  1. I wouldn’t have guessed he is still that good. My bad, but I’m very happy that I was wrong…. Billieve me though….the rest of our DL has to really elavate to get us that Super Bowl…. I don’t want a team that has to have the ball last to win…. Beane was able to almost totally rebuild the DL and I’m hoping it is much better than last years version. Combine that with Tre’s return and Kaiir’s addition, and we should have the #1 defense even against the great QBs…. The three young DEs and the three new DTs must combine with Von, Ed and Shaq to form one of the top five DLs in theNFL… We have a modern, extremely athletic yet big DL…. I wish we could add Jordan Davis or better yet DeForest Buckner….
  2. I think Roger Saffold is a top ten LG…. Also Ed Oliver is a top ten three tech… I’d remove Tre until he proves he is back though…. .Dawkins and Morse are around 9-13 as well I think… Milano IDK? LBs ain’t what they used to be…. He is a real specialty player. Great at some things awful at some things LBs are historically supposed to be good at….
  3. Can Kromer fix Ford? I think we’re lacking depth otherwise….
  4. And ipso-facto…Tre comes back from that injury and win the Super Bowl! Will Kaiir Elam be in the top five next season?
  5. But…. But…. Josh Allen! The Buffalo Bills! ???
  6. Lotsa new names along that DL. I hope it marries and that Von can be a leader and having that top nine play as one come September.DaQuon is a huge part of that line. We need him at his best.
  7. Optimistic forecasts? Its all about injuries to me. Bills probably win the Super Bowl last season if Tre White stays healthy. Once again he is a key figure for Buffalo. But every team has many key players. It is still a question mark how many players are key to Buffalo. If we have no depth starters become key. Or if the player is playing great they become key. Do we have DE depth? DT? CB depth? OT depth? Outside WR depth? If the answer is yes to all those questions and Josh stays healthy…. Just give us that trophy now…. If not, things get very dicey. or if we get a lot of injuries forget it…. possible key players for Buffalo: Dawkins, Morse, Diggs, Saffold, Davis, Allen, Knox, Bates, Brown, Von, Tremaine, Groot, Ed, DaQuon, Tre, Poyer, Hyde, Elam…..IDK if we have any quality OL depth. Or DL depth….secondary depth…. I’m not saying we don’t have it, I’m saying, right now, I don’t know… Ford, Doyle are big question marks. Quessenberry is only paid about a half mill over minimum. He can’t be that good. Mancz is paid even less I think… Maybe they’re good maybe they ain’t. You can go all thru the roster almost like that. Questionable depth in most areas…, it might be strong, we’ll see…. What I really love is we have a whole bunch of B weapons and a couple C weapons that might be B weapons…. Singletary, Cook, Duke, Moss, Howard, Khalil, Crowder, McKenzie, are solid B or C and there may be others…. We have a ton of weapons and Beane does a good job of always finding more. This goes with our A+++ weapon at QB and our other A weapons, I’m kinda giving Knox a bump but Knox, Diggs and Davis are our main weapons our A weapons and they would probably be big loses. I’m dying to see the D play this year. I’m dying to see it grow as our three young DEs improve as the year goes on. Dying to see how our three new DTs look. How Von looks, If Tre can make it back….If Elam is as good as I think he is…and just depth along the defense…
  8. Kromer, a way more qualified OC than Joe Brady…. Though I think KD understands how to call plays and why certain plays are called, etc. He knows how to set up plays, the whole schmear. I just don’t think McD is so stupid he’d put a coach in there that doesn’t understand play calling. (Even though no one can explain 13 sec. without making the Bills look stupid.) I think he does fine.
  9. No. Aaron Kromer is on the staff in case KD messes up.
  10. Ugghhh! I hate everything tom Brady . This just reminds me how badly he kicked our asses…. over and over. I don’t like it brought up in any way, any how….
