Shaq Lawson and Jordan Matthews to IR
QCity replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone should bump the "Is Lawson a bust?" thread. We can read about how well he sets the edge. -
Geno Smith may earn the title of "Best QB of the 2013 draft" just yet. Next stop, Canton.

We moved up twice in the 1st round today.

That was worse than EJ to Watt.

The CoT will never die! -
You could ask him for tips for your fantasy team, that's a role he's well-suited for.

Speculation: is this McCoy's last year with the Bills?
QCity replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His contract was structured and designed to be broken after this year (and for good reason). Shifty 30-yr old RBs typically don't age gracefully -- they tend to hit a wall. He's certainly not part of the team's long range plans going forward. They simply need to get younger at the position. This front office isn't the type to wait for the car to fall apart before selling it. -

I thought this was sort of obvious to most, but judging by the replies in this thread... -
This Roster Will Take 2-3 Years To Fix

To quote Doug Marrone - "Obviously." -
No coach is ever going to say "it's a rebuilding year." Yeah, that would really sit great with vets like Shady and Kyle. It's not the coach's fault you can't read between the lines. Honest question - what did you think was going to happen when they accumulated 10 draft picks? Were you expecting them to trade those picks before the deadline to make a November push? Amen.

If you think we're going to be building a team through FA, you haven't been paying attention. -
It's incredibly naive to think a rotational DT is the difference between a first and last place run defense. He's not even a starter in Jacksonville. It's also silly to think Dareus playing twenty-something snaps would have stopped the Saints from rushing for ~300 on us. This is what true BBFS looks like. Exaggerate the loss of every player and whip yourself into hysterics over what could have been. I just hope Dareus doesn't manage to get a sack, some people around here might off themselves.

Luck has nothing to do with the draft picks they've accumulated. -
This is pretty much it. The fans that are just chanting "process!" after every win or loss are out of the loop. It doesn't refer to weekly game planning. The team is going to primarily be built through the draft, not FA. And that's another important thing to note -- they haven't even started building the team yet. All the fan whining to date has been about how they are tearing the team down. If a player does not fit into their long-range plans for 2019, 2020, and beyond they are getting shipped out (prepare for the end of Kyle and Shady).

Great MMQB article on Tyrod/Bills decision
QCity replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"I saw the deliciously snarky I guess it's Tyrod's fault the Saints ran for 298 yards takes that were so clever they could have been right out of a Leno monologue. The fact is, the offense’s 118 net yards over nine drives in the Saints game was just as egregiously bad as the defense's performance. They were both awful. You can’t raze your entire defensive roster midseason. If you want to make the kind of drastic change the Bills needed to make, and you think there’s even a chance you might have an upgrade on your roster, the logical spot is at quarterback." Another great quote, and a notion that's been seen quite a bit since the QB change (from people trying to sound clever). So, because the defense has been worse than the offense the past 2 games, the coach isn't allowed to try to improve the offense? That silly take came from more than one local sports reporter.
