The cop in question seems to be belligerently looking for alcohol. Why is he even in that locker room? so he kind of deserves some comeuppance. An ass slap is not really my first choice for that but he seems like he is being a dick. Of course with OBJ around anything can happened. At least he didn't grab the cops cojones.

Some people didn't want Rosen because he was an open atheist in a league of holy rollers. Besides his own poor performances, I cant help but wonder if the fact that he isn't a believer hasn't also hurt his chances in the NFL. Nate Peterman who was much worse in performance and potential talent, got a lot of mileage out of the religious factor. Maybe Rosen is the opposite?

I'm wondering if the rest of the league shuts down Lamar just like they did when they figured out Kapernick. Just like Lamar, Kap was unstoppable for a season then once the genie was out of the bottle it was a swift decline. I also agree about O'Brien, its embarrassing that the Bills lost to a coach so dense and so predictable.

Seattle just came up short when it really mattered. Perhaps Wilson is showing his age but his ability to sense the blindside has fallen off considerably. Some of the sacks he took tonight were killer, esp on that last series. But I would have still put the ball in his hands on that long 4th down rather than punt it away. That fool Pete Carrol, trusted his defense vs Hall of fame Rogers but he forgot that he needed to put his faith in the officials and especially the replay officials. The last first down by the Packers was at least a foot maybe more short. Even when they reviewed it and it clearly showed how short he was and even after Zapruder brought in his additional footage, the morons still couldn't give the Seahawks justice. It might have made a hell of a finish to see Wilson with the ball back in do or die.

Im not sure if I feel better or worse after watching that Texans melt down. After all the hype about Watt and Watson in our game they were pretty ordinary and mortal today. In addition the Texans D who were we thought they were, which is utter crap. How we could only score 19 pts on that leaky sieve of defense is a huge embarrassment. At the same time had we been given all those gifts like the Texans got in that first quarter I think we could have beaten KC too, which also makes losing to the Texans even worse.

Divisional Round: Titans at Ravens
Livinginthepast replied to egd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lamar looked terrible tonight. Reminded me of Kapernick when the league started to figure him out. -
Josh, Wentz and Jackson tonight have taken helmet to helmet hits in playoff games all without any penalty being called. Of all 3 , Josh's was the most possibly excusable as it was in the play (but was still leading with the helmet by the defender). For Wentz and Jackson tonight, both were classic dirty spearing hits. Wentz got knocked out of the game and any chance the Eagles had evaporated. Were the refs ok with Lamar receiving the same fate tonight? When the MVP of the league cant even get an obvious call in a game and when the league decides to not fine Clowney for his hit (and most likely the Titans defender after tonight) what is to stop teams from using that strategy every time they go up against a superior opponent? Just hit the QB late or dirty and decapitate the entire offensive game plan. The NFL officials are now starting to resemble the refs in professional wrestling and instead of rectifying matters at the league office, they double down on the stupid and give Cody Ford a fine??

Divisional Round: Vikings @ 49ers

The Vikings looked like the overrated underprepared team whose ass we kicked last year. -

Helmet to helmet on the Vikes receiver and then the same guy gets tackled by the helmet...No call. Great officiating! -
Cody Ford, go fund me page for fine
Livinginthepast replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a horrible call even with the NFL's dubious reinterpretation of the rule. You would think that the league would review it and see that it should have never been a penalty and if it was (based on their blind man's interpretation) it was hardly egregious and a mild block. But no!! The NFL double down on their stupidity and douchebaggery and fine Ford! Idiots! -

The key for the Vikes seems to be let Garafalo reveal who he has locked on to and jump the route. He seems to be pretty predictable. -
Mike Mularkey retires from coaching
Livinginthepast replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was such a forgettable coach and it was such a time of hopelessness even though the drought was just starting. The situation with Ralph was also well into the senile stage and some of the decision making had become perplexing at the best of times. Mularkey's failure to get us into the playoffs vs a team of 3rd stringers was one of the biggest failures I've ever seen in coaching in any sport. The team just did not seem prepared in that game or motivated at all. In retrospect, Mularkey's era is like a childhood trauma or humiliation that your mind has buried for you to avoid further issues. -
There was no way that they could keep Foles, they would have had to pay him and terminate the Wentz project. Wentz was too high a draft pick to blow off for Foles but Wentz is who he is, a qb who gets injured quite a bit and can look brilliant but terrible as well. Wentz looked great against us but in other games has looked overwhelmed or confused by what he was seeing out there. Foles got injured so its hard to tell what he will do with the Jags but I don't think either of these qbs can repeat what they did when they had Reich as the OC.

I really don't like the Browns sniffing around competent coaches, that makes me nervous!! I've kind of enjoyed the dumpster fire of late! -
The REAL reason Duke Didnt Catch The TD Pass
Livinginthepast replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Brown steps out before the ball arrives and then steps back in and catches it with two feet in, is it still a legal catch? -
The REAL reason Duke Didnt Catch The TD Pass
Livinginthepast replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Local college wideout? Please don't stop there! Apparently it was such an easy pass against that puny 6ft DB (who is apparently legally blind and was just feeling around in the shadows for Duke) that several members of TBD would have easily caught that pass ONE HANDED. Duke just is a CFL scrub and is used to catching the CFL football which is made by NERF in a league where the DBs are one legged. -
The REAL reason Duke Didnt Catch The TD Pass
Livinginthepast replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No pass interference but not a drop either but weirdly he still should have caught it. I think it was a great defensive play by the DB because as you can see by that slow mo video, the much smaller DB hits Duke and catchs his leg spinning him first and then has the presence of mind to arm bar Duke so he doesn't get the bobble either. It was superb pass defense. People calling this a drop should maybe watch Ronnie Harmon vs Cleveland in the playoffs or Stevie Johnson in this clip. -
Duke Williams played more snaps than Cole Beasley
Livinginthepast replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be nice to have heard an explanation right from the head coach and not guess work. Listening to Beane today I was surprised how honest and candid he was about Josh. It would be nice if they could be so about all player personnel moves this season. -
The fair catch, that wasn't.

I've been watching football for 40 years, Ive never seen additional off field officials come on the field during a game ever. Has the NFL explained who these guys were and how they were allowed to rush onto the field? -

Did anyone explain at the post season press day why Duke was inactive for most of the season while other inferior players played? -
which of these 3 cost the Bills more
Livinginthepast replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Allen sweep blocking was obviously awful but there was another missed block that I can remember that could have been really impactful. It was the screen play where Singeltary got huge yardage near the end of the 4th?. He goes out there with Cody Ford and they both run down the sideline together. Unfortunately, Ford is either too slow or doesn't pick up the sprinting Texan defender who runs right by him and tackles Motor and ends the play. I thought Singeltary might have scored and we would have been up 4 with no time for the Texans to respond..