  11. Three ways. Fred and Kyle are way, way, way more deserving. I would hope they’d be locks. I’d put Cordy Glenn and Eric Wood ahead of Fitz…. Wood might have been way higher had he been able to play out that last contract. An underrated Bill in my estimation. but I’d say Jerry, Eric, Fitz and Cordy - no and Kyle and Freddy a big yes! Both of them had immaculate careers in Buffalo and only Buffalo…. Both would be nationally famous had they played on winning teams. I just smile when I think of them…
  12. Oh, absolutely. I used to watch Kelly in the USFL and was similar to how Allen looks now. Just total domination by a bigger, stronger, better player than anyone he played against. He was super-human back then. He could run, etc…. LOL, it is a bit depressing thinking how Kelly lost his knees so young and that happening to Josh too…. But Jim Kelly was mobile in usfl. He wasn’t a runner, but he wasn’t the statue we all know and love from his Buffalo days either…. He was very dominant, like Allen is now. Just super human. (Knock on wood. No jinxes!)
  13. Outside WR - If something happens to Diggs or Davis we might be screwed. The whole OL - if a starter goes down. Defensive tackle - If DaQuon Jones goes down. And of course, we really need to get Tre back to build that Super Bowl worthy defense. Are the 3 young defensive ends good enough? And what about the 3 new defensive tackles? Its a super thin line between the Super Bowl champ and the next best six teams….especially in the AFC….
  14. We gotta build that pressure everywhere. Though I thought Cook would do one and Shakir the other…. Austin, IDK? Does he still possess that speed?, might be able to line up as fourth target in all fours…. Or five-wide? We could use a superfast target….
  15. But let’s not make any mistakes here. Roger Saffold is here to win a Super Bowl in the twilight of his career. I think he can do it. And Von is too! Von greatest value might be to get that DL playing extremely hard and smart. Uniting the line and getting each one to play their best. Look at that draft Von Miller came in, almost everyone is retired. He’s got to be a player more valuable than what he can do on the field. He can still be a good football player but his days of amazing fans with his lightning quick play are probably all gone. We need our three young ends to really step up and I think they might just do that for Von. The same with our 3 new DTs. Shaq and Jordan Phillips are also here to win a Super Bowl. Hopefully the nine of them really come together and become greater than their nine parts. That’s what we’re banking on I think. Von is still good enough to lead our Nasty Nine. They gotta be very good to unite this defense and make it solid enough to win a Super Bowl.
  16. Head coaching change no doubt. It might even have been McD? Maybe it was Kromer that decided to go to the rams when Rex was fired? I wouldn’t have blamed him but IDK why he left the rams? You are way, way, way underestimating Saffold. He’ll be dominant as long as he is healthy. Dawkins had a tough time with Covid last year so hopefully, that is in the rear view mirror. Hopefully, McD wasn’t lying when he said Brown had this little arthroscopic surgery. Hopefully it is very minor and he is already ready to go… Bbut Brown entering year two could be a major upgrade. Bates was excellent last year. He really did unite the starting five. And Morse has never been a problem at all. The starting five should be much better than last year, I couldn’t understand anyone who’d think different. And the Backups, while I don’t like them, I don’t hate them either. Doyle could make a huge jump in year two. Ford might bond with Kromer, who knows? And Quessenberry is a question, imho… I never noted his play one way or the other. But! He came from a good team that blocked OK at least…. Maybe Boettger makes a big leap this year with Kromer here? It’d be about midseason but that’s maybe when we are going to need him… At least he is hopeful….maybe, IDK…. Depth could be an issue, we’ll see…. And that could turn out to be a huge deal. As good as Saffold is when playing, his body breaks down readily now at his age… So it is more important than ever to have a great sixth man. It might be Quessenberry I don’t know?
  17. “ Ike and Ford are good depth, but you don't want them starting.” Then they are bad depth…. I think, both, in the past, have proven to be down grades… Maybe Aaron can do something with this pair, IDK? The Bills need a backup that comes in and you don’t notice a huge difference… Though, perhaps, I shouldn’t complain as I remember Doug went into a season with Doug Legursky penciled in starting at LG! Can you imagine? And we didn’t storm the stadium in protest. I’d say Cody Ford is much better than Doug Legursky….. Quessenberry is no doubt much better than Legursky as well…. We gotta get the whole team buying into a code of excellence and we should be OK. What are you most anticipating for the 2022-23 season? I want to see that defense gel. I want to see the 3 new DTs look very solid. I want to see the 3 young ends tear up the league. I want to see Von Miller leading these guys. I want to see that secondary take the field 100% healthy and ready to go and dominate. Tre - Poyer - Hyde - TJ - Kaiir….. With any luck we get to see them play together and gel and become the best secondary in the league. #1!
