I also remember collecting the posters on the back page of the sports section in the Buffalo News. At the end of my collection I scotch taped them to my wall - which thrilled my parents. I remember my music teacher Mrs. Vento at Allendale Elementary gave me the only one I was missing which was Eugene Marve. I thought she was the nicest lady in the whole world for doing that for me.

I guess you could go through a bunch of scenarios with our existing running backs and try and make sense of interest in Rice. Fred and Boobie and Brown, etc, but for me the door closes with Karlos Williams. It's hard to make sense of it getting past the vets and a rookie being drafted.

Listened to the entire game on the Radio. As we were getting crushed I still had it on but it lost my attention - then it started unfolding into a crescendo of me jumping up and down listening as a 17 year old.

I just recently purchased my sons NFL sticker albums (Panini). I used to love collecting those stickers and trying to fill up the album. My two sons love doing it now and we'll continue with them again this year.

I tallied every pass that was thrown in these sessions. I thought it would be interesting to see how many passes were 3 step drops - 5 step drops - 7 step drops - less than 3 steps - Play Action/Roll Outs - and Shotgun (If the pass was from the shotgun but was also play action I gave a tally for both). I'm definitely not an expert on what all of this could mean in terms of play calling and how it would correlate to a young QB vs maybe a veteran. I thought everyone could kind of chime in on their thoughts based on this information. My novice observation is clearly shotgun was the overwhelming formation. Manuel struggled IMO throwing off his back foot. Even in the limited drop backs he just doesn't put pressure on that back foot on the last step and doesn't come forward with a confident throw. In the shotgun this was even more obvious to me, he hopped a couple times and then shows lazy footwork and seems to flick the ball instead of coming off the back foot. What does this information mean? What if anything in terms of play calling for a young QB should have been done different by the old coaching staff? Oh ok, it's my opinion Rex was involved in giving his input and it's my opinion Whaley makes the final call. Good lord. Of course we aren't on the staff and don't know - and I think your point about him discussing Hill and Bryant show that in most cases unless as you stated the coach has FO responsibilities - he gives his opinions but the FO makes the final decision. I think that should be the case and probably is.

My guess is that it won't take someone being impaired to not find this funny. It just wasn't.

I'm certainly he had a proportionate amount of input as I'm sure Rex was present in most of the draft talk/analysis. Draft picks are and should be a team decision with the ultimate call being placed on Whaley. I'm also fairly certain Whaley and the scouts didn't have another player they wanted and Rex wanted Darby so they drafted Darby.

Thanks to the Pegula's we get to have nice things now.

I think Whaley is happy where they're at on the o-line - both with the players that are competing to start and the money they are having to allocate. I don't think we'll see much action.

Beyond what appears to be a good head coach - the rest is kind of what he has had.

I think if all but about 4 teams had Rodgers they'd be in the hunt for a super bowl every year. The 4 that wouldn't need Rodgers already have a chance every year.
