  1. 5 min watching his college footage should show anyone into the game the potential he had. The completion % stat was a knee jerk, mindless theme. Reporters and pundits just repeat something and suddenly it becomes law. I’d say the only thing that I was concerned about in year one was his lack of timing plays and his quick release game. As much as I just knew he was going to be our franchise quarterback, he even proved me wrong in these two categories last year. Allen’s play as we all know, it’s thrilling to watch. Let’s just hope that he plays smart and minimize his injuries.
  2. I don't see why we'd move down. We're not rebuilding. We're pieces away from the prize. Move down if the right guy falls.
  3. Not even sure how this works but I'd bet some cash on the over. And Cam Newton isn't winning Bilichick nine games either.
  4. I thought the same thing - dude's analytical skills took a bigger jump than Allen's QB skills.
  5. FWIW, I am logged in and see several display / retargeting ads, including ones I have to click on to get to this forum. Local car dealers, etc. Pretty sure I have an ad blocker. Clearly it’s not working well. I’d rather not see ads but it’s a free forum, and a good one at that, so it’s worth it. I’d personally pay a subscription if there were a mobile app.
  6. Kelvin Benjamin - the chicken biscuit eating quitter. What McD saw in this guy is anyone's guess. Kyle Orton - the guy had no passion and played uninspired.
  7. From the source study: "... games that had over 20,000 fans in attendance generated significantly greater spikes in the case count/rate for the county in which games took place within the 21-day window ... In this latter scenario, in counties where teams had 20,000 fans in attendance, there was 2.23 times the rate of spikes in COVID-19 compared to all other teams." We've also seen studies, including in NY, that concluded that 15k or so fans socially distanced in outdoor stadiums were safe. The problem is, as many have pointed out, what comes before and next - whether it's 5k or 25k. One has to be pretty dense not to expect a spike in a state like Florida after a Super Bowl in which the home team won. I think the NFL did an amazing job last season - protecting players and fans and allowing teams to decide. On a bigger note, we'll have more emergencies, scares and pandemics likely in our increasingly inter-connected (globalized) world. At some point, we have to live our lives.
  8. Translation: Please let it be a hate crime. Please let it be hate crime. The wokes: Facts, we don't need em. Just to say some facts, there are no facts, as of yet, that this is a hate crime let alone a terroristic act. But it clearly makes the OP, and many others, delightful to spread this narrative. I will never understand this. Utterly vapid.
  9. Out with the old. In with the ... old. In all seriousness, I do wish him well there. Seemed like a solid low 2 / high 3 from my vantage point, even during his injury last year.
  10. You can never have enough punters.
  11. Man, journalism. THE charges. What are the charges? You click the link in the story, and the other story says ... charges.
  12. When I was in the Air Force, at like 21 years of age, I went through a short stint where I thought it was totally kosher to have a drink or two at lunch. My job was a range monitor, which was the guy who made sure F-16s and other aircraft kept their distance in range airspace from each other. I think I could've totally refueled an F-16. But there was no way I could've called a nationally-televised football game.
  13. Great analysis, as always. Even my fiancé was asking if their DBs were “glued” to our receivers. Their coverage was insane. I think this was a result of A) Alan not taking advantage of dump-off plays B) A poor offensive game plan in general and C) Two of our receivers being visibly hobbled. This glue-like coverage is probably a direct result of the fact that they didn’t respect our power run game. And why should they? We haven’t run well all year. I honestly don’t know if it’s our line or running back but we need to fix it. On defense, I agree with everything. Our lack of push and double coverage on Hill/Kelce was our downfall. This team is special and our cap situation is better than the Chiefs. It’s been such a fun season, fellas.
  14. He must’ve read Skip Bayless’ tweet.
  15. 3 bad games all year. 2 against KC.
  16. I’ve always wanted to be in a gang.
  17. Gotta be a special treat for the 6700 fans in the stands. To witness this. Is this real life?
  18. I’ll always wonder how Nathan Peterman was considered part of the “process.” Our team was so bad that season, a guy quit (!) at halftime. How far we’ve come.
  19. Lol We always ask what a catch is. Apparently one doesnt even have to touch the ball to catch it
  20. It’s beautiful seeing fans in the stands, Ha?
  21. Sorry you, your fam and your mom are dealing with this. Glad this team could bring some fun and thrills for you my friend.
