  1. Him being a homer makes perfect sense and I don't mind it one bit. That's not to say he doesn't drive me nuts and cannot listen to his show.
  2. I think he's one of the most underrated coaches. He's done a fantastic job in the NFL and what he did at Penn State was pretty amazing.
  3. I agree with these. On the short pass to DiMarco, he and Tolbert were in the backfield together. It was a fake to Tolbert than a pass to DiMarco. Why these two are on the field together is preposterous - why Dennison would think using Tolbert as a decoy is mind numbing - why Dennison would think this set play would work is unforgivable.
  4. I have a question so I'm going to start a new thread.
  5. Whah
  6. I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about. Thank goodness for posters with the courage to start such thrilling new topics.
  7. After throwing for 56 yards and our second straight blow out loss - it's reasonable to believe the job should have been Peterman's - after watching Peterman play and a couple unfortunate things - it's reasonable to believe Taylor could have done better. So what?
  8. I just do not get threads started like this.
  9. I hope Eric Lee doesn't have another good game against us.
  10. I think you may have missed the point. Cassell and Mallet stink they likely draft another stinker - JG might be good.
  11. The way his knee was exposed - the injury could have been much much worse. I don't view him as a quitter at all.
  12. Growing up my Dad liked the Dolphins only to aggravate my Uncles and later me. My brother likes the Bills but doesn't love them, he's a casual fan but refuses to watch now after the kneeling. My two sons (11 and 13) are die hard Bills and Sabres fans. We're going to the Sabres game tomorrow night up in Raleigh and we'll be on pins and needles together on Sunday. My son turned 13 on the 18th and we got him the Sabres tickets for his bday, today he asked if his cousin could go. $102 later he's going with us (lucky the ticket right next to ours was available) and we're slowly converting him into being a nut like us.
  13. Smith isn't a version of Taylor in any way.
  14. I never realized the Patriots dominated us until now. Those dang coaches they have, wow.
  15. I cannot listen to Murphy. He'll pose a question, he already knows the answer he wants, then take callers. He then commences to tell the callers their wrong if they differ from his opinion which is only revealed after someone says something he doesn't agree with. On top of that he's so boring. There's never a single interesting thing discussed on his show, IMO.
  16. I know you did - that's why I kept going. I'm not a huge fan, just know the facts say he's had a decent career. Each time I prove you wrong on the numbers you go right back to hyperbole. He's built defensive teams awful to play against and it was no different in St.L/L.A.
  17. You're actually wrong again, they were 9-7 then 6-10 after he left .... keep going, then they were 2-14 drafted Mariota then went 3-13. He left them at 6-10, so one better year in the next 4 made them markedly better than when he was there? I don't think so. I'm not dying on any hill, just merely pointing out you're absolutely wrong about him being one of the worst ever. The moment you say - I didn't really mean ever - then I'll stop. With his only good QB (McNair) they were good but he's consistently fielded teams that were a b**ch to play against. It was no different in St. Louis - he got that defense playing nasty and that's what first started turning heads their way.
  18. I thought Hauschka, Tre and Poyer had a shot.
  19. Actually you're incorrect. the Titans didn't get better. They are 44 - 66 since he has left. We're talking about 2 teams and of course the year he gets fired is going to look bad - that's why he was let go.
  20. He had only 5.5 losing seasons in 16.5 years of coaching with the Oilers and Titans. He coached the Rams with Kellon Clemmons, Austin Davis, Bradford (got hurt), Shaun Hill and Foles. He finally decided to start with Keenum for a rookie named Goff to learn behind and it didn't work but Keenum sure does look like a capable QB now. They were a team known for a very good defense and if the offense got fixed were on their way going 7-9 twice, 7-8-1 and 6-10. He moved the darn team from St. Louis to L.A. and gets canned after going 4-9. The facts are he's not even close to one of the worst ever - not close. You may not like him and I don't think he's a great coach - but atrocious - nah.
  21. He's far from one of the worst ever. C'mon
  22. Unlike other posters, I do see what you're saying. I think you've stretched some things there but again understand the sentiment. I don't think we have momentum but a win in Foxboro and Miami could give us that. It's not momentum but there is something about how the Bills play under McD that has a certain "it" factor. It's why I think he can coach. He's had some head scratching on field decisions on the offensive side of the ball - but it takes a little while for a defensive coach to learn how to deal with those situations.
  23. I rarely go to any of ESPN's channels. I even stopped watching some of the daily shows I'd still enjoy (P.T.I., etc). Only when there's no choice for NFL Monday or a college game do I tune in. They should have strictly stayed with sports and they would continue to flourish - even with the rush of information available sooner.
