What we do next year for QB is dependent on Tyrod Taylor. If he doesn't emerge and our assumptions are right that they've turned the page on EJ - then we are a perfect candidate for a one year run at a superbowl with an aging superstar.
The only reason I'd consider trading him is because it's probably going to be difficult to sign him when his contract is due - so I wouldn't consider it until after this season.
Good grief. So you want a LB that can cover and be stout against the run? Ok, who's the available guy you'd sign to do that and be a backup?
You don't think our MLB has to stop the run do you?
I like you dude. You're coming off as genuine and aren't trying to create a commotion. He's on you and won't stop - so I do think trying to get your point across is a futile mission. I however do understand what you're saying.
I ran into Brandon Spikes during the off season and he said Marrone would sit at the back of the bus/plane and never speak to the players. He said he was vocal during practice but rarely spoke with them personally. He mentioned players did not like that and certainly not the leaders - who felt it was important to speak with the HC outside of the field. So I think you're right - DM is a prepared person and extremely organized and detailed. But he lacks the human side of coaching in a divisive way.
Very true but that concerns me more than makes me feel better that he should definitely be chosen over EJ. I'm not saying you disagree with that - just thought I'd comment on the flip side of that inexperience.
I also realize that NFL coaches should know much better than me and I'll trust they pick the guy that is deserving or that they see the most potential to run this team in.
I watched the game again last night too. Kujo looked good - but the stand out in run blocking far and away was Miller. Miller should cause every Bills fan to stare out at at nothing with a grin on our face so people are saying "whats he looking at and grinning about"?
I am an EJ supporter but have had to back off lately and realize he's not the guy. The two bad throws were so bad for two reasons - one they were just miserable throws coming off scrambling out of trouble (the one to Lewis that wasn't close and the one to O'Leary that fell terribly short) and the second reason is it's what he needs to be his strength.
He scrambles beautifully rolls out and just isn't close to two wide open receivers. It's so frustrating because if he makes those throws it thrusts him into the conversation - conversely it IMO totally removes him from it. Crucial mistakes to his career.
I hear similar thoughts on this - maybe not every round - but drafting a QB every year comes up often. How in the world would you propose to evaluate if a QB hits in this scenario?
I know the topic of our QB's and or situation going forward gets discussed constantly - but what is your solution?
I'd like the Bills to trade for Zac Dysert in Denver before the start of this season. He's an ERFA which I believe as long as he's tendered a minimum contract offer by Denver he has to sign that deal for the 2016 season. I'd be willing to give up a 4th round draft pick to get him and possibly a player too.
