Until the NFL allows coaches to challenge bad penalties, the refs will continue to just guess at calls. The call on Mckenzie looked like a blindside block at full speed. I was actually surprised when I didnt see a penalty called right away. It would have been better if Mckenzie just stood his ground and slowed the Fins player down. In any case these players have to get up to speed on these rule changes. The same call against the Bills in the playoff game vs Houston was absolutely killer.

When I saw the 49ers blow it vs Atlanta a few weeks, I thought they seemed overhyped. Jimmy G also seemed a little too good to be true. He is great when not pressured (as he was most of tonight). When the Chiefs D finally started to hit him hard, he started to buckle. In fact he had that "owwww" look on his face like Rob Johnson after a hard hit in the 3rd quarter. But the key to this game was Mahomes not be fazed by his mistakes. You could just tell he never doubted himself. He's a great player in the clutch. Sammy Watkins was also clutch tonight. I'm happy that Andy Reid got his ring, finally. He is the best coach never to have won one until tonight.

In rugby in order to score a try, the ball has to be physically touched down to the ground by hand. So American "football" also stole that from rugby. What I find odd is that rugby calls it a try and not a touchdown. You are scoring, not making a "try" to score. In the end they should have called it American rugby. but that ship has sailed!

Reid is a great offensive mind and a great game planner. His teams are almost always competitive. However his weaknesses are changing the plan in game. Last years AFC championship was a prime example. This year I thought it was going to happen twice vs Texans and Titans but Mahomes bailed him out. Win the SB and hes a shoe in.

Just a question, I've been pulled over by cops and normally its a talking to,roadside humiliation as people pass by and then a lecture and ticket. I just like to know what intel the Chiefs had that we didn't. They were willing to go after him and it was a masterstroke landing him. But what about the other teams ahead of us? Chicago took Trubisky ahead of Mahomes. A whole bunch of other teams with mediocre to bad Qbs passed over Mahomes. I think the Bills did what most NFL teams do on a regular basis, completely overlook diamonds in the rough. Whalley got fired 2 days after the draft so was the choice to trade the pick entirely on McD? If so he is the one who is clueless but the Pegulas should have hired a new GM much earlier with a vision of what was needed in the draft. The entire time period after immediately after Rex's firing seems to have been a total debacle.
