  1. Timing won't work either unless they lose today.
  2. I thought you were comparing amount of teams picking a QB compared to the amount of franchise QB's?
  3. Little early to say the Colts are moving on from Luck.
  4. Yeah because only the truly gifted fan knows a DE is supposed to rush the passer on every play.
  5. I remember all the reports from camp saying Shaq was rushing the passer better than anyone? Then when seeing him play (although other posters mentioned the 4 sacks) appeared to not be rushing the passer. What I mean by that is, it looked like he was being asked to set the edge based on how he was positioning himself. I have no idea how I feel about this. If it's true, I hope the draft pick in return makes me feel better about it. Keep in mind this could all be for the sole reason of moving up to get a QB.
  6. Texans have 2 - 3rd round picks, one each in the 4th, 6th and 7th. Nice to know some of his notes and discussions will be rendered less concerning by going there.
  7. Cap Capi - for obvious reasons
  8. Exactly right. Vic saying he won't be our OC speaks nothing about an offer turned down.
  9. You think the VP of player personnel works for McDermott?
  10. Your thought is that the Redskins don't really see themselves for what they are - which then causes them to not fully commit to Cousins? If that's the case - what a massive failure. In your scenario why would Brees be superior to Cousins?
  11. I agree, the question was reasonable and relevant. It must be that snarky way Jerry talks that may have triggered the response. BTW, I also agree on your assessment of James. I'm not a fan of either as people or their profession.
  12. IMO, you can't do that for Cousins. I get it, he can thrown the football and it looks appealing. I also understand you can think about the hypothetical of him being on our team this year - and it appears all we'd need. First when it's game on the line or game that has to be won - Kirk Cousins will let you down. The in between is fine but he craps the bed very very often. It's the reason he isn't signed and is getting strung along by Washington. He's the type of QB that keeps you good enough to not be awful and sometimes the record will be good enough to even have double digit regular season wins. Similar to Drew Stafford. He's talented but the big time moments swallow him up. Both of them offer much more pleasurable seasons for their fans - but they're not going to have an opportunity to win it all. The contrary happens with the leagues best QB's and even they have up and down seasons. Those teams have some seasons where their defense, etc. just isn't the same - can't gear up from a previous tough grind the season before or they run into a little salary cap issue, but they always work back out of those situations to become contenders. Because when things align that QB is right there to give you that shot to win the super bowl. Cousins will never be that type of QB. He'll make it very difficult with the money he's making to get better in FA and sign players that develop into real good players. Then when things align - you draft well and players are on team friendly salaries - coaches have things clicking - you'll have a good season but a QB like Cousins shuts the door.
  13. At what point where all of you hoping to land Cousins - then realized he'd cost too much?
  14. He also said picks 6 through 10 - as if they're all about the same value. He's hilarious. He has to be messing with us.
  15. Can you say "should" just once? This will and is and are is why you look beyond ridiculous.
  16. What makes people skeptical of you is how you're acting. Seems you're trying too hard to get people then pat yourself on the back. Just let your information do the talking. If you do know someone giving information the long time posters will build your cred for you too.
  17. I'm not sure what you were watching but damn right he's above average - he's really good and he's 100% an outside guy. Never ever should you bring a guy that good on the outside to the inside.
  18. I hate Beane's in my soup.
  19. Cadet Mahomee?
  20. Gaines is fantastic on the outside.
  21. Because I don't want to spend too much for an OLB. I like "finds". He's first round talent that I like for potential to find himself with a good D coordinator. The Colts stunk and he has his best year - 45 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 FF's. He's a very long player at 6' 4" with long arms and speed - I like my OLB to be able to reach out/up in pass defense. He also has some pass rush ability. I'd compare him to Manny Lawson.
  22. This list is so lazy first of all. NaVorro Bowman would be someone I'd like to sign. Shore up the MLB spot for a few years. I also Like Mingo for the outside. I'd love Whitehead too but I think he'll cost way too much.
  23. I'd like to see every returner that catches the ball in the endzone on the kick off - TO STAY IN THE ENDZONE. One of my biggest peeves.
