  1. But you haven't seen what they'll do at QB. They inherited TT and they're already scoring points in my book by clearly wanting to get away from him.
  2. Just hit the quote button on a post and it'll populate the post you're responding to. McD made it to the playoffs with a no name defense and a QB that threw for under 200 yards 8 times - twice under 100 yards - and did not have a 300 yard game. He sent clear messages that if you aren't pulling your weight - you will be gone and he sent some of those players packing. He's a little maniac fireball that's not playing around. He's a demanding coach that the players respect and respond to. We had no business being in the playoffs yet we were there. Let's let this little psycho build the team with players he wants and let his defense win games.
  3. I know you feel it's Jauron 2.0 but I think you're wrong. These guys seem to be on their game. They made some crazy moves and they've paid big time dividends. I think they deserve your benefit of the doubt. How McD got this team of almost no names to play for each other the way they did is pretty amazing. He's won the players over like no coach we've seen in a very very long time. Let's see what they do in the next off season or two before we condemn them back to failing. You seem like a good guy - have fun watching what unfolds. It's just as possible we snagged one heck of a coach and GM - as it is they're backwoods numb nuts.
  4. He had Kelly in his last year and Todd Collins throwing to him in 96 and 97. Then Flutie and Rob Johnson started Moulds emergence. He then had a down year with Van Pelt and Rob Johnson throwing to him then a huge spike with Bledsoe. Then another down year with Bledsoe followed by another good one. The QB matters and if you want WR's to develop you have to get rid of a player like Tyrod.
  5. You can trade a player but I highly doubt the player would be forced to report to the new team for them to "check him out". I'd have to think that the player is under no obligation to report earlier than the league rules for the start of the off season.
  6. Zay did stink but Tyrod didn't help. There were times when Zay was blatantly open and Tyrod doesn't throw the ball. You'll see a lot of times a QB will go right back to the same receiver that dropped a ball on the next play. It's that type of stuff that Tyrod doesn't help young WR's develop. Receivers don't grow with Tyrod - that's my point.
  7. That's about what it would take - maybe even a little more. This is where I'm at in terms of what it would take to get to #2. I don't think people are realizing how the 21st and 22nd pick aren't as valuable as they think.
  8. There is no way you're moving from 21 to the top 5 with that offer.
  9. There is a zero percent chance you're getting the 2nd overall pick for what you've proposed.
  10. This is one of the major reasons to not like Taylor as your teams QB. He's a development killer.
  11. Is it less ironic that people that never played football ever analyze draft values and success of college players - or an ex player that has never formally evaluated or scouted high school and/or college players? He's at least more qualified than them.
  12. Why is this a new thread topic?
  13. Tyrod isn't a bridge QB though and you certainly don't want any young QB to be groomed by him. That's not his game. He's a tough athletic freak that figures out a way to play NFL QB despite having little idea how to technically play the position. WR's, TE's and O lineman don't learn how to play their position better when he's under center.
  14. Tyrod isn't trash overall but he's among the leagues worst passers. He's a quandary because with being one of the worst pre-snap and anticipation QB's in the league he can sometimes overcome that and play NFL QB. He has figured out a way to make his backyard play at times be good enough to win NFL games. Quite amazing actually. He also, IMO, has absolutely no trade value. He's a guy that will be picked up after getting cut when the first tear of options choose their destination. He'll be brought in by a team that if their guy gets hurt - they wouldn't mind trying to salvage a season with him. He's not going to teach or mentor anyone and with how bad he is in the pocket he's not a stop gap - he creates confusion on offense. He makes it difficult to evaluate your offensive line and can't help develop WR's and TE's while a young QB gets ready.
  15. They've already proven you're wrong. This group ain't screwing around.
  16. He was the best QB in college this year. The best QB in the draft is obviously something entirely different and completely subjective.
  17. Absolutely no one knows. I do believe they will address the QB situation in a serious way - meaning either aggressively in the draft or Cousins. I just don't see them doing the, meh thing?
  18. As he was sliding, I sure wanted us to pick him. Shows what I know.
  19. or ever will want to.
  20. What's your evidence? We are constantly changing.
