  1. This is an excellent point but trying to do exactly that was intensely stupid on Rex's part. The best part of the forgettable Marrone era was Jim Schwartz's Defense!
  2. Alcoholism is a demon that stalks you but he is an ex player, with a mega successful son who has the means to at the very least mitigate, if not cure his addiction. Where the hell is the family? He's lucky he didn't kill somebody.
  3. Eric "Sleeping with" Bieniemy!! Sorry That's a little tribute to Chris Berman there circa 1990 for the old folks on here.
  4. I think we also fumbled 2 more times and we recovered them!
  5. SB vs Dallas in 1993 was an embarrassing loss for sure and the magnitude of the game probably puts it as the most devastating! To me though the most embarrassed and angry that I have felt in my 45 years of fandom was the 56-10 Jauron loss on Sunday night football vs the Pats where the Bills just put their asses up and took it and Belichick just kept going for 2! Back to the SB game. I was feeling very confident in the Bills chances. I thought for sure the Cowboys would be a better opponent than SF. The resulting pounding was shocking to me. Sure the Cowboys were talented but on that day they were way better prepared than the Bills who as soon as things got tough just crumbled. Levy was a good coach and was an old school "win one for the gipper" inspiring speech motivator but compared to JJ on Dallas and his preparation he was obsolete. The game itself was such a trainwreck of gaffes and bad luck. Had the Bills even avoided 2 of the turnovers they could have hung with Dallas until they found their feet. But the opposite happened. The Kelly fumble throw into the arms of the Dallas player for a TD was just crushing but the subsequent one in the endzone in the 2nd quarter was devastating. Even when Reich came in, I thought they had a chance but the incredible gaffes never stopped. Fumble after fumble and terrible INTs. The Bills didn't just get beaten they humiliated themselves!
  6. The Ravens tried this on Sunday and it failed miserably. The Ravens were stupid dirty trying this with Mahomes. I haven't seen a head slap on QB like that since my childhood. Maybe Lyle Alzado? Mahomes still beat them. Hockey is about the only sport Ive seen this style or finishing your hit used successfully to throw a player off. Football you just dont get the chances to do it. Look at Brady 20 years of barely getting caressed by rushers.
  7. Thats the big elephant in the room for both!
  8. Ben Johnson has to take some heat for the run call where they had to burn a TO at the end. But it compounded the Campbell blunders.
  9. Campbell put in them in the position to win last night but also made some blunders that made their loss not just possible but eventually inevitable. In the end I think its a wash for both. The reason Detroit lost is that in the crucial moments the players themselves didnt make the plays: 1. The Killer fumble 2. The db not intercepting the deep overthrow to Samuel but assisting him to catch it (Cam Lewis/Justin Jefferson style) instead of knocking it down. 3. Goff misfiring on a few throws where it looked like it slips out of his hands and the receiver was open. 4. Dropped passes that were well thrown in the receivers hands (one on 4th down). 5. An easy dropped INT that might have been a pick 6? 6. At least 3 whiffed sacks on Purdy where he ran for huge gains Thats just what I can remember. They are a young team and obviously in those situations the pressure just ate them up.
  10. No way! Next up for the interview is Sean Mcdermott himself. He will interview himself in the mirror and judge the candidate to be superb! and like the cut of his gib! A lock for the job!!
  11. One is aggressive and the other cautious but both seem to blow it under pressure.
  12. I feel bad for the Lions and their fans but that loss was very Billsy. Questionable coaching, bad luck and inept play killed them. The only thing non Billsy is that the refs didn't screw them. An epic way to lose nonetheless.
  13. Im so glad the NFL changed the onside kick rules to make it so rare for a recovery. 2/42 in the regular season. No drama at all.
  14. Now Lions fans know how we feel year after year. Losing sucks but losing when you should win? it scars you!
  15. Detroit has been very aggressive all season but you live by the sword and die by it. Also did Goff hurt his hand? several throws have had wobbly spirals.
  16. The amount of drops of catchable passes in this game is embarrassing for both sides. That should have been a TD
  17. Reminds me a bit of our Houston playoff loss. We also gave the game away up by a lot.
  18. Lions are officially playing idiot ball now. Fumbles, drops and a chance to pin them on the 1yard line completely blown by clumsy play.
  19. I always wonder why the Bills didnt pull the trigger on him. and he was at Carolina too!