  18. Maybe. I’m with everyone else in Billieving AAron Kromer can have a big effect in Buffalo. The guy was a hair away from becoming a HC before a meltdown…. But he is a great OL coach that should be able to be a sounding board for KD when he needs it…. I was hoping Aaron had more connections to available players in free agency but he only got one player to come here. A great one though in Roger Saffold…. I was hoping for more. I wonder what Kromer thought of Cody Ford in his draft year?
  19. I was just looking at the Bills 2013 and 2014 rosters and we’re so much better now on offense it’s crazy. It’s not just Josh Allen. We have a solid OL No Doug Legurskys here. We have very solid weapons. No Scott Chandlers, man, he was awful yet started for years here. It’s really hard to build a complete offense and McBeane has done it. (Singletary and Cook will be fine!) We had a very good defense in both ‘13 and ‘14 but ours this year might end up being better. It has a chance. Again, no obvious weak spots. We might end up with the league’s best secondary with any luck. I just wish we could have drafted Jordan Davis as well*…. But Beane has really done a great job of giving the city of Buffalo a legit chance at the Super Bowl this year. I’m appreciative. * - Davis is going to be an immediate star in Philly and he would have solved all our defensive problems in Buffalo. He would just shut-down the run. He would command a double team on nearly every play he’s out there. Tremaine Edmunds would rarely face a blocker. Von and Ed would be free to pass rush vs. single blocking as well… You need a big play, he can collapse the line. I mean, there’s so many things he can do for a defense it’s crazy. Another Ted Washington. Just a man among boys, imho…. Well, that doesn’t fill me with confidence but I appreciate the time you took giving me an answer…. I sure hope Quessenberry is the real deal. Or Ford finds himself in fourth year. It was Ford that was causing us some grief last year while we were struggling to field a good line for Josh. Yeah, he got hurt too… but still think he would have to play quite a bit better than ever before in a Bills uni. to replace any of our starting five….
  20. I do think our starting five, if healthy, have a shot at being dominant. I certainly don’t see why not? Dawkins is a very good LT most of the time. Saffold might be our best OL. He is going to make our left-side special. Morse has never been the problem. He is a solid and mobile center. Bates was the man who solidified the line last season. Hard to Billieve he was third string. Brown is a huge, huge man who had a great rookie season and should only get much better heading into year two. I’d say even very dominant if they stay healthy. My question is who is the #1 backup on the interior? on the exterior? and why? Has Beane gone overboard trying to get something out of Cody Ford? Or has Kromer promised Clay would be ready? Or what? Is Quessenberry much better than I thought? I have no idea… but I’d feel much more comfortable had Beane addressed this in the draft. I guess, they just weren’t there but that doesn’t explain what we are going to do now…. Thinking about that draft. Elam was the main thing we got by far.
  21. “This particular host also said he's very comfortable with the Bills' OL depth.” - Did the host happen to mention why?
  22. 99 days till: new OC, Saffold, Howard, Cook, Crowder, and Shakir. On defense: 3 young DEs, 3 new DTs, Shaq’s return, Tre’s possible return, Elams first game and Von’s first in a Buffalo jersey. Leslie’s defensive adjustments? The Rams (world champions) At Sofi….dropping of the super Bowl Banners…. It’s going to be tough for the Bills to keep up their energy…. To remain calm..,, Pretty sensational Thursday night (although I think we’re going to have to wait on Tre….)
  23. You’d think the perfect player to add to a Josh Allen offense would be Christian Watson.
  24. I’m just greeedy. I want three outside WRs…. So you rotate the three. And then you have slot WRs…. We have two, we need three….Another reason is to have depth. So you can keep going should one go down. Sure, we have players that can go outside but they’re not outside players. We’ll probably have to find out at some point whether the slot guys, TEs or Cook can play outside and get us out of a jam. I actually like Khalil the best to go outside if Diggs or Davis goes down for any reason.
