He already had a breakout season in 2012. It's going to be very difficult to handle a work load which he won't be asked to do - that will be Ingram. So you'll see option 2 numbers from him. They realize Sproles made a big impact and they hope Spiller can fill that void. I don't think he can entirely - but I hope he plays well.

Is it time for Plan Z at QB
White Linen replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why oh why oh why oh why did I click on this???? -
Ok fair enough - so I'd just insert Vic, Rodak, Sal, and Kryks name in place of yours in my comment. Forgive me if I choose Whaley, Rex, and Roman over them and for that matter your opinion based on their analysis. I get it we all have our opinions that's what makes TBD a place to come - but to act like the professionals have no idea what they're doing and they should follow your lead based on you reading Sal is insulting. Very few are "gung-ho" about any QB - but we are smart enough to understand what the organization is doing in terms of building around them and that there wasn't much more that could have been done to address QB. How do you not get that? How do you not understand that there is good reason to believe that we're so good all around the QB that it's possible he can't sink the ship? Oh no, you want us to believe this "If they don't work some offseason trade deal immediately and improve this situation, it doesn't matter how good this defense or all the rest of the offense is". Well I'm sorry I think you're wrong and not as smart as the professionals - and apparently you don't think you are either. "I am unqualified to accurately assess QBs to the point where even commenting on a computer forum is a waste of everybody's time -- most of all my own. Instead I rely on the factual assertions of scouts, analysts, and reporters that report with a present sense impression."

Rex names the starting left side of the OL
White Linen replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess it's important to create the culture of competition - but we all know not every position is up for the taking. I get confused why it's handled this way with certain players. I don't get why Glenn has to be named the starter for example. -
I wish we could just somehow get you in front of these clowns Whaley and Ryan so you can coach them on how to get this done - and to admit how blind they are. Everyone knows you need a good QB to win - why won't they just get one? It's clear that they built everything else on this team except QB on purpose.

Sorry, honestly didn't mean to be nasty or anything. Just thought it was kind of inappropriate. -
Astro-Notes Day 2: Satuday 8-1-15

You should be getting paid to do this. The effort is so obvious. It's clean, not a lot of opinion, and impressively concise. -

It's certainly your call - but I think you're going to get some negative feedback. -
Leodis? Time to be worried?
White Linen replied to Franchiseneedsme's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leo is better/more important than most give him credit for. I'm concerned but hope it's just a precautionary thing - if it's something worse - than it's an issue because of my first sentence. -
I completely disagree on your evaluation of both QB's. I think Kaep is in that 13-16 range - but he's getting better and better - and you can't compare EJ to any of those QB's in the 13-20 range because they've played so much more. I'd also argue Kaep has far less to work with and he throws a lot less. For example Tannehill threw 590 times compared to Kaep's 478 and only had 600 more yards (5.35 yds per throw for Kaep on 112 more attemps ties him). EJ has played 15 games and Kaep 45 - you simply cannot compare careers in a meaningful way. I think EJ wins the job and throws for 4,000 yards.

I read some of your stuff man, but I do think it's at minimum tacky to come here to try and get people to your site. I don't think you'd like it if people did that to you on yours. -
Astro-Notes: Day 1, Friday 7/31
White Linen replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny I was thinking the exact same thing about a Month ago when I saw him holding a mic. He just looked worn out and tired - it's like he's trying too hard to fit in with the "new media" that it's making him look awfully uncomfortable. I loved his professional honesty back in the day - now it just looks engineered. -

Perfectly said and exactly right. -
I don't like Cassel at all - I just don't think he brings anything except being around. In saying that it's kind of too late to do something like that IMO.

Why should he even have to ask?

Sheldon Richardson suspended 4 games
White Linen replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing? Love how people like to act like drugs never play a part in anything to fill their anything goes agenda. “I’m not a dope fiend. I can say no. I just chose not to,” Richardson said. “I was in a depressing time in my offseason. That’s just that. It’s that simple. But there’s money on the line. My money is worth more than some weed. It is what it is.” “very strong odor” of burned marijuana. -

Of course, but it would seem reasonable to assume if it was legal the smoking and driving would increase more than it's likely it would stay the same or decrease. -

If it was legal it wouldn't compound the punishment. That's scary to think about.... -

See, there's so many positive things that would come out of making it legal to smoke pot. -

Less because you're not factoring in the math of moving up. Maybe this will help you. Bills got 4th overall pick - 1,800 points Bills gave 9th overall (1,350), 2015 1st round pick (19) (875 points), and 2015 4th round pick (115) (64 points) - 2,289 points We gave the equivalent of a 2nd round 41st overall pick to get Sammy Watkins (489 points) We win!!!!
