The loss of Hollins and the lack of use of Johnson has had a much greater effect than most people realize. Hollins was a great safety valve for Josh and had the ability to get open on designed routes and especially when plays broke down. Johnson was a great option for passes out of the backfield. Why they stopped using him just doesnt make sense to me.

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills
Livinginthepast replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this game is going to play out like the last one vs TB. With Mayfield running around completing passes and our rushers chasing him like a Benny Hill sketch. I could even see it coming down to a last chance Hail Mary just like the last game. Our offensive game plan? No idea what to expect. -
T.J. Sanders to return to practice this week from IR
Livinginthepast replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Dolphins almost did it and the Jets are blowing it up way more than them. Beane has no problem trading with the Chiefs (not division but our biggest nemesis). Anything is possible with the right negotiation skills. And if not the Jets then he should have got help from somewhere else. We have no depth and the injuries are piling up. -
T.J. Sanders to return to practice this week from IR
Livinginthepast replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hoecht made such an immediate impact but Ogunjobi has yet to be relevant. Sanders played in 4 games with just 2 tackles before his injury. Getting Williams from the Jets would have made a world of sense last week, but Beane failed. -
MNF - Eagles @ Packers (no Bills stuff please)

Thursday night football was terrible and now Monday night is awful too. -
Its definitely on this terrible crew of receivers. People are not really getting open unless the play breaks down. Bizarrely they make a real effort when that happens. 4 years ago we had several people who got open right away: Brown, Beasley, Diggs and Davis. There was always an option. Now there isnt. Josh also seems to have lost a bit of the confidence in taking off and running with it so there is that split second of hesitation which I think is resulting in more sacks. Did the coaches caution him on running?

At the very least I hope this puts some pressure on Brady to coach for his job. Yesterday was abysmal.

I love all the people on here hating the idea of bringing Dabol back as if he was a terrible OC. The guy had Josh firing on all cylinders, a dynamic offense with swagger, innovative plays and schemes that actually worked. He literally had us 13 seconds from defeating the Chiefs and a clear run to the SB and people dont want that? You'd rather have Brady and his Pop Warner offense? Fire Brady immediately and get this guy back in!

An old work friend was from T and T in the Caribbean. Thats how he used to say "third" like on the "turd" of November. Well that was the Bills Turd of November, hopefully no more where that came from!

Were We Running Into a Stacked Box?
Livinginthepast replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes that was their strategy. Of course a smart OC would anticipate that and have a plan B and plan C, but well you know where this is headed. -
Is Nathan Peterman available?
-
Easily. Another question, are we going to do anything different on offense to surprise them? Not a snowball's chance in hell.

Ive had that awful feeling throughout the past few years that a better coaching staff maximizes what we have to win. Watching Vrabel take a middling bunch to a higher level so fast just proves it. This current crew from McD, the OC, the DC and even the lesser coaches like STs etc just dont have that.
-
But Cincy was a good team. Many of McD's stinkers have been against crap like the Dolphins today.

This regime is bad at picking offensive coordinators
Livinginthepast replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
As weird as this sounds I would agree. Our offense looks like one from my high school football team where we would run on 99% of all offensive snaps. When I innocently asked the coach why dont we pass some more or do some reverses, etc he looked at me in fury and replied that it was "too complicated". LOL I guess it was! -

We have had amateur hour since Dabol left. Hiring in house was a criminally stupid decision. You saw the Dolphins carve us up with inferior talent at QB today because their offensive gameplan elevates their whole offense and gives them the best of a bad chance to win. Our OC and his gameplan neutralizes our offense and takes away our best weapon in Allen. Beane did nothing at the trade deadline but even if he had, how would vanilla Brady and his high school offense use Waddle or Shaheed? We let go Diggs and then the absolute best for the low money receiver in Hollins and replaced with what? Guys who have had little impact. Its just repeated stupidity that is finally coming home to roost. -
Even great coaches lose but they dont lose in the variety of ways that McD does. McD has had at least 7 or 8 brutal losses since he became our coach. Either blowouts (Chicago, Colts) , Incompetent in game coaching (13 seconds), bad personnel decisions (Peterman INT fiesta vs Chargers) or like today, terrible preparation where the team comes out flat and don't look like they have studied any film.

We've been beaten by loser teams a few teams in the McD era, Atlanta was pretty bad this year, Jacksonville in London and in Jacksonville was bad. -

Yup, he got us out of bad situations throughout last season, was a great blocker and had great swagger for the team and we treated him like he was expendable. So stupid. -
