The Bills need to stay aggressive on offense but adjust for the constant blitzing. Dabol please wake up! -

Is Dabol not aware that the Oline is hurting? Seattle appear to be blitzing on every play. Adjust to this new reality ASAP!! -

Best single play in Bills history
Livinginthepast replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not the best or biggest play for me but one of the most frustrating. Mcgee did an amazing job to get down that field and somehow with a convoy of at least 6 Bills blockers he gets tripped up by one Saints player inside the 10??!!! I can remember wanting to break my tv after watching that play finish!! -
TBH I hadnt really paid any attention to this signing at all. I did finally notice him when he over pursued Cam Newton on the TD. Then I started to notice how bad this guy was (at least in our defensive scheme). And.... wait for it.... He also played for the Carolina Panthers!!!! Wow did Beane not learn his lesson with Diggs or Brown that you can get quality difference making players by dealing with teams OTHER than Carolina?? Its getting ridiculous how he gets every Carolina retread in here!

Drops - Not a great stat
Livinginthepast replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But drops only matter if its a circus catch by Duke Williams in the playoffs? The Davis drop was unforgivable even for a rookie. At least we won the game but that was Ronnie Harmon esque. I do agree that Josh's velocity probably goes up if he is forcing things and that is one of the things that I thought he had improved on in the first 4 weeks. Lately I have seen it creep back in. I think the speed that he throws at sometimes throws off the timing of receivers. He needs to relax in those big moments and not muscle it. -
How you felt about the win
Livinginthepast replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even though they won I felt very angry at how that game went right after it was over. Once the usual sickening stress of what looked like a sure defeat to the Pats in the 4th quarter had abated, I felt differently. A win is a win no matter how ugly. A win for this franchise over the Pats is priceless at ANY TIME. TBH I thought the Bills game wasnt that bad now I have some perspective. The problem was the INT and the dropped TD in the endzone. Overall,I think Daboll did a good job to put us in a position to win and with some better execution from some of the people on offense, it would have been much more comfortable. The Pats are injury riddled, disheartened and just dont have the talent anymore. Cam Newton looks bad and really isn't the type of veteran QB to mentor anyone (so no plan B) . Their plan to bring him in and not miss a beat exposes Bellichick for the mediocre bum (without Brady) that he looked like in Cleveland. All that being said, it infuriates me that Beane has not brought in more people to help this defense. There are solutions out there. There are lots of out of work players or practice squad guys around the league who would do a better job than some of these guys are doing now. Get some people in and cut some of the deadwood. I think this team could win it all if they got on a roll at the right time, the offense has shown it can battle with anyone. But our defense just doesn't have the playmakers who can change a game vs the big boys which dooms us in any playoff scenario.
