  1. I really have no idea what my opinion is on this. I live in Charlotte NC and am so happy the NFL ticket exists. In addition, I've had a good experience over the last 17 years in terms of customer service from Directv. I guess I might not understand the other side of this argument because I don't' feel bound to Directv - I actually like the service.
  2. I just have a hard time reading Wesselings' stuff. It's always littered with contradictions that leaves me wondering how he's going to come around to his headline - then his write up doesn't - then he makes a bold statement at the end to match his headline. So basically the article reads IMO: Watkins should have had more yards and catches had he had a better QB - but he dropped a lot of passes, his route tree wasn't mature enough, and had a litany of injuries. This year the QB's in mini camp were awful so there's no reason to believe he'll be seeing accurate passes, Rex plans to run ground n pound, he'll be competing for catches with Harvin, Woods and Clay - yet "A healthy Watkins can be expected to topple that mark in 2015. The question isn't whether Watkins will produce. It's whether he will emerge as one of the best at his position, ultimately proving worthy of the exorbitant price the Bills paid to trade up for him."
  3. Of course. The intention of my question was rhetorical.
  4. Well wishes to you Van and I'm saying a prayer for you as I'm typing. I used to go to a dear friend of the families house for most Bills games and that dear friend has since passed. I remember him specifically buying a sound system so we could mute the TV and put Van on. I'm sitting in my home office in Charlotte NC and it's like I can hear the sounds of that living room with Van calling the game.
  5. So we shouldn't give money to the family that lost the child?
  6. So you would rather we sent emails to the NFL and cross our fingers that he didn't kill himself first?
  7. And I'm sure that family got more than another with a worse tragedy - what does that prove? Just because someone was helped more than another doesn't diminish it, why you would make a post like this is insulting. Shame on you.
  8. Especially coming from anyone in Florida.
  9. My TBD life got significantly better when I put Fire Chan on ignore a while ago.
  10. If we're honest that pretty much covers all of mankind.
  11. Very true. Still low information types just don't get it. China is one of our greatest allies. Our South American friends that come to this country by any means have helped this country in countless ways. To say that you didn't wait in some stupid line means you're a criminal is just insane.
  12. Anyone with half a brain can tell this country is on an uptick. All these haters of the hard work that's been done have their heads in the sand.
  13. "I cater those workouts to track-specific things, so I don't lose the rhythm I've always had to keep football and track in balance. I don't want to get too much on the football side and gain weight, so I'm as fast on the field." From a football fan perspective I'm not sure I like this quote. Maybe I'm reading this wrong but I don't think he's a good enough football player to tailor his workouts to be able to do both things.
  14. For all the different types, colors, consistencies, and endless possibilities - does the word soup really adequately describe this most delicious work of culinary art?
  15. I'll admit Brohm had me intrigued and I even went so far to think it possible he was our answer. I think I just grew tired of our weak armed QB's and was hoping on hope.
  16. Seems like a guy that wants to be a good guy to the point he doesn't seem genuine. He goes from goofy smiling face to I'm pissed face in seconds whenever I've seen him on tv. Erratic guy. My hunch is he's both a real good guy and a nut.
  17. Obviously Murph has been a long time stalwart of the Buffalo Bills but I can't listen to his show. It's just so boring most of the time. His questions are uninteresting and often times he asks the guest a question than says "I imagine ....." and answers the question for the guest and then they don't have anything to add to an already thoughtless question.
  18. You don't see how those two things can possibly be connected?
  19. I agree with you that the likelihood of Rivers being available is low and him becoming a free agent is zero. If anything they would franchise tag him and open up trade negotiations - obviously they will try to avoid that too. The only analogy that can be drawn from the Brees situation is if there's another Rivers to take over for Brees situation that presents itself to them with Rivers for ..... IMO there's only 3 options. If they like Kaep so the 49ers would be possible - if they like Foles so the Rams would be possible - or if the team with the 1st overall pick next year offers it and they like a QB. I don't see any possibility the Bills can get Rivers.
  20. This is what I think. It pisses coaches off when players miss "voluntary practices" but they can't do much about it - when they miss mandatory practice they'll really come down on you.
  21. Yeah but Hogan had Orton throwing to him.
  22. Everything I've read about him says he's probably a better coach than player.
