  1. These deadline deals rarely work in football. Its not like hockey. If the Bills could have pulled a deal like Florida getting Marchand this year that would have been amazing. But I am disappointed that they didnt add any depth. The Cowboys Jets trade for Williams might have been nice but the Bills just dont have the cap room? or the price was too high? Maybe the Jets dont trade in their division?
  2. That hit on Kelsey was years in the making! How many times have we seen Kelsey get wide open and then pay no price for catching a pass? !
  3. Another broadcast legend from my youth dead. Joining Cosell, Meredith, Gifford, Madden, Summeral, Endberg, Olsen, Charlie Jones and the great Van Miller. Lots of great memories from Trumpy, some classic games and some memorable Bills ones.
  4. What has happened to Washington? Daniels back in and they still look terrible??
  5. How much bad luck can one team have with injuries? Its like we are under a black cloud the entire season!
  6. I will give credit where it is due. 1. Way better from Brady, decent play selection overall, Cook was awesome. But got too conservative on the playcalls on a few drives and at the end. Also can we please throw a true deep ball one of these games? 2. Way better from the defense. Great pressure and pretty good against the run. but Hoecht injury is just unfair. He was playing great and really seemed to elevate the rest of the D. I am also glad that McD and Babich figured out that rushing the QB on a Hail Mary was better strategy than giving him all day to throw. We've seen the end of that stupid movie too many times 3. I would be very interested in a study of McD's defensive time out usage and the subsequent play? Is it a myth that they backfire or accurate?
  7. Kelsey always wide open every game vs the Bills.
  8. I know we are one of the worst 3rd and long defenses in the league but what about 4th and ridiculous?
  9. I know we are one of the worst 3rd and long defenses in the league but what about 4th and ridiculous?
  10. The guy who was on him let him go and turned around?? Baffling defense.
  11. Yes convenient how the refs didnt see that but why someone in the secondary didnt come up and recognize the open man was ridiculous.
  12. I was about to say how well the defense was doing before that pathetic pass defense on that play.
  13. Gene Steratore Rules expert doesnt know the rules!! NFL = JOKE
  14. Soft Zone and no pass rush is not a strategy Babich.
  15. We've played them so many times in the past few years but weirdly I feel the most uncertain about this game as I have for any previous one vs Mahomes. Anybody else just feel befuddled on how they feel we will do in this game? There seems to be way more variables than usual.
  16. What?? Combined??!!!! Sorry? Your source on that? Google AI says Recent NFL deep ball completion percentages vary, but Tua Tagovailoa led the league in 2024 with 72.9%, while Joe Burrow holds the highest career percentage (minimum 1500 attempts) at 68.6%. A pass is generally considered "deep" if it travels 20 or more yards downfield, encompassing various routes beyond just bombs. Top Performers (as of late 2025): 2024 Season (Leader): Tua Tagovailoa (72.9%) Career (Leader): Joe Burrow (68.6%, min. 1500 attempts) Last 3 Years (Tied for High): Jalen Coker, Adonai Mitchell, Breece Hall (100.0%, though likely with very few attempts)
  17. Josh is considered to be the best QB the Bills have ever had but Kelly was still a better deep ball passer. Back when Josh was a rookie he worked with Jordan Palmer who really improved his throwing motion and mechanics and it really seemed that deep ball throws would improve. I think this part of his game never evolved since. Had Dabol stayed I think he would have challenged Josh with a more complex offense and we would have seen this part of his game get better. But Dorsey and Brady after him, seem to be scared to try.
  18. Atlanta are a bad team that apparently had their SB against us. Instead of spanking them badly we enabled them with our unpreparedness in that game. I think NE will handle them easily if Maye doesnt get injured.
  19. Its always been a weak moral victory for me. Yes its an achievement to do it 4 years in a row but the fact that I watched them lose 4 in a row is still a deep wound in my soul. Its not just that should have won at least 1 or 2 of them, its the bad luck we encountered in each game and the pure karmic unfairness of it all that a team that great never winning it. That being said, for me finally winning the SB hopefully washes that all away.
  20. Wow some great memories of both Gabe and an offense that worked and was entertaining in the process. Looking at this now its almost like the Bills offense was a dog that got neutered. Sure the dog is calmer and doesnt hump you anymore but isnt as much fun!
  21. Ed Oliver and a crate of brittle champagne glasses for Thomas! Get er done Beane!
  22. Judging by others who have had the same injury as Gabe had, the speed reduction is immense. It would be improbable that he would be able to get open and create space. Then again Diggs did it against us albeit due to McD's soft zone coverage.
  23. If you are getting a defensive replacement for Oliver it still may have an impact but I fear that any weapon we might get on offense is going to be neutralized by Brady's inability to use him. The person in question would have to be elite and develop quick chemistry with Josh. Such a player seems to be unavailable and we cant afford unless Beane trades high picks.
  24. As a fan going back to the 1979 season, I can tell you that the only time I felt that the SB was a lock was right after they beat the Raiders 51-3 in the 1990 AFC championship. And then wide right just ruined everything. Since then we have gotten teased with a SB but never ever had everything go our way. This year my expectations were pretty middling. I certainly didnt count on the Pats emerging so fast. Denver also scares me a bit more than I thought and the Colts leading the AFC? Just WTF? in the end I think this current squad could win it all but so many things have to be right. I still say that we do win an SB it will be because of Allen's heroics and not with anything our coaches are going to do.
