to make it a conditional 5th, but 5th does not seem too steep.
  4. I had hoped to never again see the name Vlad Ducasse
  5. Makes a huge difference that Jones and Phillips are stout against the run AND push the pocket.
  6. "Sneed, you know I'm vibing. I don't say nothing."
  7. I was going to say Colts, but I am surprised to see they are already in. Thought about the Jets, surprised again. I am down on Burrow given his outfits. What about the Cheats? Belichek is like a vampire, you have to stake him through the heart to be sure he is dead!
  8. Couldn't agree more. The beef in the middle - both Daquan and Jordan Phillips -- makes a huge difference. And Shaq was a sneaky-good signing as he is very stout at end.
  9. Agree on the Allen part. But "Humble and Hungry" -- Let's not jinx us on the Super Bowl! Seeing them hoist it would be believing.
  10. Get well Tommy! Our thoughts are with you. I will never forget you signing your contract.
  11. The Edmunds vs. Oliver debate is a false one. We will sign them both - you heard it here first. They keep their own. But I believe there is zero doubt we would miss Edmunds more than Oliver, who I also want them to sign. He does so much more in the defense. Edmunds vs. Milano is also a false debate. Perhaps Milano is outperforming his contract, but he signed at a different time under different circumstances and plays a different position.
  12. Like a rolling stone, I gather no Moss. Duuuuke!
  13. But Tremaine has cooler hair.
  14. There are lies, damn lies and statistics. Confirmation bias is powerful.
  15. Sorry, "Tre" - autocorrect.
  16. Excluding The, that is like $45 million worth of corner talent we are getting for $1.79 and a coupon. Tremendous for the team. Don't forget Hamlin and Johnson!
  17. Run blocking has been Van Rotten, but maybe they get a little more time to gel? I am satisfied Singletary is, at minimum, a solid back - so if they continue on this path I am all in on blaming the line. Maybe Kromer can get it together with them. We have played some good, physical defenses in Rams, Titans and Ravens. I am concerned, but not yet abandoning hope.
  18. Shout out to Dane Jackson. Humble and hungry, he didn't miss a beat. I liked Levi, loved his story and was sad to see him go, but Dane is better. Best Jackson we have had since Fred. Put some respect on the name.
  19. Draft 'em and coach em up. Tremaine must remain!
  20. Frazier wanting him to take a next step and generate more splash plays does not mean Frazier does not realize his value or doesn't want him for the defense. I have seen him speak out strongly for Tremaine several times.
  21. Stay stout up the middle and a reversion never needs to happen. In my (regrettably, too long) experience, once It clicks for a player they rarely revert all other things being equal (unequal things being health, age and the players around the player). Edmunds checks the boxes on age and availabliltiy/injury, so just don't field a weak interior line and he will continue to excel.
  22. First, thanks for the shout-out. If we want him, I believe we have plenty of cap flex in the deals of others that we are not going to walk away from and there can afford to restructure (Allen, White, Miler, etc). I hope.
