  1. He's great for satisfying the Rooney Rule.
  2. Some of the tantrums have been pretty good but I expected more actually.
  3. 95+% of these posters have never watched him in a game. They read a few draft breakdowns, and then went on Youtube and watched some highlight reels. True experts indeed. The kid's complete percentage is 4.7% off from Rosen's and they are acting like he can't hit the side of a barn.
  4. This team was always being built for the future (2019-2020) and that was clearly evident from last offseason.
  5. What's the title of this book? Trade Breakdowns For Dummies?
  6. I watched a lot of his games and was always impressed with this kid.
  7. Highest ceiling.
  8. Your analysis also doesn't give any weight to positions. Who's the better GM, the guy who drafts 4 Pro Bowl players at FB, S, P, K or the GM who drafts 2 Pro Bowl players at QB and DE? It's well researched and presented nicely, but ultimately it means very little.
  9. The Pro Bowl pool has become quite diluted in recent years. There are players who deliberately pass on going just to create another possibility that a friend (who's in a contract year) might get that selection.
  10. Yup, he was on track for $40-$50M guaranteed. Now it sounds like he's trying to kill himself.
  11. He's 35 in July and wasn't part of the future of this team.
  12. Goal isn't to get to the playoffs.
  13. I'm expecting something like "The Bills have just traded with the Browns to get Tyrod Taylor back..."
  14. Nonsense. This accounting decision had very little to do with the playoff drought.
  15. Right. Let's spend a ridiculous amount of capital for 1-year of control over ODB when we don't have a proven QB under center. Some of the draft takes this offseason are just laughably terrible.
  16. We're going to see goal line formations where RBs lower their head and drive into the endzone, only to get it called back and assessed a 15-yd penalty? Can't wait for the first game to be decided on that call.
  17. They wouldn't. Making up outrageous things is a great way to get attention.
  18. The goal isn't making the playoffs, it's winning a title. You need a QB for that. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. The teams that are contenders year in and year out are those that have a QB.
  19. We've only been trying to win with another team's backup for a decade now, let's give it another 10 years to be sure it doesn't work.
  20. Whaley didn't build that defense, but he sure as hell wasted it.
  21. An indictment from the DA is a money grab?
  22. If he would have drafted Russell Wilson he might still be GM. But he didn't. Another guy that's basically a decent scout but has no business in the GM position.
  23. We've had a QB throw for 30 TDs once in our franchise history. I think fans would be OK with him.
  24. His salary would be paid by the new team unless there are some added stipulations. The amounts left on his prorated signing bonus ($2.8M) and his option bonus ($3M) would be immediately realized for a 2018 dead cap hit of $5.8M. However, it's still less than his current 2018 cap hit of $10.4M, so it would actually free up about ~$4.5M this year and have no future impact on the team. The Giants just did this with JPP, and they took a massive $15M dead cap hit this year but actually gained a few million in cap space. They did it to free up space for the future, presumably to deal with the looming OBJ contract. It really wouldn't make any sense for the Giants to take that hit and then take on Hughes salary.
