  1. So what do you think our record will be this year? Oh sorry, we went 9-7 last year, that's all we're allowed to say.
  2. What really bothers me is what this is teaching the young players. It sends the message that if you prove yourself in this league you'll be treated with the respect that you know your body and know when to enter camp. It's totally ridiculous.
  3. Someone on here said "The devil wears hoodie" - that was hilarious too.
  4. Not until you say Sammy wasn't worth it. That's really what they want people to admit and they'll never stop.
  5. I would think him not being there preparing for camp with all the other coaches has to be harmful. I assume there's more to the job than just nothing happens because the players haven't practiced (there).
  6. I don't think there's any team without a great QB that you can say will definitely beat us. I know some will - but I believe we should be the favorite every time.
  7. Peyton Manning. I loved watching Favre too but I just love how Manning has represented himself all these years. Funny thing is during the our glory years in the late 80's til mid 90's I couldn't really like other QB's, RB's and WR's - I guess I was always wrapped up in our guys getting compared to them all and usually fighting for national respect - so while always knowing and respecting they were great I couldn't like them.
  8. I know plus we traded 2 picks and didn't get one in return. Plus we could have traded one of those other picks for 2 more picks so we essentially traded 4 picks for nothing.
  9. I couldn't disagree more. I'm in sales and if I need to come down 5% for a strategic reason I have to run it by my boss. He's not a salesman and his talent isn't diagnosing what all goes into what's needed to get an order - that's what they pay me to do. But I do have to explain myself to him so that he can approve of my analysis. I think it's perfectly legitimate for everyone under Russ to do the work and on big happenings he's involved. My boss and I work as a team - he trusts me to understand situations and only give up profit when it's strategically needed. It's important he knows so he can one answer any questions if our owner looks at the sale - and it gives me an opportunity to prove that I'm capable of understanding situations to build trust with my boss. I don't just need him to count the order totals and work on the layouts of our brochures.
  10. The symbolism of Maybin’s painting “Forty Million Dollar Slaves” is unmistakable. “Fans can’t really wrap their minds around all the elements” of being NFL property, he says. Yet the money he made not earned in terms of production freed his family who wanted to retire - and allows him to be a knucklehead artist. Yeah Aaron I guess I'm not smart enough to wrap my head around the slavery of being NFL property.
  11. 5'10" 195 playing at UT Martin, nah I'm good.
  12. We're lucky to have these players part of the organization after their playing days. They are too and they recognize that and that's what makes it so great.
  13. There's no place for him in our camp battle. I'm not saying our situation is great - it's not. The last thing we need is another question mark that needs answers.
  14. McCoy has to be pre-Buffalo. I can't see Bills fans warming up to him that quickly. Edit: I said the above and then read it was March 1st through May 2015. I'm shocked he'd be #1 for all Bills players.
  15. Hey we don't say leprechaun.
  16. Yeah no problem. Another poster said he waits until the next day - but you don't have to - both online and the app has the previous hour available right after the next hour starts.
  17. Very simple solution. I use the WGR app and listen to the podcast which has zero commercials. If using the website just go to on-demand audio. Yes you're an hour behind but you skip every commercial.
  18. My guess is ticket sales dwarf in comparison.
  19. The average season ticket is $187+ per game? Box seats?
  20. All good questions (seriously). We made choices long before we got here. Some evidence is that Lucifer who clearly was in heaven (the covering cherub) along with others chose to go against God - so we know there was not only choices being made in heaven but also incorrect choices (sin). It's not a perfect place (yet). We don't come into this world without a past. We get or don't get blessed based on choices we made and make - although God still makes himself available. We get what we deserve in this life, our life before we got here, and the one after. Only God can judge that. The only other way to believe is that God is just up there creating people and screwing with us by saying "Ok this one's going to a crack house, la la la this one's going to be gay, ho hum this one's going to a Christian family, lets see lets see this one - oh boy - is getting the wrong genitalia, yikes". I can't serve a God like that. But I can serve one that is just and punishes and rewards based on choices. Sin is what has made us unlike God and if you'll ask he'll immediately forgive. That's what Bruce needs to do - come to terms that somewhere along his life he chose against God - and he'll forgive him.
  21. Look I get it - if you don't believe in God everything we believe in sounds foolish. If you do believe in God he gives us guidelines to live by - they aren't my rules and they don't always make sense - but I don't create belief systems out of my own mind. I concede that I'm too imperfect to just cultivate a belief system based on my own thoughts. God doesn't make people with the wrong genitalia. Funny story: A couple weeks ago my wife and I ordered wings and had them delivered here in Charlotte NC. They came wrong and we were upset - however they ended up being delicious and our new favorite at this local restaurant, but we have no idea what they are. We eat in a couple nights ago at this restaurant and order what we think is what we had from the incorrect delivery based on the description. They arrive at the table and I'm like yes those are them - my wife laughs and says no way these don't look close. I'm sure I'm right and I joke to my sons that Mom is crazy. She happened to take a pic of those damn wings - she was right. I was so sure I was right I would have bet anything on it. My point is I'm so wrong so many times on such goofy things like this that how in the world can I be trusted to navigate the things about this life. I forget names of people I've met just 5 minutes ago - I forget phone numbers, etc etc. I live my life based on that I can't possibly know what's right out of my own understanding - but I believe in someone and something that does and I concede to those measures. Again, if you don't believe in God that sounds crazy - but from my view saying a man was born with the incorrect genitalia doesn't make you right either. It's just something you've chosen to believe. What would you say to the people that can't afford the surgery? If you could what would you say to the people before this surgery existed? I don't think he's a deviant - I think he's lost and searching for something - and he hasn't found the only thing that can cure him and that's the fulfillment that only Jesus can offer. That's what I would say to him.
  22. I grew up in West Seneca - most of my family is now in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Alden.
  23. I don't think EJ is all that inaccurate. I think he makes the wrong read fairly often and then makes the more difficult throw that lead to incompletions. You could see his WR's were getting frustrating namely Woods. In saying that - I don't think it's unlikely he emerges. Either a lot of things have to go right for a young QB to develop quickly or a lot has to go wrong for them to learn from and work out. Mechanics get worse as confidence goes down - that's what I saw happen to EJ. I think he's got everything going for him and will win the starting job.
