  1. I thought the same thing. My second thought was Fred could have really thrived in that blocking scheme in his prime a few years ago.
  2. "Let's be sexy on Sunday's in the fall"
  3. I know right .... anyone with a fraction of football acumen knows young QB's don't need a good OL to develop.
  4. I don't see it like that at all. I see it as you're on your 1st date with a girl and because she was dumped by her ex is obviously mad and shouldn't be taken too seriously as she dogs him all night. Then after a short while she says I'd like to get serious and you say nah I'd rather keep this thing casual - so she goes out on a date (doesn't screw) with her ex boyfriend - and now your pissed beyond belief. Yikes you're a psycho.
  5. I'm not saying I don't want Spikes back - I do. But I think we might be over stating his play on the field. He started out the pre-season like a ball of fire and I think we've held on to that. I found him to be somewhat invisible a lot. He had 11 games last year with 3 combined tackles or less and finished with 54. In the locker room - no doubt he helped us - as evidenced by Brown's comments about saying it's not the same without him. I think he did his job by mentoring our young LB's and they shined. I would consider Spikes nearly the same as a Carrington signing. And I promise I'm not bashing him.
  6. I get it - but this team specifically at WR isn't in need of making a hail mary try at getting one. Three years ago, yes you may need to do this. We're just not the desperate for talent Buffalo Bills anymore.
  7. Of course they make mistakes and of course players are going to leave. We better get more and more used to it as we build an extremely talented roster where more than ever players are going demand being paid by the market. I don't necessarily think Levitre not staying as a mistake it was merely a decision that was made based on did we want to pay him that much. I think in hindsight - we did pretty well with that money.
  8. This is one of the most ridiculous posts I've read in a while. You're not comfortable with our organizational chart? They ran this off season in the most professional way we've seen maybe in the history of our franchise. They are clearly all on the same page and communication is at an all time high. The fact our HC was the only one to get a dinner with Collins is proof that they are at the front of every opportunity to make this team better. Polian not coming was the only inadvertent great move we've experienced.
  9. That's clearly a strategy that has worked in the past. I don't think any reasonable FO and coach wouldn't want 10 QB's in camp.
  10. I totally disagree. Expectations are warranted by the obvious additions and and a professional coaching staff. The core has been in place and already fit. The additional pieces are blocks on top of the foundation. There's absolutely no reason this team shouldn't be in every discussion for being a team to watch. No one is saying we're winning the super bowl - that would be a stretch - but to say expectations shouldn't be high is just not correct.
  11. No credible GM would sign him to be a WR. It's the same silly argument that Lebron could be a tight end. He couldn't and Pryor couldn't be a WR. I can't imagine a scenario where Whaley would do something so ridiculous.
  12. And that's happened 3 years in a row. That's why were a power house team loaded with talent. If our QB is decent - look out.
  13. Duke Williams - after all he played at Duke.
  14. I do think we could use the "we knew you'd be unhappy being picked at 50 or below"
  15. This is saying he had dinner with Rex tonight. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000491057/article/lael-collins-meeting-with-bills-coach-rex-ryan
  16. I would imagine we'd have a pretty descent pitch. "We didn't have a first round pick or we would have taken you, yes we could have taken you later but we didn't want to disrespect you and have you just not sign. We hoped all along we'd have a chance to pay you as a first round pick once these other teams passed on you."
  17. I'm not sure I understand what you mean here.
  18. You're just getting that feeling? I think they've clicked perfectly from the jump.
  19. The RB position seems crowded at the moment - but either before this year or next years season begins it will look a lot different. We are re-loading. The smart teams stay ahead of these situations and bring in rookies to play later when it's time to move away from a veteran (more expensive contract) to sign your key players.
  20. I don't think Whaley cares. I think we as Buffalo fans have been so conditioned to care about things like UDFA's and actually being hopefull about them. Steelers fans could care less about UDFA's and we're on our way there too.
  21. Remember the countless charitable things Jim and Jill have done for the Buffalo area and around the country since 89?
