Great MMQB article on Tyrod/Bills decision
QCity replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great article. He really highlights how we have been living off turnovers (which is somewhat odd given that we don't have a pass rush). -
"I'm not a Tyrod Taylor fan," I've just been incessantly arguing with anyone who has dared to criticize him over the past 3 years.

Best thing to happen since Pegula fired Whaley.

Bills are 30th in passing yards, & 29th in total yards
QCity replied to reginald's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
National media? A good portion of our fan base is crying about it. Sad indeed. -
I honestly don't know who these people are or how they are connected to football. There are a lot of morons on social media that just want attention -- don't give it to them.

I don't visit enough to know who came up with that (certainly did it for comedic effect), but the cult thing seems oddly accurate to me. There's a group of people that pretend to be neutral and objective, but if you dare insinuate that Tyrod isn't a franchise QB, they will defiantly contest that argument to no end. You'll soon be reading a large cherrypicked statistical presentation on why he is our future, complete with a comparison to Russell Wilson. This thread is proof of that lol. I've read some crazy and amusing things on this forum, but some of the lengths fans will go to are just insane. For example, over the past 2 years there's been this growing narrative that passing yards don't matter. What?? In the dozen weekly Tyrod threads there will always be quotes similar to, "HAH, Rodgers passed for 457 yards and lost! I'd rather take a win anyday!" I mean, we all want a HOF QB, but because Tyrod lacks in that area, there are people arguing that passing yards are irrelevant. You know, a QB's primary purpose. That seems cult-like on a "Xenu and volcanoes" level to me. This was the hottest thread of last week, and that changed real fast in a matter of 3 hours last Sunday. If anyone is out there reading and still wants to know if Tyrod is a franchise QB, I can tell you this -- NOT IN BUFFALO!

Don't these coaches know he had a QB rating of 126 in a game?

How Quickly Can the Bills Be Eliminated From Playoff Contention?
QCity replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Week 17. 8-8 is going to get an AFC team in this year. -
That's the funny thing about cults -- when you're in one, you're not consciously aware of it. If you think there is some "anti-Taylor machine" out to get you (lol), you might want to take a step back. For the past decade this forum has been built on wishful thinkers that jump through hoops trying to convince themselves that some other teams' backup QB is going to be our savior. It never ends well.

The playoffs - actually within reach
QCity replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We could drop the next 3 and still make the playoffs. It's looking like an 8-8 team is going to get in from the AFC this year. -
PFF: Ranking the NFL QBs on 3-Step Concepts
QCity replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You should see his rating when he's rolling to his right, against a 4-man front, up by 6 or more points, against AFC teams, when the temperature is above 60 degrees. We've found our guy. -
It tells you absolutely nothing. Every current Bills player is on a team that's slotted for a playoff spot.
-
My theory is similar - that they were so completely dominated that by the 3rd quarter they were just playing not to get injured. I see a few fans comparing this to the "Ajayi game," but it really reminded me of that 50 - whatever beatdown that Seattle unleashed on us back in Toronto. That day the defense was helpless to stop them and basically quit in the 2nd half while Seattle racked up something like 280 yards rushing in that massacre (and yes, Dareus was playing that day).

Raiders Break Ground on Las Vegas Stadium
QCity replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's Vegas, the town was built for Superbowls. -
It would have made a difference, but not as much as fans think. They would have still ran for 200+ with him in a Bills uniform. The issue last Sunday wasn't with one person. His absence is just a convenient excuse at this point.
-
How many yards rushing did Oakland put up on us without Dareus? 53? Do you know that Dareus was only playing around ~25 snaps a game? If this was 2014 Dareus, you would have a great argument, but he wasn't playing anywhere close to that. Do you think Dareus would have stopped the Saints running attack when he was standing on the sidelines for 70% of the snaps, exactly like he was during that 4-2 start?

Playoffs? Playoffs?? The Playoff Chances Thread
QCity replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We got a 20% playoff chance if we go 8-8. The craptastic AFC just may be our best friend this year. -
Every Nate Peterman throw from the Saints game
QCity replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Starting Peterman on the road against the Chargers' pass rush probably isn't the best idea, and Arrowhead is even worse. Matching up a rookie with zero starts against Belichick would be cruel and unusual punishment. If things keep trending downward, the logical game would be the Dec 10 home game against the Colts. -
Tyrod 9/17 for 53 yards through 3 quarters. FRANCHISE QB!
QCity replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm amused by the fact that after a 56 yd passing performance fans want to ponder the philosophical question "Yeah, but what really is a franchise QB?" -
Not only has the CoT disbanded, but its members are denying ever having any association with it. 56 yards passing will do that. Or do passing yards still not matter? Good stuff. TBD has become more entertaining than the actual games.

It's refreshing to see a receiver come out of his break and the ball is already there. -

Taylor playing safe, conservative, small-ball down 3+ scores was pretty silly.
