He's an arrogant pr&*k, but he made the right move when he left.
-
In 10 months he will be the most hated man in town. That's the life of a OC.

He doesn't even play 50% of the snaps. He's a 2-down LB on a rotation. It was a great move shipping him out. You don't get faster after blowing out your knee. Moving Lawson isn't creating a hole, he is the hole. If anyone wants to know why our pass rush is so anemic, the first place they should look is the DE position. If Shaq was a 5th round pick there would be daily threads on how the front office failed to address the DE position, and how we now have to use a 1st on a pass rusher. But because he's a 1st round pick we have to cling to him? I don't know what you see when you watch him play, but I don't see a quick first step, I don't see much explosiveness, and I sure as hell don't see his side of the pocket collapsing on passing downs. It's not like he's drawing double teams, either.

What about his QBR though? -
I like a good defensive battle, but that game was just a case of "let's stack 8-9 men in the box because both these QBs are inept and can't beat us with their arm." If every NFL game was like this the league would go belly-up.

How difficult will it be to get back in 2018?
QCity replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think those with tempered expectations for next year are correct. The rebuild is still in its infancy and doesn't really begin until the 2018 draft. In fact, there are still major pieces on this roster that will likely be shed. -
He's in the conversation. The fans crying over the Gaines trade was just over the top. You would have thought we just traded Andre Reed in his prime.

Wild Card GDT: Falcons vs. Rams at 8:15 PM ET on NBC

We'll have to wait for the A22 to come out to truly appreciate how Watkins dominated that game as a decoy. -
When did you know today's game was over?
QCity replied to Chicharito's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty much. You can set your watch to the annual halftime tease against the Pats. -
We were never going to be contenders this year or next year anyways.

The outrage over Tolbert has been comical. There's no such thing as a season that hinges on RB2.

Those handful of plays have to be something noteworthy (sack, scores, etc) of course. Nobody bumps these posts when the player does absolutely nothing, gets injured, is benched, etc, etc If Ragland is able to stay healthy, and if he continues to improve his game, he has the potential to become a slightly above average 2-down linebacker. But those are 2 big "ifs"

This is exactly how "psychics" make their money. Every rational person knows Taylor is gone, just like they know a new stadium is coming in ~5 years. But man, when you deliver news in that style, heads explode. Let me try... A little birdie told me that the next massive Bills project is going to happen on Perry St. Whatever that means.

It's called arguing to the extremes. Not to mention if the stadium was moved out of the southtowns (and maybe downtown) it would be even less of an issue.

Considering the weather, I don't think that call was as egregious as some are making it out to be. The decision to let Webb throw the ball with only a minute left was far worse.

Eric Lee appears to be the real deal
QCity replied to Real McClappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His success had more to do with his familiarity with our offense than his athletic ability. It's easy to look like a stud when the opposing QB throws the ball right to you. He was picked up 12 days prior to the game -- not coincidentally that's 3 days outside the minimum 9-day signing window for upcoming opponents. He did a fantastic job scouting for them. There's no doubt the Bills knew this, hence the change in offensive scheme that featured pseudo-wildcat formations with Webb. Then, in an attempt to inject some interest into an otherwise lopsided game, Romo had some fun with it and triggered half the Bills' fan base into their familiar Chicken Little act. You might want to pump the brakes on that. Tantrum Tuesdays around here are always entertaining though.
